Works great, folds up for airplane/car travel.
My wife can't walk far at present, and for a family Christmas trip, we needed to have a way for her to join in. The wheelchair worked well for us. She has since had a scheduled medical treatment for her back will allow her to walk again, but if not, the chair works well when she needs to walk further than a walker will allow. The chair folds up well, and we were able to have Southwest airlines gate check it, and have it available immediately after deplaning. Our only real issue is we tried to put a Nova drink holder on the chair (she had previously used the Nova on her walker), and there was no obvious way to install it. My wife is perhaps 250lb, and the chair held fine. We did put a pad on the chair. In case anybody else is a first time buyer, I had rented a full size car at the destination, and the chair did not fit in the trunk with 3 large suitcases. Fortunately we only had the two of us, and I put the chair in the back seat. If we travel again with the chair, I likely will need to rent a SUV or van for larger luggage room. This chair is NOT misdesigned, I just didn't factor it into the luggage space needed when selecting a rental car. I would imagine if the chair were smaller when folded up, it would not support a 300lb weigth.

Durable & Portable
This chair is a backup to my powered chair, so it doesn't get used as regularly as it would otherwise. I did take it with me on my last trip as it is portable and traveled well through the airport setting without a hitch, that it where is excels over my powered chair! It is not the lightest chair out there, nor is it the heaviest one either. The foot rests are easily removable, and on my model, and the feet plates can just flip up if you are able to use your feet. Over all I am very pleased with the quality, craftsmanship, price, and portability of the wheelchair!

This order get me fired from work !!!!!
The product is good. I like it. The USPS send a text message that it tries to deliver at 9:27 am Friday, June 18, did not follow instructions to "leave the package even when nobody home." Great, it is supposed to be delivered between 11:00 am and 3 pm. I need those wheelchairs because of my disability issue. So I went home from work. And can't find a ride back to work so. I GOT FIRED. THANK YOU, AMAZON !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fairly heavy for being "lightweight"
I purchased this wheelchair for my mother-in-law because the footrest can be removed and she does not use them. With the footrest removed, it provides a little more clearance in tight spaces. The wheelchair is fairly heavy - about 35 pounds. We have another Karman wheelchair that is only 18 pounds. She likes the 35 pound wheelchair because it sits higher and is easier to get out of. The brakes are pretty hard to apply because they have a fairly short handle (about 4 inches). I would recommend brake extenders. Longer brake handles take less force to apply the brake.

Great for narrow doorways
When I broke my ankle, days before I was to take my grandkids to Disney World, this chair was a God send! It arrived in just 2 days in perfect condition. Lighter weight and easy to fold, it fit right in our van along side all our luggage. It took a beating during our visit to all four kingdoms, but held up quite well. Even on all the cobblestones areas. It’s lightweight made it easier for me to steer myself than the heavier model I had looked at renting and was far less costly too. It was narrow enough to to fit through the doorways of our hotel rooms, without scrapping through and fit through the narrow doorways of our older home too.

Super Value for a Great Chair
Incredibly well made chair. I did a lot of research before buying this particular chair and it turned out to be a great choice. Relatively light weight (37 pounds), this is built like a tank and rolls over hard surfaces with an absolute minimal effort. The brakes are super tight and there's no danger of tipping..either forward or backward. Seat and back are semi cushioned but I added a stadium gel seat and now its just as comfortable as my living room lounger. I brought a DRIVE 19" aluminum lightweight chair (17 pounds) to haul my wife back and forth to therapy session so this chair is just used around the house but it's a real keeper. The physical therapist who comes to the house has seen a lot of chairs and she thought I'd paid at least $400 bucks for the Karman...not $150.

It is a perfect fit for my wife.
No problems with this wheelchair- lite weight, wheels lock on a hill, easy to maneuver, removable foot rests, and I have had no problems with this wheelchair. My wife is 5'6" and weighs around 160Lbs and I can lift it easily into my Prius trunk. We are both 77yrs old and it is easy to lift and handle. A great purchase :)

Good for light use but doesn't fold very small
We bought this wheelchair for a visit from my mom so she could participate in all walking activities. It was easy to maneuver and comfortable. We had a lot of trouble fitting in the back of our SUV though. It does not fold up enough to put in the back space so we had to put down one of the third seats. It would have gotten 5 stars if it folded more.

Great deal & sturdy.
Price just went up before ordering, but still a lot cheaper than anything local! So far works great for our daughter. She was born with club feet & now she has to have each foot operated on separately. So she needs the elevating leg attachments. This 16" model looks really narrow compared to "double-wide" ones in the hospitals! At only 22" overall width, it fits down our hallway nicely. Very fast delivery! Our only issue was FedEx! I tracked the shipping 1st delivery date they said no one was home...we have a very loud buzzer & both my daughter & wife were home! The next day the kid didn't want to bring it up an elevator to the 2nd floor & ROLLED the box down the hallway, rattling along the way!!! He left it on its side & with a small hole in the side. The rattling was the nut tool (he could have used that!) at the bottom? of the box. 1 of the elevating leg attachments was bent where the latch pivots. I managed to straighten it. Now I just need to find handle extensions for the back.

but well made and has very easy to install footrests
firstly, the wheelchair is black, but well made and has very easy to install footrests. it is also relatively heavy, consider this if strength is an issue for you!
