Great protection

Got this one for my kiddo that tends to go Evel knieval on her bikes and scooters. Doesn’t believe in brakes. I like the attitude, but being a little safe doesn’t hurt.

After checking out the rest, this was the best option for my 2 and 5 year olds..

After researching helmets from Fox, Shoei, etc..., and the general amazon no-name stuff, this was the best option. I ordered two and was pleased with the quality and fit for the price. My kids are using these while riding their upgraded powerwheels quad and side by side around the house. I wouldn't go this route with a kids gas-powered (or high-output battery) quad or motorcyle, however. TL'DR: Perfect for my kids needs now on their fast powerwheels.

Keeps the kid's face pretty

Helmet not for ATV use but great for a bike. Bought it to keep the kid from getting a scar on his face like I have on mine from a scrape along gravel when I was close to his age. So far so good. Helmet fits a 9 year old well and has ability to be adjusted, should last a couple years. Allows use with goggles if necessary. Overall it is light, fits well, and should protect him from the usual bumps and scrapes, not like he is down hill racing on the Red Bull series. Overall couple minor flaws but a great choice for kids who need an extra level of protection. Only real issue is now my daughter wants one in pink which is as of yet, unavailable.

Size matters

This is a great helmet for my 5 year old son and fits my 8 year old daughter too. Some friends who have tried to wear it don’t fit, so be aware of how big your kids’ heads are.

Do your research

not worth the price. And this is not a DOT helmet. So it's not recommended for dirt bikes, or 4 wheelers. I purchased this for my 4 year old who is big for his age and he can just lift it right off. I thought we needed to shop child helmets but found out that's not necessary and ordered an DOT helmet size medium for half the price of this one.

Great, lightweight, safe

We got this for my 5 year old son to wear when riding his razor quad. He loves it and says it's very comfortable. It's very light but seems to be very safe. I consider it a great helmet if you want something safer than a skate helmet but don't need a full on dirt bike full face helmet. Color and build are great also.

Great value, but WRONG SIZE listed in description - should say age 5+, 50-54cm

The age range is listed incorrectly. It is NOT for 8-14 year olds. It is for ages 5+ and is 50-54cm or 19.69-21.26 inches. I think the 8-14 year old size should be 21.5-23 inches (based on other listings), but this is NOT what you get when you order the matte blue helmet. I would have given it one star since the sizing is completely wrong and it doesn't fit... but if you actually want the 50-54cm size then I think this helmet would be a good buy. It's light weight, like the color (matches the picture), and a great price for a full face helmet. If I could get it in the proper size for my kids I would buy it. I don't see any Canadian safety approval on it, but it is CPSC approved in the US as a bicycle helmet. We wanted something with a bit more face protection than a regular helmet for the occasional trail ride or greens/blues at the bike park. If your kid is riding black trails at speed or using this daily you might want to spend more, but I think you would have to spend 2-5x as much for something much better.

Better then I thought!

We had low expectations for this helmet, we read about the minimal padding and odd sizing but my child was adamant this was what he wanted. I honestly almost bought a normal helmet just in case. Well it turned out to be better then we expected! There was ample padding, it fit my 6 year old well, the head circumference info was very helpful and accurate. It doesn't move around on his head, is nice and secure and he loves it!

Ok not great

Fits in small side. Didn’t fit 8 year old so it went to his younger brother- wouldn’t buy again

You get a medium.....despite me asking for a small. Apparently that's all they have. But it's lightweight and it protects our little guys who is a daredevil. No more chipped teeth :) Happy mommy here.
