Nice camping stove
I would have given a 5 star review but I did notice that it is finicky in wind the stove part as well. Other than that it did great just place it somewhere out of the wind. I was able to fix biscuits, cinnamon rolls for breakfast and cornbread for supper while camping. Don’t just go off of the thermometer that’s built into it it seemed to be off a bit. It doesn’t take long to cook cinnamon rolls or biscuits in it. I recommend getting the travel bag for it. That makes it easier for travel.

Perfect biscuits
Unlike most camp ovens , this unit will brown the tops of momma's buttermilk biscuits. Haven't used the top burner's yet . Very nice , very well made

Off grid oven
We live off grid and don't have the power to run a full sized oven. We decided to try this one out because it used propane and no electricity. This little oven works like a charm. We have baked all kinds of things . Cons: Works poorly in winds and extreme cold weather. Size, you are limited and may have to make several smaller batches.

Works as expected
It's a little hard to control oven heat but once you get use to it , heats ok. Gives off quite a bit of heat from side vents so make sure it's not next to anything flammable. Would recommend if used properly

Great concept. Fair application
I bought this so I could use the oven in the summer without having to heat up the whole house. Generally this is OK. The temperature control is not very good. The thermostat reads at the hottest setting almost all the time. I would imagine either the temperature is super hot all the time or the thermostat is not accurate. If you turn the temperature control knob all the way down, it goes to about 350. It takes a bit of time to figure out where the knob needs to be to get the desired temperature since there are no numbers on it like a traditional oven. They should change this. The description says it fits a 13X9 dish. It only fits one of my dishes. I assumed all 13X9's were the same size. I guess I was wrong. Now I need to measure a 13X9 at the store before I buy it. I carry this from my breezeway to the patio each time because there does not seem to be a cover for it so it does not get weathered. I looked at their website and can't find one. If I were them I'd raise the price 10-15$ and include a cover. I have a number of small cylinders and it works well with them. I just don't know how long I can cook on one of them so I bought a hose that allows me to use a 20 lb tank. I don't want to run out of propane in mid cook and not know it. It is a little difficult to know if the oven is lit. I hit the igniter a few times and then open the door and see if there is heat coming out. It does cook well. I have cooked all sorts of things in it and can take it places for holidays if someone needs additional oven space (think Thanksgiving. Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, Green bean casserole, Pies etc. can't fit in one oven at the same time). I think this was a pretty good investment and would be even better if I could get the temperature under control.

Great little oven and wonderful burners on top, for camping or anywhere!
Why I bought it: I needed a small oven that is portable, one to a house porch, then for my Casita camper, which has only burners inside. I do a lot of weekend car/tent camping also, and use little Coleman cannisters for my Buddy heater, and thought I could use them on this oven as well. Its a great thing to be able to fry chicken outside, not stink up the house too. What else did I get: Ordered the handy carry bag, which has well places handles on each side, is black nylon, and well padded to protect the oven This is a good idea, and makes it so easy to transport. Did it work well? I really like the burners. The knobs light the stove and burners, so no matches needed. I tried cooking water for coffee in a teakettle, first, to learn how everything worked, then a batch of eggs on top, and noted how even and fine the flames are, and adjust easily, and cleans up easily too. Much easier not to burn pancakes etc, when one can adjust the flames so finely. Beats many camping stoves any day. The burner lid is a wind screen, and is very effective, and stands up with the little metal clips easily Next, lit the oven, which has a pilot light that comes on the bottom, which the glass door makes it easy to spot, once lit, adjust the temp knob. I made orange sweet rolls from the can for my camping crew, which turned out just right. It looks like smaller roasting pans or brownie pans, will fit better in this unit. This little oven should bake a smallish chicken, or two game hens, etc no problem.. There are two removable wire shelves inside, nice and sturdy. I believe with some adjustment, I can cook a duck in it. The thermometer is outside the oven on the control panel. I have not tested, but if you need exact oven temp control, just get your own for inside the oven. Although it takes several minutes longer to heat up than a indoor oven, once heated seemed to maintain the temperature well. No odors, etc. A handy grabber handle is attached is on the ovens handle, lest one's forgets, and gets burned. With this one, not a chance. If one is needing it, a simple egg timer would help. I kept an eye on it, because I had it under a large screen room to keep it out of the rain. It did not overheat my LL bean screen shelter ceiling however, and I kept it under the center peak, on the picnic table, away from the sides. Would I purchase this again: Yes! All in all, sturdy, good burners and stove, and great for many applications, like brownies, breads, smaller pizzas, cornbreads, muffins, and will greatly increase what I usually can cook while camping, especially on wet days. where fire cooking is too difficult. Happy I bought it. Keep the bubble rap around the regulator, you can re-wrap it so it doesn't bang around inside the stove while travelling.:)

Double Baking Times on Max Heat, Get digital thermometer.
Works great in my camper. I use a range from etrailer for ventilation. No issues with excess heat around it. Walls get warm but not hot enough to worry with 2-3 inches air flow around it. My ONLY complaints are: sometimes the igniter takes several clicks to turn on burner, but really that’s fine. The only other issue, and this an important one for everyone who is buying one of these.... GET A DIGITAL THERMOMETER, BAKE EVERYTHING ON MAX AND KNOW THAT ALL BAKING TIMES ARE DOUBLED. I know this because I’ve been using it full-time everyday or a year. I live in my camper.

It’s nice (see pics for info)
Got all 3 elements going on at the same time. Seem to do ok. Baked some cookies, nachos, fried some food on the burners. Gets pretty hot, the low setting really isn’t all that low from the high. A tip on the 20lb propane tank, you don’t need to buy anything fancy for it. Canadian tire has that hose for $20, it’s a woods brand. It’s just a hose that hooks up to 1lb end to 20lbs propane tank. I got some fittings from a local store to extend the end so it can stick out of my trailer. Fittings can be either brass or black pipe, both will work for propane. Good ventilation is key. Hope this helps.

Top Burners
February 7 2023 So far I made rolls and bread and cooked a ham in the oven work good the oven thermostat read about 50 degrees higher then a thermostat inside the oven when using the top burners if using one at a time they work good but when you use both of them at the same time you are lucky to get medium low heat at best and if you have one on high the second one wont light you have to turn the first down to at least medium to get the second one to light because of this I gave it 3 stars I emailed camp chef about this problem will update when I hear back Camp Chef responded to my email within 24 hours figured it was a bad pressure regulator sent out a replacement part and fixed the problem everything is working good now very happy with the product and customer service

Questionable quality.
We chose the camp chef outdoor camp oven in part because of the very high reviews. We live in a place where access to a post office is difficult, so ordering quality items is important (as returning is often an ordeal). Unfortunately, after unboxing and trying it out on a camping trip this past week, we’re pretty disappointed with the quality. While the stove design looks nice, it arrived with a sizeable chip in the front of the cook top surface. The biggest problem is less aesthetic: the face plate through which all the knobs connect is set so low down on the appliance (even though it looks like the correct positioning) that the posts the knobs are attached to can’t move freely. Because the knob needs to pop out in order to adjust the flame size, this means that it’s really difficult to make the flame smaller. We have to push the knob toward the ground to try to free it from the faceplate to pull it out. Not only is this difficult and annoying, but it’s dangerous because it all has to be done while the flame is high. Finally, the instruction booklet is poorly written for those with limited internet access (or those looking to get this oven for emergency preparedness reasons). It suggests that the flame must be mostly blue but doesn’t suggest any correctives if it isn’t. It explains that to clean the burners you must remove them but doesn’t include any instructions for removal. Overall, we’re disappointed in the quality of the Outdoor Camp Oven.

Just what I have been looking for! My trailer had no oven.
I waited to write the review until I actually tested the product. We just came home from camping and I must say - the camp oven was a huge success. I baked chicken breast the first night - shake n baked the chicken, placed on a little olive oil and covered with tin foil. I generally cook the chicken in a hot oven - so I put on high for 30 mins and it turned out perfect, juicy, tender and crispy. I let the stove cool to 400 and had pre-made some peanut butter/chocolate chip cookie dough at home - before we left and kept in the fridge. Baked those for about 9 mins - you can just smell when they are ready. DELISH! What a hit! I also boiled and then fried perogies on the top burners. Stove is great quality, burners work well. Only issue that I found was that while I am 5'5 putting the stove on the picnic table was a little high for me when using the upper burners. I had brought a standing stool for my camper - so I used that and problem solved. Camp Oven cools quickly so you can put back in storage when done eating. We also bought the cover and it's worth the money to protect and keep your stove nice. All around excellent purchase and would highly recommend! Even my husband who rolled his eyes when he saw it arrive from Amazon (surprise) - changed his mind and loved it while camping.
