Super quiet

This is my first air compressor that was all my own. I started getting back into crafting and hobbies and after recommendations from other people in the community of my craft I decided to go with this one and I'm so glad I did because I don't have this inside the house in my craft room and it's surprisingly low noise compared to standard compressors. Super easy to operate small and pretty portable if it's easily under a desk or table. Would totally buy more from this brand. It doesn't come with the hose so I bought a purple coil hose and I'm in love lol. Very happy with my little setup.

Super quiet and portable, keeps up with pneumatic nailer

This is an amazing replacement for my old loud porter cable pancake compressor. It is so amazingly quiet, yet can keep up with a reasonable rate of fire from a framing gun. Love it. Should have bought one years ago. You know all those people who brag about how quiet California Air Tools compressors are? They aren't lying.

Nice little compressor

I'm happy with this compressor. It is small, lightweight and reliable. I bought it for small tasks such as bike inflation, car and motorcycle tires. Works perfect. I have a large compressor, but I get tired of unwinding the 50 ft. hose every time I need something small and simple. This little compressor does the job well.

Quiet and effective

We bought this because we blow dust out of the inside of lots of computers for work and canned air is expensive. I wanted a quiet air compressor that would not disturb our neighbors in the office right next door. I had no idea that a silent air compressor was a thing until I searched for and found this product. I looked up what the dB values meant and saw that this item was described as running about as loudly as a refrigerator's compressor when it is running. I would say that is pretty accurate. My other air compressor is pretty loud and scares my 4 year old when it runs. This one is tremendously more quiet. My neighbors don't mind it. My kid isn't scared of it. It works, it doesn't walk as it vibrates, and I am overall very pleased with the purchase. I may be buying another one to replace the much louder air compressor we still have at home.

Work horse!

Outstandingly Happy with this compressor!

This product astounded me! They are promoted as a quiet compressor but I was not expecting how understated their claim was. You can talk at normal volume over this when it is running. At $129 it is a purchase I feel very good about. This is the 5th air compressor I have purchased but it is my first from California Air Tools and I am really impressed. My old, comparably small compressor stopped working and now I am glad it did! When my old compressor kicked in you just couldn't wait for it to stop. I am sure my neighbors could hear it. This thing is so unbelievably quiet! If its durability lives up to my initial impression I could give no better advice than if you are looking for a small compressor you should not be disappointed with this nice little unit! Any company that puts together such a nice product and can deliver it to your door for such a price is really a great find in today's market.

Amazingly quiet and quick pressure build.

Amazingly quiet. (Make sure you put the muffler air filter on... pretty quiet even without it, but what a difference when it is installed). Pretty small though I wish the handle is removable for even lower profile, and the pressure valve is the pull-to-adjust, push-to-lock type. Very satisfy right from the start, the next is it’s longevity. :) Quickly fill from 0-125psi, then stops. Leaks air gradually and then hold steady at 8KG/cm2 for 12min and counting. Looking good I’d say. I’d give full stars if the unit is made same dimension as the smallest measure for people with limited storage space. (Shrink the handle/protection cage further) Afterthoughts: (few uses after) Still great and quiet unit. Perfect for condo users. But if space is not a concern, get a bigger tank unit. I use it as air blower to clean dust off equipment and it lasts only briefly on continuous blowing. (But footprint is a concern for me so I have to adjust). I left 90psi in the tank over night intentionally and after 10 hours it is still the same. Very satisfied.

This thing is quiet.

I bought this because many of the reviews said it was quiet. They were not kidding. You can plug it in, turn it on and have a conversation in the same room. You have to raise your voices a bit, but you certainly don’t need to shout. One review said to make sure you install the “muffler”. It is just a small piece of plastic tubing you stick on the inlet filter. As quiet as this thing is without that, it gets quieter with that small tubing installed. If you hate loud compressors and don’t need a ton of compressed air, buy one of these. You will not regret it.

Quiet with a FAST recovery time!

I mostly bought this compressor for cleaning my pellet stoves and computers(with pressure dialed down), as the compressed air dusters run out of pressure really fast and are expensive. So I ordered an air kit to go with the compressor. The compressor works great and fills up very quickly. It is surprisingly quiet, not like those pancake compressors which sound like a jackhammer. I was a little worried about the quick connect air hose attachment on the compressor-the release ring looked like it was stuck. I thought I might have to replace it, but as soon as I plugged in a male quick connect fitting, it popped securely in place. This compressor is very well designed with quality craftmanship. The compressor has no where near the power of my Campbell Hausfeld 5HP 26 Gallon compressor, but it will come in handy for cleaning, and is definitely more portable than my big brute, lol! I love this thing!

Very, very quiet.

It's extremely quiet, just be aware that at this tank size, it will be turning on fairly frequently to refill the tank. I bought it to power a tool-changer on a CNC machine and it works great for this purpose. For use with airbrushing, I'd still look at the equivalent power model with a larger tank size. Now if you are airbrushing canvases or small models, the overall flow rate is probably fine. If you are applying lacquer or paint to larger objects, you will probably be disappointed that you have to pause every once in a while for the tank to refill.
