Check your clearance between bumper and camper wall.

I have a 4" square bumper on my camper. I tried to use the holes that were designed for the 4" bumper but the predrilled plate wound up hitting the camper. I had to use the holes that were meant for the 4.5" bumper since they were closer to the back of the plate. That left a gap of .5"on the front of the hitch. I put a .5" spacer on the front side of the hitch. See picture. Nice heavy receiver hitch though. It works great for my bike rack. My camper had the spare tire mounted on the bumper, so I removed that. Not designed for towing.

Went on extremely easy. Install was approximately 10 minutes.

Just right for my camper's 4 inch bumper

Using this to carry items (that will slide into receiver) on back bumper of trailer (bike carrier, sewer caddy, etc.). Works great. Not using it for towing.

Works great for hitch storage.

Weld this under front frame of travel trailer to store hitch assembly when not in use. Price is right for this job.

Not impressed!

At first glance this unit appears nice and sturdy and is fairly priced! Upon install, the directions specifically state to torque the nuts on the bolts to 35 ft lbs. I am a professional mechanic I used a calibrated torque wrench to tighten the nuts and before the torque wrench could indicate 35ft lbs had been reached the bumper started to deform along with the included mounting plates and the paint cracked! This is unacceptable and is probably to root cause of some of the other customers who’s reviews indicated bumper failure or fatigue! Once the metal bumper’s square shape is compromised it could surely lead to metal fatigue and deformation which would surely cause failure and a huge, expensive problem! 35ft lbs Camco? Are you sure? I have a 2017 JAYCO, their known to be pretty sturdy but now I have two creases in my bumper before I even attempt use of this product which I’m seriously having second thought about! OBTW I have mounted other things to this bumper and other bumpers in the past on other campers without issue! Buyer beware!

Very easy to install even for mechanically inexperienced people I would say. The only reason I give 4 stars is because it is not a snug fit for my cargo basket. I'm going to have to add a bracket or something to keep the weight being carried in my cargo basket from bouncing and making alot of noise. Using this on the back bumper of my travel trailer to carry portable fencing that goes around my camp area to enclose my dogs. Using the cargo basket keeps me from having to load and unload it each time I get home from camping.

Works well but be careful on installation

It went on easily. We're travelled with it for 2,000 miles for a bike rack. I recommend it, but: 1. The receiver hole is a little too big, so the bike rack bounced. 2. The instructions indicate a torque level on the attachment bolts that begins to actually crush the 4 inch bumper. I had to stop tightening. It stayed put.

Good quality

I've seen a few of these on other trailers, and this one is one of the better ones. It's well built, strong, and an easily missed plus is that it mounts very near to flush with the back of your bumper. If you have very little clearance between your bumper and the back of your trailer, this is the one you need to buy.
