Have been acquiring oversized magazines for the past two months, and immediately noticed a problem with storing the things. Many didn't come in bags, or came several-to-a-bag, bags were of an inappropriate size, or the bag simply had seen better days. Magazine Binders looked cool, but unfortunately were impractical, heavy, inconvenient, and expensive. Having 36 oversized A4s to deal with, needed something 9 1/8"+ in width, which meant buying oversized and taping down the excess. Saw several varieties, but many were unable to answer two questions: Is it Acid Free? What is the thickness? If even the seller didn't know, then it was better to look elsewhere, which led to finding these Life Bags. Read that this Item originally was for larger-sized bags, but in Early 2021 the current bags are 14 1/4" x 11 1/8" (2 mil thick) with a 1 1/4" flap. Tried to measure the inside as would guess something is lost at the edges, and best guess would be 14 1/8" by 10 15/16" and the 1 1/4" flap. Large enough with room to spare using clear tape to reduce the width. Since these bags aren't self-sealing, opted to trying folding/closing the flap with (as an experiment) Painter's Tape. Even after using/replacing over 40 bags bags there are plenty left, and if more are needed it's point-and-click for another set of bags to arrive. BONUS: Have several 7 1/4" x 9 1/4" x 3/4" books that could use a little protection, and these oversized bags are just as useful - only need to tape off the excess and secure the flap. If the Painter's Tape doesn't work with the flap, will try Electrical Tape. Best might be the double-sided tape used for wrapping gifts, but have only a limited supply of the Wonder Tape. Bags themselves appear to be excellent. Did not push my luck, but they seemed to retain their shape despite folding and were no issues sliding magazines/books in-and-out of the bags. Only minor annoyances were taping off the excess and folding down the flaps, but after the first ten magazines it became routine. Caution when handling? The 100 bags come in their own clear storage bag. Mine was split (or previously cut) on two sides, so when I was about to open the top with scissors, the bags spilled onto the floor. Unsure if the outer bag is prone to splitting, but better to be forewarned than having to collect the slippery bags off the floor. Fortunately one of the preexisting magazine bags was Huge, so used that as a replacement. Shipping Question? (see picture): This item could NOT be shipped to an Amazon Locker as when Laid Flat it is Too Big To Fit. However, this item arrived in a white resealable Amazon shipping bag folded-over-on-itself (see picture). When it is like this, several of these could easily fit in an Amazon Locker. But even if they can't be shipped to an Amazon Locker, would definitely order again! ?? Backing Boards ??: From a brief look around, those appear to be Very Expensive, so will not be purchasing Boards at this time. Will instead try placing the bags inside cardboard sleeves or legal-sized folders.
