Cute and Functional

It fits perfectly under my sink, I could fit a second one behind it if I end up needing more space for recycling. I also bought a smaller one for my compost. I added vinyl labels to both of them from vinyl friend. The handle makes it easy to dump directly into my recycling/compost. I like that it came with a couple of garbage bags though so I can use it as a reusable liner.

12L/3.2Gal Can + Simple Human liners as a litter bucket

This was one of the few litter pail options I could find that is short enough to fit inside our litter box cabinet (it looks like a long end table but has a cat hole in one side). Due to the comments here about how expensive and difficult the liners are to buy I also purchased a set of the C 10-12L Simple Human trash can liners to go with the 12L can. The liners are a tad small for the bin but can be used - a little dexterity is required so I wouldn't recommend using the Simple Human liners with this if you have serious arthritis or if you want kids to empty the pail. I'm using crystal litter which dries out the turds and does not clump. I'm confident the liner will hold up for that. If you're planning to fill this with heavier content such as composting or clumping litter I'm not sure if the Simple Human liner will hold up or end up slipping in. I'll update this after a couple months as I see how it holds up to the contents and how the smell is.

Love these, bought a second.

I got one 12L / 3.2 gallon as a bigger compost bin because I got sick of running out of space in the 1.5 gallon and having to either store it outside of the bin (smelly) or drive to the city compost more than once a week. It's installed under our sink and is more than enough space to hold a week's worth of compost. Easy to clean and otherwise deal with. Liked it so much I got another one in a different color for our glass recycling, which is successfully installed in the stairway down to the basement. Generally recommend, both of them have made the whole compost/glass recycle process easier, cleaner, and less smelly.

Good little compost bin

I got the smallest model for a countertop compost bin. I use the green bags in it so I don't have to wash it as often. I'm pretty happy with it. The features I like are that the lid goes over the bag so it holds it in place, the lid stays up when you open it to put items in, and it's easy to wash. I do wish it was a little heavier as it knocks over easily, and it says you can't put it in the dishwasher.

Bought 3 in different sizes

I purchased 3 of these. Two of the larger 3 gallon and one smaller. I do not use them for intended purpose of kitchen and compost. I have a yellow lab and needed a place outside for dog waste. I found it intriguing that I could hang this. I put it furtherest from the house on our wooden fence behind the garage. Perfect!! Bought the second two because that same dog is smart and has figured out how to open every garbage can lid. I don’t have space under bathroom vanity to store the garbage so was excited that I could hang these on the wall out of reach of the nosy dog! They work perfect for everything I need them for. I take the outside garbage out once a week on garbage day. Sure it stinks, but it would stink in any garbage can…it’s dog ****! Planning to order one more to hang by dryer for the lint. Love the fact I can hang them!!

Perfect fit on counter

I like that is is tall & thin so it doesn't take up much room on my counter. Our county just started organic recycling so I am using it for our kitchen waste. It is working very well! Lid stays up when opened, which I like so I don't have to keep opening if I am doing a bunch of stuff.

Works great looks modern and sharp

It's really simple little box. It's got to live that hinges up and down for opening. The lid is attached to a frame which attaches to the bucket. Purpose of my buying it is to just put my coffee grounds in. I'm a big coffee drinker.I put my coffee beans and my espresso beans one done in it. It's about a month's worth of I'm guessing of used coffee grounds. When it gets full I just tap it out into the yard. I hate having coffee grounds in my garbage can. I don't use plastic bags It's just bad for the environment. Coffee grounds make a mess in your garbage can. But anyways for what I'm using it I would recommend it. It's small enough to keep on your countertop looks nice modern and clean.

Love the removable ring/lid.

The feature I like the most is the removable ring with the lid. It holds the edge of the compostable bag so it doesn't slip down into the can.

Very Nice

(3 L. Black) My house is open plan and the kitchen area is open to the living room. This little container is discreet and doesn't scream "organic bin". I would have purchased the 6 L size if it was the same shape as the 3 L bin but I don't want the big footprint of the square bin in my limited space. I just empty it a bit more often. If company comes,there is just enough room to position the liner so it doesn't show outside the bin. The black blends in, looks nice, and keeps the smell in.

Perfect for small kitchens

This small bin fits my produce bags and doesn’t take too much space. I like that it doesn’t have a carbon filter on top so that it doesn’t get gross looking. It’s a plastic top so it’s super easy to clean. On the back, there’s a horizontal lip to hook on to walls if you get the wall hangers. Overall it’s a great buy and great for minimalists.

Excellent compost caddy!

We use the 12L bin as a compost caddy, i.e. to temporarily store compostable kitchen waste before taking out to the garden. We found the usual size of compost caddy a bit on the small size as we eat a lot of fruit and veg and also make fresh juices. We were worried that the 12L bin might be a little on the large size for this but you don't HAVE to fill it right to the top and even if you do it's not too heavy and the handle is more than up to the task of carrying it out. Worries unfounded, the size is perfect. The bin is made of a quality plastic with a matt/satin finish and looks very nice in the pastel blue colour. The lid easily lilfts completely off and the Brabantia 12L liners fit perfectly inside (a few of these are included with the bin). There is an option to mount it on the wall with the included bracket. This looks very sturdy and functional, but I can't comment fully as we had nowhere suitable to mount it so it just sits on the floor where the last caddy once sat. In short, very happy with the purchase and glad we chose Brabantia.
