Though I just received this bag, I just want to point out an important feature that is not well-explained in the product description. The handles are very well padded! All the black parts of the bag are made of a (cotton, I assume) canvas type material, including the tubular handles. The handles are about a half inch in diameter (on cross section) and are filled with something soft enough to provide nice cushioning on the hands or shoulder, yet firm enough to give the handles a distinctly round almost rigid appearance (i.e. they do not look puffy). These are simply perfect handles for an oblong bag. Overall, this bag is about as ergonomic as a bag shaped for a rolled-up mat can be. I have an extra long and fairly thick mat,Aurorae Classic Yoga Mats - Ultra Thick, Extra Long with Rising Moon Focal point Icon, Illuminating Colors, Eco Safe, Free from Phthalates and Latex which is 72" x 24" x 1/4", and a mat towel,Yogitoes Skidless Premium Mat-Size Yoga Towel , each rolled separately, in it right now and anticipate plenty of room for my accessories. I have added in a pair ofZone Training Yoga Block , which are 9" x 5 5/8" x 3 7/8" each without struggling or stretching the bag to zip it up. I expect to have enough room left to accommodate my favorite water bottle,Takeya Modern Glass Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve, Ice Blue, 18-Ounce , but may have to eliminate something on days when I need all of that and mydod fitness Knee Donuts . I will update when I try to get that last accessory in. While it may seem like I'm advertising for all of these products, I'm simply trying to illustrate the actual capacity of this bag, if you don't mind a rather full appearance to it. Also, even with all that gear in it, it's not hard to carry since it's well-balanced and has the padded straps (and I'm only 5'1" on a good hair day, BMI 18.5). Other nice features include a lining that looks to be water resistant, an interior zippered pocket for money, ID, or valuables, magnetic snap closures on the two external pockets (one on the end, and one along the front of the bag), and solid metal rings at each of the attachment points for the handles (4 total). The pink trim feels to me like a sueded microfiber material, which would lend well to stain and general grime removal (if I'm right about its content). This bag is definitely better than I anticipated, mostly due to the surprisingly padded handles, nicely balanced carry, and large capacity. I also like the urban design that isn't such an uber-yoga look. Not to say that there's anything wrong with yoga fashion - but I like that this bag blends with whatever I'm wearing, including professional dress.
