Completes the look..but not very comfy

So the good news is this thing looks great! The bad news is that for me it retained heat, so much that I had to keep stepping outside to cool off. If you are outdoors this is probably just fine, but for indoor events where you are in a stuffy room....it gets hot as heck. When it arrives...you have to steam it so the wrinkles release. We were on a cruise ship and didnt have a steamer so i hung it in the shower and ran the hot water for about 10 min and then sprayed some wrinkle release on it. That straightened it out so it didnt look like it was vacuum packed. Overall the look was great (could use more dreadlocks but its fine) and definitely an attention getter. For me it just got a little hot! #YMMV Enjoy!

This was a hit among those who saw me in it.

First of all, when you get this, hit it with a steamer and get all the packaging wrinkles out. The hat straightens out to what you would expect it to look like. After that, apparently, it looks great. I took it on the Jack Fork's River in Missouri and everyone wanted to know where I got it. Very satisfied with this purchase!!

Not sure how this fits adults

I would give 5 stars, but it came smelling like it sat at a head shop for 3 decades. The smell of incense was HORRENDOUS! I washed it in Tide and Febreezed it and it still has a slight odor. I bought this for our 4 year old to wear as part of his pirate costume for Halloween. I was a little nervous that it would be waaaaay too big (because the reviews say that adults were wearing it), but our son does have a rather large head ;). It fit perfectly. He looks adorable and was so excited to wear it. Not quite sure how adults are wearing this comfortably, I guess they have tiny heads. :) It is hard to see, but the hair is only attached to the back of the hat, not on the sides. **UPDATE** My son has a big head. He was 4 at the time of this. It fit perfectly!!!!

Nice hat but dreadlocks only attached to the very back of the hat

My son dressed up like a marooned pirate for a party. He really liked the hat and dreadlocks but the hair is just at the back of the hat. It would be nice if the locks would have been at the side of the hat also. However, my son wore a big fake beard and so it covered the side of his face. Otherwise, the hat would have looked weird with the locks only on the back of the head. Hence, the 4 stars instead of the 5.

Exactly as pictured!

We ordered this for my fiancé's pirate Halloween costume and it did the trick perfectly. It actually matched his hair color and tons of people were complimenting on it. It's def worth the money and great if you're looking for a pirate hat with some locs attached.

It made Poppa a Pirate!

When a grandpa is asked to help with his six year old grandson’s Pirate Birthday Party, he must look the part! This hat, with attached dreadlocks and red band completed the look and made a buccaneer of a mild mannered guy! The product arrived quickly and was ready to go. It was comfortable, lightweight and cool enough for a hot Florida day! Great value, great style!

Good quality and great price

I added beads to the hair and draped some of them in front. Looked great, the only down side it that the hair is all at the back, not enough on the sides.
