It's Nice To Have, But Not Perfect
I added lithium grease to all the moving parts as I assembled it to make it as quiet and smooth moving as possible. I found the plastic foot pedals were too far forward so I used my drill to drill new holes to install the plastic foot pedals further back (about 10"); Even with the black plastic foot pedals installed further back I still find myself standing with my heels on top of the back of the foot pedals sometimes to make it more confortable for me to pedal/walk. The unit tilts side to side as I walk; I have the unit on a carpeted floor, but I think it would still tilt side to side even on a hard floor surface. I find the pedals are not close enough together forcing my feet further apart than I want (making it less comfortable when pedaling/walking). The left-rear bolt is tight, but is starting to get lose inside which makes a little sound and vibration when pedaling/walking. For the low price it is nice, but you get what you pay for; A more expensive machine (like the ones at a health club) would be much better; smoother, last longer, and be more comfortable when using.

Maybe if I kept it, I'd know how well it works...
I received this on time and in (seemingly) good condition. This was delivered on a Friday but I did not have a chance to unpack or inspect for a few days. Unpacking and organizing parts was quick and the instructions easy to follow. I myself find it a lot easier assembling by looking at the pictures and using common sense, NOT by following the written instructions word for word. I got one half assembled and was about to start on the other when I noticed a crack in the plastic "base." I thought maybe it would still work alright, even with the crack and attempted to move the half I had assembled and realized, I could barely get the pedal to budge. Clearly I got a damaged item, inside and out. Amazon was great to work with on the return and I honestly had the most drama getting my local UPS to pick this back up, even after Amazon graciously scheduled a pick up for me. The money was put back into my account one day after they received the return. So while I cannot review this item based on it's performance, I WILL rate the experience of purchasing 3 stars because Amazon took such great care of me. Thanks Amazon!!

Pretty good
I think the best part of this elliptical is the price! Mine makes a sufficient amount of noise, but nothing horrifying that can be heard outside of my room. It was actually a lot easier to put together than other reviews made it seem (I'm 5'2" and could easily maneuver the heavy parts around). I did have two complaints about assembly: one of the bolts didn't line up right and I basically bashed it with a hammer until it did, and there are bolts under the seat that are impossible to tighten with the tool given so my seat is a bit wobbly. Like I said, I'm 5'2" so I have no issues with the height of it also be forewarned that you have to get used to the way the stride feels on this because it's a shorter one from the gym. What I mean is that it feels weird at first, like you should be making a longer, and smoother, rotation. Once you're used to that though, it's a pretty good machine to have at home and it doesn't take up much space at all. And it is very easy to move around if you can't decide where to put it at first! Didn't scratch the wood floor at all.

Noisy, not very durable
I've had this for a couple of years now. I have been around 120 to 130 lbs during this time, so well under its max weight limit (and I am the only person using it). Assembly was a little time consuming, a few hours, but straightforward and easy enough. It started squeaking within a few months of use (20 minutes a few times a week). I found that it needed to be tightened in several places every few months to make it not as loud, although it's never completely noise-free anymore. I even tried re-oiling it, but it didn't help. About six months ago, the seat broke off. I can put it back on, but it is not secure and will move around. For me, this has been a good option because of how inexpensive it was and I can get on it whenever. I will keep using it until I can't anymore. It is not very durable through normal usage, unfortunately.

Machine Quits after 7 Months
We bought this machine in July 2013; cost us approximately $250 including taxes. (If you add S/H of $68 - which we did not pay because of promotion - it will be more). Still at $250, I consider its value "VERY EXPENSIVE" because after 7 months of usage, the equipment broke; something snapped inside the main frame and there is no more tension at all! I don't want to waste my time opening the main frame to find out what's wrong because in the manual it is not specified in the drawing/diagram what is inside the main frame! My wife & I were the only people using this, and we are about 5' 3" and weigh about 130 lbs. Considering our heights and weights, we feel we don't have enough legroom, and machine should not give up after 7 months! This machine basically has 1 program setting. Comparatively, we had elliptical machine that we purchased August 2005 for roughly more than $300. It had several great program settings and it had been good to us till June 2013 (almost 8 years). That's what we consider great value!!! Too bad, it's not available anymore.

Bummed out..
I got this trainer in August, I haven't felt motivated to fix it up or start working out until last week. I was so excited to open it up and fix it, halfway done I noticed I was missing the pedals AND the seat, I immediately started freaking out because it's been months since I bought it and I thought I wasn't gonna be able to return it. I get online and chat with an Amazon representative, she understood me and immediately told me they could replace a new one (I was beyond grateful for that), so I did what she told me to do (btw, this was Saturday night) by Tuesday I got my new one and guess what? It had broken parts, by the time I was taking everything out of the plastic bags I noticed black little plastic things and it turns out that my tubes plastic parts were broken.. I was so bummed out, I'm returning it now, hopefully they can refund my money so I can invest in a better quality one.. :(
