very durable, easy to use
This works very well, I have arthritis and is still fairly easy for me to use, it's also dishwasher safe!

The screw is the screw is too thick and consequently chews up the cork

KitchinAid is always better
So I don't drink alot of whine but I'll say this opener far surpasses the quality of the cheap ones from the grocery store. I will say that having longer arms gives a bit more leverage for stubborn corks but I have had no issues. Great product

Don't Buy
It was the worst winged corkscrew I have ever bought. I bought it because it was made by kitchen aid.

Works well
This opened a bottle of wine that had been sitting on my counter with a Swiss Army knife corkscrew sticking out of the top like a T. Once I removed it, I tried to screw this one in. It wouldn't catch on the cork at all. I don't drink much, and wine is low on my go-to list when I do. I was looking up all the ways to open a bottle of wine without a corkscrew, and fire around the rim works. However, when you'd prefer to class it up a bit, invest in one of these babies. It will send the message that you won't need a survival kit on your first date. Though, you may want to practice before your guests arrive. When Corkscrew Directions say to insert the tip of the screw at an angle, it should be at such an angle that the very tip is perpendicular to the top of the cork. At that point, press down and twist to start it off. While still pressing down and twisting, straighten the entire corkscrew until it is perpendicular to the top of the bottle, like a T. Screw it down just to the top of the turning, screw portion, and slowly press both of the silver wings down. If the cork is still partially in the bottle and will not easily wiggle out, what I did was screw it in just a little bit more and press the wings down again. That was enough. As you can see, I am no expert. I am also not mansplaining because I'm a woman. I guess I'm just splaining like Lucy might be doing today if she still had some splaining to do. My point is this, if you want to be classy and impress your next of kin, baby daddy, or, perhaps, baby mamma, you should start with one of these. It works well, it looks alright, and it's only twenty bucks. I feel like I'm making a commercial for erectile dysfunction. It's a serious problem and shouldn't be taken lightly... just like using any old internet remedy to get down and dirty with a bottle of wine. Do the right thing and invest in your future. Also, if you're not alone, wear a condom. Wow. No more reviewing while under the influence.

good corkscrew
Corkscrew twists & pulls out a wine cork pretty well. The design is pretty sleek, though I kind of hate the chrome-plated iron look to the metal. It's a bit cheap looking, even if the tool itself is overall very nicely designed.

Works great
This is very easy to use. It doesn't take long and when you pull the wings down the cork comes right up. I only have one complaint about it and it's minor - I have a bar cart with a shallow drawer and it's made thick so it touches the top of the drawer when I shut it. It takes up a lot more room than more simple corkscrews.

Attractive.
I've got three main sentiments about this corkscrew: ???? It's attractively designed; it's a far cry from the typical design that looks like it was made for the Spanish inquisition. ???? In the hand, it doesn't feel like the highest build quality. Maybe it's a discrepancy between the fact that it looks more premium than its price would suggest. In that way, I suppose it's a compliment. ???? Functionally, it performs as well as you'd expect. No better or worse than other comparably priced corkscrews. As long as it does the job, it's fine with me. This is certainly as good an option as any if you need a bottle opener. KitchenAid's leaned more into aesthetics, and I can appreciate that.
