One of the BEST Defensive heads we’ve ever had

My son just started high school and decided he needed a new D-pole, after he saw how much bigger and stronger the high school boys were. LOL!! ???? If you don't already know, lacrosse equipment isn't cheap, especially if you want to get the higher quality products. The older they get, the more essential it is to buy the best stuff. I did TONS of research to find the best defensive head and this one came up on every single Top 10 list. I also got input from his Defensive coach, who agreed that this is one of the best defensive heads on the market. According to my son, this head is major "Tank" when it comes to defense. It's wider top gives him more leverage on his opponents because it covers more of their hip. It's stiff and dishes out punishment non-stop. He has noticed a big difference, since he's started using it. He said it scoops ground balls better than anything else he's had. He plays tough and this head is taking the beatings. It's also super easy to string, which is a huge plus. This is a strong, powerful head that's perfect for any defenseman. It's definitely the best head you can get and the price here is the BEST you will find. Believe me, I searched EVERYWHERE!!

Broke within 10 minutes of first game

We have used this head multiples times from other vendors. Maybe this was just a defective one or a perfect hit but left without a head after 10 minutes of use.

Head to Head - Tank Lost

Purchased this head last season, 1st scrimmage of this season (High School). Went to block a shot and Heads collided. This is the results. I might purchase the same head as the shooter, nothing happened to his. And it's more than 6 six months from original purchase so no warranty.

Very Good D-ahead, but still warps with use

A quality head with an excellent defensive (large) face shape, but not as durable as one would hope. Warps a bit quicker than I would have anticipated after a half season of use. But much better than the generation of d-heads that proceeded it, but still room for improvement. Would be interested in trying the STX Hammer Omega to see how the new STX plastic holds up.

Maverik "Tank" Head Working well for LSM

The media could not be loaded. My son is now in his second season using the Maverik "Tank" head in his new position as LSM on his high school's Varsity lacrosse team. He's very satisfied with it's ability to pick up the ground balls, cradling and accuracy passing. A few other defenders on the team are now using the same head. The attached video provides some highlights of my son using the new Maverik Tank head this Spring (2017).

Great defensive head.

This is my son's defensive head. Strings easy using a pattern from Stringking/Ustring for a high pocket. Stiff. Throws well. Has a bit of whip, but that is because it is strung with a high pocket. I like this head better than the current model STX Hammer or Warrior Regulator.
