BladesUSA – Universal Leather Sword Frog Seems nice. My old one (different brand) was barely used and started to fall apart cosmetically (cracking and peeling). This new one looks nice and similar to my old one. I took one star off because the string is frail and brittle. I lightly pulled on the string to tie a knot and the string broke. So if you are replacing your old one save your old string in case you need to restring this one with your old string.

It was good for my sword

It was good to put my sword in for my costume. The only draw back was there were no instructions illustrations on how to wear it. I managed something, but my sword kept pointing out in front of me if I wasn't holding it. Overall it would have probably worked better if it was on properly.

A great way to hang a scabbard or practice blade from your belt. old school look (I'm not sure of hustorical era or anything) seems like real leather with good metal attachments and adjustable to accommodate a range of sizes

DOES NOT FIT RAPIERS!

I dont' have photos of this, so sorry for the lack of convenience. TLDR = frog doesn't fit rapier scabbard, laces snapped, had to de-lace and wrap left over lacing around frog to make it tight enough to fit my rapier. Let me start with the age old saying, "GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR", now this is not an attack on the creator or shop, it's mostly my fault for not looking at other reviews firs. This frog fits MOST of my swords no problem, however, it will not fit a rapier, the rapier in question is from kult of athena, i can't remember it's specific name, the scabbard is 3.5 in diameter, this frog will not close that tightly since the lips will not over lap the way it is laced. it is barely tight enough to hold the scabbard but will fall out if you move around, now when i tried tightening the scabbard the laces snapped, their cheaply made, again not real leather, get what you pay for. After they snapped i de-laced the lacing, and wrapped it around the frog, allowing the lips of the frog to overlap which made it tighter, tight enough to hold the scabbard, and now it fits, it was a small bit of hassle, but for my purposes it will work, but as i said, "you get what you pay for" i suppose, all in all the structure of the ACTUAL frog is solid, from the thickness of the fake leather to the sturdiness of the metal rings, mind you i've only had it for two days, but for the price i couldn't really complain, i'm only giving four stars cuz the laces snapped, otherwise, it's a good beginner frog of some kind, not for serious reanacting though.

buy at your own risk

i spent $5 each on this expecting one of them to be some dry rotted hot garbage like in several of the other reviews. but i got lucky and they were actually in great shape. the same product is for sale on here for like 15-20. i decided $5 was worth the gamble especially since you can just return them no problem if they are junk.

Very nice

Purchased for my lightsaber, it slips right through, but I fully acknowledge that the saber has a thin handle, and no crossguard. Once added, this frog will be a great addition!

Works exactly as expected

Lacing expands to accommodate a sword (scabbard and all) with 36in long blade, 2.5in wide at the hilt. Holds it at an ideal angle. Works like a charm. Didn't like the way the scabbard rode on my hip, this fixed the problem.
