Wish the outside pockets locked

This is my second Travelon bag. I liked it because the first one was cloth and this one was waterproof. The main compartment zips and locks, but I wished the two side pockets locked, also. Those two side pockets are most convenient for frequently used items, but I don't use them for important things since they don't lock. The bag is roomy enough for a large sunglass case, a collapsible grocery bag, tissue, and a small makeup bag. I use it often and would have given it 5 stars in all categories, but I'd like those outer pockets to have more security.

Go-to purse

This is my second Travelon purse. I loved the first one and it held up several years. However, our little dog literally chewed the strap off. Long story but I guess the security features are for thieves and not little dogs. Lol So I needed a new purse fast and didn’t hesitate to buy another Travelon. I opted for this new style in teal. The color is so rich and goes with everything. Easy to clean. All the compartments and pockets you need are there but the main reason I go back to these bags is how light they are. I have an expensive Dooney/Burke leather hobo that I use on rare occasions when I don’t need to carry many items because the bag alone is heavy and it feels like I’m toting a heavy garment bag around. This bag is ideal for everyday running around. It’s the perfect size for me. Not too large and baggy, but roomy enough to hold everything I need it to.

Fantastic Product

I purchased this bag because we’re traveling through Europe for several weeks and I read that pickpockets are very prevalent especially in some areas of Italy and Greece. The bag is a really great size and weight. I don’t worry about someone getting access to the larger interior where I keep my more important items because the zipper has a hook/latch that requires effort to open. The strap has cables woven through it and the body of the bag is slash proof. You may be thinking this is overkill but trust me, do your research, these are all things you’ll need as protection against a slick pickpocket. I carry the bag crossbody which allows me to be hands free. It gives me the peace of mind I need when we’re traveling on a crowded metro. This is one of if not the best thing I purchased for our trip!

Ok but a couple issues…

I liked the pockets and the size of this purse, as well as the anti theft features. However, a couple issues to be aware of. The locking features of the zippers pulls also snags on just about everything. The strap pills horribly after just a few uses. Otherwise, the purse does what it is advertised for.

Use for a 3 month trip and it was a perfect purse

Really like the size of this purse for traveling and I really like the lock when I was going through train stations and high pick pocket areas. After using it daily for 6 months it is starting to look a little warn, but I've been really beating it up daily. Would purchase again.

This is a wonderful purse

This purse is almost the perfect travel purse. I don’t need to carry very much each day. I packed this in my rolling carry on and then when I got to Europe I pulled it out for my daily use. The only thing that would make it better would be a water bottle pouch on the exterior. It fits a water bottle sideways in the interior but that got to be a little frustrating. Overall, though, the size was perfect.

An excellent bag for travel

I took this bag on a three week trip. The looking system is easy to use and gives a level of security. I kept my passport and foreign currency in the interior zipper compartment. The handle is adjustable and sturdy. The exterior was water repellent in the rain. I did not carry a large wallet, but I had room for a smaller wallet, credit card case, sun glasses, passport cover, phone and at times an iPad mini. An exterior snapped pocket on the back is great for papers, tickets or pamphlets. All this and the bag is light to carry. It doesn’t have RFD blocking, but I just used card carriers and a passport sleeve that did. Good value for the money

Strap is easy to adjust and the zippers open and close easily. I like that they clip together to secure my things.

Strap gets fuzzy

I like the security of Travelon purses and own several. This this purse is the perfect size for ever day wear for me as it is roomy and light. However, as I used it, the strap started to look worn and fuzzy, as if it was shedding because it’s made of some kind of cotton. I would like to replace the strap but (a) one side is sewn onto the purse, however, I could unpick the stitches, and (b) I cannot find a replaceable antitheft strap to purchase.
