Bottlesen Hammerheads are an Advantage

The GT is one of Bottlesen's best. It's an excellent dart that is well balanced. I remember when these first came out in the 1980's. They took the dart scene by storm then, and still is today. Now Bottlesen has added their sharkskin coating to these which is like a sandpaper grip type stuff. It works pretty good and keeps your fingers from slipping. Keep in mind that the GT Darts require a special shaft that is only made by Bottlesen. A regular shaft WILL NOT FIT these darts

Avoid these "shark skin" grips and stick with the smooth barrels

For whatever reason, the "shark skin" version of these feel and throw very strangely. Very inconsistent/ unforgiving darts. I got the "smooth barrel and it's like night and day difference. There's a reason these are on sale!

My former reviews of these darts have been censured.

These darts are severely off balance. If you spin them by their shafts in a drill press, the points twirl as if they were made to be egg beaters. The points do not point straight in other words. The shafts are made to fit these darts only. No other dart shaft will fit these darts. I paid $160.00 for a set of these about three years ago. I have found that, if you bend the points just past 90 degrees, with a little curve to them, they make excellent hooks with which you can snag Coho salmon. I used them for this purpose trying to snag some Coho salmon in the Detroit river. I snagged lots of things, but not any fish. Eventually I lost all three hooks (darts), and they now reside in their watery grave, somewhere along the slimy bottom of that notoriously filthy river. That was the first target I was able to hit with these darts.

Garbage

I've thrown darts for years and for Christmas, wanted to finally treat myself to a decent set. Wasted over a hundred and forty bucks on what I thought was a quality Bottelsen product. All the other products listed by this brand had great reviews so I thought this set would follow suit. Shipping handled by Amazon. They arrived on time and intact, however, flights don't fit and the shafts broke off when I tried to replace them. Amazon accepts returns in 30 days and I missed the window by exactly 4 days so don't order this junk unless you want to take your chances.
