On a bandsaw
I wanted to be able to reconfigure my garage as needed so fitting casters to the bandsaw was part of the plan. The caster baseplate holes are threaded so aligning the existing saw base corner holes to the baseplate was tricky. My first cut for the plywood was too big but I drilled the corner holes and test fitted the bolts and made adjustment cuts. Other reviews have commented on how the paint coating was thick and clogged the baseplate threads and this is very true so I put the baseplates in a vise and used a power drill to clear out the threads with one of the bolts after carefully starting the bolts by hand to avoid cross threading but I’m not complaining as I would rather have this to deal with than a thin protective coating. I coated the parts with paste wax for good measure. The bolts protruded through the bottom from 1/4” to 1/2” inch even though I used washers on both sides. Because the baseplate is threaded I could have cut them off even with the baseplates but used nuts so I wasn’t putting stress on just the baseplate threads. Then I cut the bolts even with the nuts and belt sanded them smooth to try to prevent them from hanging up on anything as the clearance to the floor was tight. Because the bandsaw is tall and top heavy my biggest concern was stability. I wanted to be able to still use a hand truck on the back frame side of the saw so I couldn’t position the casters on that side. That dictated my positioning. After testing the fixed legs with the locking casters having full clearance I think it is fairly stable for light work but for any work that could cause the saw to shift I think the saw needs additional support or something like outrigger weights. The casters do hang up on cement expansion joints especially if pushing but it is easier pulling. This might be less of a problem if the casters were larger but that would increase the saw’s center of gravity so the smaller casters are probably the better compromise for this application. I just installed this so can’t comment on long term use but it seems like a good assembly.

Pretty good except
I’ve been eyeballing one of these for a while for my table saw but got busy doing other things in the shop. Finally got around to ordering one and it was here quickly and packaged very nicely. Instructions were decent but some of the pictures are of an older design or zoomed too far out but you get the idea pretty quick. My only gripe is that I had to tap most of the holes and run one of the rubber feet screws through a die for it to work. This is a bunch of extra work and you need a metric tap/die set. It works exactly as described but for a premium brand I would hope they can improve their quality control and I’ll keep buying them.

Some personal mods made to fine tune.
I found these supports sturdy and easy to install. The instructions for final attachment to the base could use some clarification. I believe that other reviewers who gave very low ratings claiming the parts don't fit may be trying to make the top mounting plates fit fully into the corners of the lower brackets. I don't think this was the designer's intent. If one aligns the holes in the plates and the brackets, the parts fit fine without grinding. I added a few washers to the axles reduce some sideways play for the non-steering wheels and lifting levers. Probably did not increase utility in a practical sense, but the additions satisfy my perfectionist leanings. This base is a vast improvement for my Craftsman 10" table saw, which has rather thin legs that twist during movement, making control difficult. Now it moves smoothly and is very stable during use. I would purchase again.

great for hard consistantly flat surface
I have 4 of these and they work great as long as I don't try to roll over my rubber floor mats. I have to pick up sections of the mats to make a path for the tools. if I had a larger area where I could roll them between the mats it would be great but if I had that much space I wouldn't need mobile bases :) the other complaint I have is that only 2 casters swivel. I know this is typical design for this kind of base but maneuverability suffers because of it. I also realize having 4 swivel casters presents its own challenges but in my shop it would work better.

Just a great solution.
This kit is really awesome. I have four of them on my workshop tools and will likely buy more to outfit other tools. You make the base custom sized out of a piece of 3/4 plywood. It is never too big or too small and this kind of base is way more sturdy that the universal bases made with thin metal rails.

Quality and heavy duty
I already use two previously purchased PM2500 rolling bases and they have worked great. I just purchased 3 of these models for other machines and I had none of the issues mentioned in prior reviews. All of the pieces fit together properly. The screw holes in the bottom plates appeared to have been threaded after they were painted/ powder coated, so I had no issues with inserting bolts. I used 3/4” plywood, so the short screws were the proper length. The footpad brackets were properly welded and support my machines very well, when lowered and prevent them from moving around. Stepping on the lift lever effortlessly raises the machine adequately to easily roll around. I think the quality of the fit and finish is excellent. The only issue I had was rushing assembly and installing several top plates upside down. That results in the countersink is on the incorrect side, so I had to redo. I also didn’t orient the roller plates on the long side of my bandsaw base, so had to redo that as well. There are lots of pieces, but take your time and follow the directions and you’ll have no problems.

Great item
Works great for moving a extremely heavy beer drinking table. Easy to move it around the shop.

Great bit of kit for the money, instructions were clear.
Well made and for the money no complaints. All threaded sections in the base worked fine, options of two lengths of fixing bolts a nice surprise. Only had to ream out two holes for rubber feet. I added some extra washers to fixed wheels and foot levers to reduce the play a bit and it wasn’t much of a fiddle to do this, but some may disagree. I may end up putting some extra rubber pads on the swivel wheel corners to help increase grip as expect in time the smaller rubber feet may wear on my concrete floor but all in all impressed. I’ll probably buy another .

Be careful assembling.
I found assembly slightly tricky, mainly due to poor photo prints! When I spent an extra minute or two on working it out logically, careful assembly and both units work fine. One with my bandsaw on it, a hefty enough, medium sized one and the other for a home made stand with my belt/disc sander mounted on it. Both units are now very easy to move around in my limited space and the size being so easy to set be just cutting ones choice o& wood to size is excellent.

Strong, sturdy and worth the money.
First out of the box I was impressed with the sturdiness of the product. Nothing that was going to break, bend or seize. Firm rubber wheels, thick metal brackets ,solid screws. Regarding the screws, I used a 3/4 ply and the appropriate screws. A couple of extra would have been great as I has a dud screw. The instructions , although not the best I have seen, were certainly clearer than some cookery recipes I have used. Also it’s not that complex a design so it’s easy to work out. There was a good warning in the instructions regarding checking the drill hole positions. I appreciated that. It took a while to build, a couple of hours, but I ended up with a strong mobile base for my heavy planer and a deep sense of satisfaction. I know it doesn’t state what thickness of ply so as a note I used 3/4 and it is more than adequate. My planer weighs about 100 LB. Nice product. I recommend it.

Well designed and strong.
The PM 1100 is a high quality, well designed mobile base with great flexibility to fit any size tool up to the weight limit. It was relatively easy to assemble using normal shop tools and I had no issues with alignment of the holes. I used the corner assembly clamped to the bottom as a template and marked the holes with a brad point drill bit slightly smaller than the hole. Depending on how accurate you are with this process, you can either do the final drilling to exact fit the screws, or drill one size larger to accommodate any minor misalignment. The holes in the corner assembly are threaded and will benefit from having the screws run part way through to remove paint in the threads, prior to assembly. I installed this base under a Rigid TS3650 table saw that weighs 280 lbs and it works perfectly. I mounted the front assembly with casters and levers pointing sideways so there is no tripping hazard and once the floor stops were adjusted the saw is very solid. I like that the levers to raise and lower are metal and move easily with a toe push. Check the BoraTools.com website for help selecting the correct base for your application. Highly recommend and will be ordering a second base for my bandsaw.

Good quality. Instructions are so-so
Product is great. Instructions not so much. Don’t cut your plywood until after you tuck into assembly of the feet. Halfway through instructions it tells you to cut the plywood xx wider than your base. Instructions also don’t tell you how thick the plywood should be. I used 1/2” plywood and found the short bolts had to be cut off as they touched the ground; Even after adjusting feet. - I suggest 5/8” - 3/4” plywood. Also had a couple nylon washers left over. They were too small to didn’t fit any of the bolts.
