Air Travel Tested and Approved
I needed a last minute ski bag that would not be terribly expensive. I went back and forth between needing a bag with wheels or one of these 'hand-carry' styles. I ultimately decided on this bag since I did not want to move like a semi-truck through the airport with a long bag trailing behind, but also I have a 4-wheel spinner luggage and this bag can sit on top and maneuver more easily! My skis are 177 cm and barely squeaked by in terms of fit. I finished up a great ski trip and this bag protected my skis and poles from Albuquerque to Dallas. I packed my coat, pants, and thermals inside this bag to better protect the bindings and the tips. Note that the bag only has padding in the center, but not at the far ends. I wish there was more robust padding, especially in the tips of the bag. I also wish there was an ID slot to insert my name and contact info in case these ever get lost. Overall, great bag for the price and can easily go from house to plane to mountains and back.

This is a great travel ski bag for the price
This ski bag is BIG. I bought it for the 2018 ski season. I have taken it on two ski trips out west (four airplane rides). The bag and more importantly my skis have remained unscathed during those travels. The shoulder straps are long enough to put it on your shoulder. I own a pair of 179cm skis. They fit snugly in this bag, with a tiny bit of extra room at the ends. As other reviews point out, only the middle of the bag is padded. I made sure to wrap the tips and ends of the skis with a towel for additional padding. I was also able to fit other ski gear in this bag along side my skis and poles. Such as ski pants, fleece, leggings, cold weather tops, hats, and a glass bottle (also wrapped in a towel). The total weight was around 30lbs. This is a great travel ski bag for the price. Be prepared for jealousy when you see others with rolling hard case.

Would recommend
This bag is a good value. Its a heavy enough cordura that I'm comfortable using it to fly with. The stitching could be just a little more reinforced in certain ares, that's why I didn't give it 5 stars, because I think in a couple trips it will start to have problems, but it has held up so far. It has padding around the ski binding area. So far, its held up well. I would recommend this for flying. The best thing about it is how light weight it is. I purchased a very expensive, heavy duty bag and it weighs just under 10 lbs, which means less equipment can go in. Also, airlines destroy baggage. The nice bag is probably going to have an effective life as long as this less expensive bag because airlines are so hard on bags.

Great ski bag for 1pair of skis and poles.
Got this ski bag because my old ski bag zipper finally fell apart. I had to choose and get delivery in 3 days as I was leaving for Jackson Hole. I read all the reviews for different bags and picked this one. It was a great decision. Amazon - always wonderful - delivered in 2 days. The bag was exactly as advertised. It fits a pair of skis and poles nicely. I got the 185cm bag and my 173 skis fit easily. As others mentioned would not go above 178 or 180 though. It looks great and secured nicely with cinches in both ends. Came thru it’s first air baggage trip with flying colors. Fully lined; air holes for releasing moisture; good carry straps.

A good entry level bag
This nag has done one long distance trip (NYC->Utah)and plenty of local car trips. All in all, it's a good starter bag for the price point. There is not a ton of padding within the bag but I resolved this by wrapping a towel around the most essential part like the bindings of the skis. For now it's a bag that does the job until I feel more comfortable upgrading it.

Love the color ....
Needed a boot & ski bag, I really liked this combo bag (purchased the boot bag also) and loved the color, the bag can fit more than one pair of skis in it, there is plenty of room. It is easy to carry and padded in the middle, though when I fly will have to pad the tips & ends of skis. I should easily get a couple of seasons our of the bag

Perfect and Simple ski bag to travel with
Easily fits a pair of skis, poles, jacket, pants, gloves and more! You can fit a helmet, but wouldn't recommend if flying as it might get banged around. I used for a trip to Colorado and had several flight to get there...everything came out in perfect condition. I did rap the bag with an extra tie down as I don't trust baggage handlers. You will NOT be able to fit ski boots. Padding is minimal, but does exist...for flights I would suggest wrapping bindings with something (like jacket or ski pants). Could possibly fit two pairs of skis, but not much else then. Only thing that would be helpful is roller wheels, but for the $$$...can't have everything!

NO PADDING & skis barely fit
This is a very very thin bag with no padding. They say the middle is 'padded' but it really wouldn't do anything if the skis got knocked around. I made sure to wrap my skis with towels and clothes to be safe. I used the bag for air travel but would not recommend it unless you plan on wrapping your skis with something, like I did, to give it some padding. My skis are 182cm and they barely fit into the bag. With the added towels for protection, because there is no padding, it made the fit even tighter. But it still worked. Gave it a 3 rating just to be nice.

disappointing
Did lots of research before ordering this item. Sounded like it was truly the best bang for the buck... but it's anything but. Almost no padding, not comfortable to carry, just a flimsy bag. Would never trust this for airline transit!!!! Went to MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-Op where they have a bag with ther "MEC" brand for $70 ($5 less) that is superior in every way - lots of padding, better quality material and workmanship, much more comfortable to carry. Will be returning the High Sierra Bag.
