great item for the investment,
sturdy low profile basket with surprisingly sturdy tubing. I did not install with supplied hardware as I've a different install idea but with regards to the basket, very nice. I suggest painting with a textured "bed liner" paint or por-15 if it'll be in wet weather often..

Parts don't fit
As soon as I opened the generic Amazon box and saw the poorly re-taped original manufacturer's box and heard the clanging of metal pipes, I knew I was in for some major disappointment. This was a returned item as the last customer's shipping label is still on the box. There was hardly any packing material in the box. Metal pipes banging against each other. Paint scratched off because of that. The only thing still intact is the box for the screws. The pieces seem like pretty good quality metal. Strong, but not heavy. The basket comes in 4 sections...front, back and two middle sections. The middle sections went together ok. The front end connected to the 2 middle sections fine. The back section...not so well. I figured, maybe I reversed some pieces, so I flipped things around. Same problem. Maybe I'm not connecting the pieces snugly enough. I realized I can try with the middles sections disconnected. Still no good. It may be a little hard to see in the picture, but the problem is that one of the connection points on one of the middle sections was not welded in proper alignment. It's off by a quarter of an inch. No way to fix this. Just need to return it. I was going to try a replacement of the same item, but shipping says it won't arrive for another 5 weeks. No thanks.

Missing parts but still good value
Assembly was easy. Fairly sturdy overall but missing one mounting bracket and no screws to complete assembly. Used my own screws and changed how I will mount to rack. Will work but I did paint it to prevent rust. If you just want to use it occasionally for extra luggage space this will work.

Bought this to use in the rear cargo area of a Jeep TJ as a gear shelf. Works perfect.
I needed a shelf for an 05 Wrangler TJ to carry my dive gear over my tanks on the floor. This fits perfect. Used a 1x4 140cm wide for a front support. Rear section fits the contours of the wheel wells perfectly. Pictured without the 1x4 support installed but it sits behind the front cross bar. Sits in firm and tight without other modifications. Cost of the rack plus $3 for the board and little effort saved me $175 for a special made shelf. Maybe not as high speed but it works and comes out easily if the seat needs to go back in.

Eh, be careful
Packing was atrocious, honestly looks like it had been though hell and back. The UPS guy looked embarrassed to be delivering it. One part looks to be wrong (my brother has the same rack) the middle connection bits don’t fit together right. It’s a good rack just horrible delivery

Great rack
Product came a bit banged up and some of the zip ties came loose in shipping so it got scratched up a bit but I'm using it for off road use so I don't care. Good build quality and can't beat the price!!!

Waterproof it yourself
Works well for camping. We sealed over the screws with waterproof tape and sprayed the whole thing with bed liner to prevent the screws from getting rusted.
