Pretty good rod, but it doesn't allow much room for error in casting
I was able to pick this rod up for a real bargain so buying it was a no brainer, and its made me a better fly caster! PROS - 6 pieces and no issues with ferrules coming loose or not feeling like 1 piece - Great control - Nice looking rod - Guides are really nice NEUTRAL - You cannot be lazy with this rod. It requires some good form and not alot of room for error. It was a little frustrating to me at first having fished cheaper and more expensive rods before with softer action. They seem to allow for a little more laziness than this rod. The funny thing is after using this rod exclusively for a couple of weeks, I was a much better caster with my other rods! CONS - Could be lighter, but its not heavy I would give these rod 5 stars at the price I paid ($70), but even at $200 I think its worth 4 stars.

Before you dump $900 on a big brand fly rod, check out the EAGLE! You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Over fifty years of fly-fishing has put a lot of rods in my hands. I actually started with a Fenwick glass back in the 60's. So I was piqued when I saw these closeout World Class graphites that carried the Fenwick name 60 years later. What grabbed me first was the 3M composite graphite used in their manufacture, composites used by other companies in rods costing nearly a grand, and rods I've owned and fished with high marks. So I had to try one and I'll say, these rods don't disappoint. In fact they delight, not only in their price point at closeout but most importantly in their great actions and eye to detail for a mid-range contender.

Excellent rod. Especially at this price.
I bought the 9' 5wt 6-piece on a whim, not because I needed a rod... instead because of the crazy low price and some personal nostalgia for the brand. I've got quite a few rods, mostly personal builds. This rod stacks up well. It's listed as "fast" action, I suspect most will find it to be more of a med-fast taper. It's performance was quite good, I can't say I noticed and diminished ability between a 6-piece and more traditional 2 or 4's. I've read a few reviews not just on Amazon about them supposedly being brittle, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Most breaks are user error, but thankfully Fenwick has had one of the best warranties for years(yeah yeah not a normal "Fly" brand, but the warranty fee is a whole lot cheaper than the big names). This rod would be a good buy at $200, a deal at $100, but it's been hovering around $60....you really can't go wrong with it.

Nice rod. Price changes a lot.
Exciting buy on the 10' 3wt. Very light, more like a medium action rod. Feels fragile but didn't get to break it yet. Using it for Euro Nymphing but I would say you want it stiffer than this if you want to do it right. Still, you CAN use it for Euro Nymphing successfully you just dont get the quick tip response. I paid 75$ on a weird lucky day. Although for this model the price is changing constantly from 75$ up to 300$. Why? No clue don't care I got it cheap as possible. Handle is nice, little short for big hands, overall it feels a bit cheap but should perform well. Balanced out well with my 5wt Sage light reel.

Very good spey rod !!
This thing is one nice Spey rod it casts a long distance and turns over flies nicely , I love the way this rod loads line and then launches it like a rocket but I do have a Spey rod without the nano tech from 3M that casts farther and loads easier that I built 8 years ago and ran me about $55 to build and the Fenwick retails for close to $500 this is like every fly rod you are just paying for a name build quality is everything , I also noticed when my really cheap fly rods are set up correctly they cast just as far and all distances in between just as well as expensive fly rods , casting has more to do with your learned ability than the fly rod ....Fenwick m does make some very nice fly rods I really enjoy there product a lot ..!!

Great trout rod for stream fishing
I used this rod on a recent trip and know it was a great purchase. It has a light feel, nice colored blank with blue wraps and looks good overall. As a fast action it should be a little stiffer and this one fits that bill. However, that also means with a good line you can roll a nymph rig with a dropper at short distances. My buddy who was also on that trip liked a little softer rod so he preferred the Aetos over the World class. However, for more nymph fishing, and if you’re a better caster, this rod is great for the money! I have the 8ft 4wt model

Great Rod at a great price.
I bought the 7 weight rod for fishing for bass, carp, and surf fishing here in SoCal. Paired it with Cortland 444 WF floating line. Rod loads very easy with minimal line from the tip, and throws very tight loops with a good stroke, and can throw 80' of line with a solid double haul with little effort. Components are pretty much middle of the pack, but very much in line with what you pay for the rod. I compared this rod to my friends Sage One and while it is not nearly as smooth and light, for less than half the price of the Sage when new I am extremely impressed with how well this rod performs. I would confidently recommend this rod for anyone looking for a high performance fast action fly rod. Extremely happy with my purchase.

These rods...
I do not understand why Fenwick decided to discontinue the World Class series.. these rods are fantastic.. everyone that I have handed this rod to has had a smile on their face as they casted it.. yes it is that good. Amazons price on these are all over the place.. but no matter what you pay it is worth every penny.

Just waiting for Spring!
I can only give it four stars at this time based on the look and the quality of finish on this fly rod. I am unable to use it at this time of the year, due to the lakes are frozen and most of the rivers have ice on the banks, so I have not been able to go out and check the action on this rod.
