Wish I bought this much sooner!
I didn’t buy this sooner because of the bad reviews. In my opinion don’t pay attention to those bad reviews. I’m an oil painter with a small studio setup and use odorless mineral spirits (OMS)to clean my brushes. In the past I’ve used smaller stainless steel and glass containers with coils or screens and had problems with the size. I LOVE the size of this bucket; it holds more OMS making it easier to clean larger brushes, the screen has more surface to clean the brushes, my long handled brushes don’t fall out, I don’t have to clean the paint sludge from the bottom as often, and I can put the lid on the bucket and store my OMS for my next session. I am very happy with this purchase.

Much needed for oil paints.
This bucket is awesome. The screening screen in the bottom makes it easy to clean brushes as you paint while keeping your thinned pretty clean. I use a ziplok bag in mine because it makes cleanup so much easier. The cost is not too high and I would recommend it to a friend.

Major time saver for the Bob Ross method! Must have if you only have one set of brushes.
I still can't believe how much more effective it is using this little bucket and screen compared to what I was doing before (just a plain bucket with no screen). It really works as intended - the screen helps you scrub paint out of the brush without picking up the other discarded paint from the bottom if the bucket. Pairing this with the brush beater rack has cut my brush cleaning time mid-painting in at least half, which is huge if you're like me and only have one set of brushes. Both a huge time saver and does a better job of getting the excess paint out of the brush! 10/10, can't imagine painting without this now.

Keeps your thinner for the next painting.
The lid keeps thinner and fumes locked up until next time, my old one I've had for 5 years and still does a geat job. The brush screen lets me gently work the oils off the brush keeping my bristles in shape.

I haven’t seen one of these buckets for several years. This one is very small, probably 8 inches high and 10 inches around. It’s kid size now and like many other products can’t get much smaller. I’m shocked for $15. Not worth it. I’m keeping but not happy at all.

cleaner bucket and screen
One of those ideas that make you wish you were born earlier so you could have thought of it:) I would have given it 5 stars but the lid seals up so tight that it can sometimes be hard to get off, which might be a problem for some people who are weaker or old and can't work their hands that good anymore. Don't get me wrong, I think it is wonderful that it seals up so good because I travel around with mine and I dont have to worry about it spilling or leaking out on anything...Im just saying that some people might have a hard time with it is all. But over all Im very pleased with my decision to purchase this item. I wasnt going to buy it at first because it seemed like an unnecesary item, boy was I wrong, anyone who paints with any kind of medium could benefit from this- the screen in the bottom makes getting the debris off so much faster and more thoroughly than just shaking the brush in a class jar or something. Again, good decision and i recommend it to anyone- what could it possible hurt to give it a shot, I did and Im happier for it.

Perfect
Makes cleaning brushes so easy! The size isn't as small as some people claim; I don't know why anyone would need anything bigger than this, to be honest. You can comfortably clean a 3-inch brush, if you have those on hand. For best results, you should clean the screen off when you empty the cleaner out, as a lot of paint collects on here (naturally!). If you paint in oils, then this is a huge timesaver! It's great. Forget the cost and in a few months you'll be so happy you have this little item!

Loving this bucket.....
This bucket is just what I needed to clean my 2 inch and round brushes quickly and properly. Much better than the little one I have been making-do with. I use the Bob Ross odourless thinners, enough above the screen at the bottom for the bristles of a 2 inch to be covered. Then for a great finish I use a Bob Ross brush drying rack.......cleaning up is so much easier and quicker now. I keep the lid on my bucket when not actually using it to stop evaporation.
