Better vibration dampener
I used this product to replace the Limb Saver string leeches on a new bow. The leeches split down the middle due to how they are used. These string dampeners slide over the end of the string (you may need a bow press) when installed and in my opinion are far better than anything inserted inside the bow string. They have reduced the vibration and thus the noise produced when firing the bow. No complaints and expect them to last over the couple of years until the bow string needs to be replaced.

Don't last long
I didn't notice any depreciation in the noise level with these. I had them set at L6 and L10. Didn't last long either, after about 500 or so shots top one broke. I wouldn't recommend or purchase again.

Quiets My Recurve
I installed two of these (one on top and one on bottom) on my 40# Samick Sage and the noise reduction was immediately noticeable. I frequent my local range about three times a week and this morning two guys were watching and they commented how quiet my bow was. I was thinking to myself, "you should have heard it two days ago!" Installation was easy! First de-string the bow. Get a small cotter pin from your local hardware store. I used one about 1.5" long and 1/6" to 1/8" at its largest diameter. Open the cotter pin enough to pull the eye of the bow string into the eye of the cotter pin then tighten the cotter pin and thread it through the tiny hole of the Bow Jack. When you have enough of the cotter pin exposed through the Bow Jack simply grab a pair of pliers and while gripping the cotter pin gently push the Bow Jack over the bow string until you get it to the desired location of the bow string. Perform these steps on both ends of the bow string and your done. I shot about 50 arrows today over a 3 hour peroid and the Bow Jacks didn't move and inch. I'm very happy with this purchase and the end results.

These silencers are DEADLY QUIET and they increase your bow speed. I had 4 beaver balls on my recurve before putting them on and my bow was still too loud for me. With these silencers the bow is so quiet to the point where I all hear is the feathers on the arrow ripping through the air downrange. There is literally almost no noise from my bow now. Not only that but another thing that I noticed is that they increased the speed of my bow dramatically. With the beaver balls I lost a lot of speed with these I actually gained a good amount of speed to the point where now my arrows are showing up as very weak even with 4" feathers. The final benefit is that with these you are not supporting the trapping industry by buying fur. Oh, did I mention how easy they are to put on and adjust? They slip on your string and you can tune your silencers by sliding them up and down the string. It doesn't get any easier than that and it doesn't get any better than these.

WOW! fantastic product!
I'm a recreational archer, and have a goal of competing in local indoor tournaments. After installing a AAE Free Flite arrow rest on my Martin Panter recurve, the arrow rest arm rattles after the shot. and after installing a 60x 8125g bow string it got worse! I didn't want beaver balls or anything like that. I researched Bowjax and decided to give them a try. I installed the Bowjax Slimjax limb dampeners first and that helped in limiting the amount of vibration to the arrow rest. I then installed the Bowjax Ultra II string dampeners. WOW! just using 2 of the dampeners (comes with 4 dampeners) they completely eliminated the arrow rest rattle and noise from the new bow string. They are super easy to install on the bow string and can be adjusted up or down the string to find where they work best. So, if your looking to eliminate noise or vibration from your bow, I would highly recommend the BowJax string dampeners and limb dampeners.

Works great, while it lasts
So, first and foremost, these work great. I didn’t know how great necessarily until one went flying off after letting loose about 200 arrows. Not the easiest to put in, though I found a paper clip was very effective. I was disappointed on how short of time it took for this guy to fly off, however, I’ve been doing a ton of practice. I will buy these again, and again, I didn’t realize how effective they were until one went flying off and and made me react to “what heck was that noise” which was just ended up being the normal vibration of the string.
