Frequently unusable
These are great labels when they work. Overpriced for sure, but they work well. The only problem is they have a computer chip on them (I'm assuming to prevent aftermarket labels being used in their label maker, which is pretty sleazy if you ask me). The labeler frequently won't recognize the chip and the whole roll is unusable. Out of the past 15 or so rolls I've used, I've lost 3 brand new rolls to the trashcan because the labeler wouldn't recognize them. You can try pulling a chip off another tape which will sometimes work for a few labels but it quickly fails. Absolutely ridiculous. Assume 20 percent of the rolls you buy will go straight in the trash can.

Great value on these labels. We use them in an industrial setting and love them. Much cheaper on Amazon that anywhere locally.

Overpriced labels for a one trick pony
Had I looked at the operating cost of the Brady I would have never purchased it. But I will say the nylon tape sure does wrap nicely. But overall the BMP 21 PLUS really leaves you wanting more features. It's a one trick pony so don't buy it for anything other than wire marking. You won't be able to print more than a few characters per label even with 6pt font size no matter which layout you choose. Extremely limited functionality and archaic menu system will have you frustrated as you henpeck your shorthand over and over again. To give an example; there isn't a "clear all characters" so you have to hit backspace quite a lot. "Hold it down" you might think, because that's how most old tech gets things done a little faster. But oh, no, you have to press the backspace button for each and every character you ever type into the thing. Powering off doesn't help since it holds memory. Speaking of power. This thing takes a whopping 8 AA batteries. But don't waste your ProCells on it because it eats batteries when off. I slip a piece of paper in the contacts when not in use now, but if I forget to and pick it up to use it a few weeks later, it's dead... 8 brand new batteries. Dead. Take them out when not in use. What am I saying, don't even buy it, it shows support for such a disenchanting product. Brady needs to do a major upgrade. Ought to use some of the overpriced-label profit for development. While I'm a little passionate about it I might as well give a couple last thoughts to the engineers: This really should come with a neodymium magnet to slap it against the breaker panel where you'll likely use it most frequently. Pennies for such a practical feature. Maybe that's asking too much, but let's be fair- you didn't put a belt clip on it? It's a field instrument. C'mon, give me something I can work with.

missing chips
I had ordered 8 Brady M21-750-499 and two in the order are missing the chips on the cases that make them work. I was able to pull off a chip off of the used one and hopefully it will continue to work to finish the job. Of course, I didn't find this out until after the 30 day return policy. With my next order, I will be sure to look them over when they arrive. I think you should too! I have used 100s of these, and this has never happened.

Excellent results
I tried one of the "compatible" brands. Label tape would not feed. Worthless. Went back to OEM tape. Works perfectly. Every time. Worth the extra money.

Very useful labels for most tasks - very good for wrap around cable labels.
Believe this is the standard label tape that comes with their smaller labellers but works for almost all uses. Primarily used for labelling cables - makes high quality labels that appear durable.

The only label maker tape for wire marking
As the title says, this is the best for marking wires, panels, breakers, etc. It's tough, conforms well, and super sticky. My only gripe is that the backing does peel off more easily. It's a fight with short nails!

Never received the product and wont allow me to buy any more. Suggest buying from Brady direct which is more reliable. Waste of time.
