Very powerful blower
Loved this purchase. Very strong blower with a great little engine. It spools up like a turbine engine and blows well enough to force you to move it from left to right hands to ease the strain (that's good, you want the strongest blower you can afford). It's strong enough to wear you out if you work it as long as I did. I like the low setting as well....that would be good for older people who might be overwhelmed with the continuous push in the opposite direction of the nosel. For older users, it has a lower setting that worked rather well. Using both settings allows you to push debris around then push it several feet away. It will push wet caked layers of leaves from last fall that made our patio garden a mess. A big difference with the 9 amp motor compared to what I was using from the past (old 6 amp tired motor). This turbine jet powered machine was a popular toy for my family who all had to take a shot at riding this bucking bronco (that's how much push you get from it). At the high speed setting, your hand and forearm muscles will get tired if you work it long enough like I did. I thought I was in reasonable shape, but got a little soreness from using it due to it's power): that's a good thing...you want a light blower that is powerful. I cleaned up alot of caked on wet leaves from last fall, real quick. If you're serious about moving debris.....this is all you need to buy. You don't need to spend more for anything more powerful. I was curious about a 40v battery powered blower that my mother was excited to use, but this really cannot be beat. I am quite pleased with this product, and even abused it with a drop from 4 ft...with no damage to the blower. I can enthusiastically recommend this blower. At this price point, I doubt if there is a lighter and more powerful blower out there. Frankly....I wouldn't want a stronger blower or bigger engine. 9 amps is all it takes. I had a real dirty job with caked on layers of mulchy leaves from last fall, and this thing blew the debris easily from every fence and corner. It was a real surprise and godsend. Our patio garden was just caked with dead wet leaves, and this thing cleared out everything all the way down to the top soil. It made my job a whole lot easier. If you got a cheap 6 amp blower from long ago, you'll be quite surprised at how well this spools up with jet turbine like competence.

SUPER VALUE - GREAT POWER - LIGHT WEIGHT - No Oil/Gas Spills or Starting Problems!!!
Black & Decker - Making a QUALITY & VALUE comeback!!! My long asphalt driveway and concrete sidewalks get covered thick with pine needles and leaves. pine needles ooze sticcky pitch that requires very strong jet of air to remove some debris. I looked at all of the reviews stating how powerful this blower was for $40 and figured that, for this low price if it's been overrated, I can always use it to clear my never-ending sawdust messes and sidewalk. WOW! This thing REALLY BLOWS!!! If you set it down and turn it on high speed, it will blow itself away from you before you know what happenedI was SO impressed with its power that I almost immediately invested in two 10 gauge 100 ft extension cords (Always useful for whatever when you have an acre or more and family events, etc.). My research shawed that the better gas powered blowers were ALL over $150 (plus, gas can, gas, oil & maintenance !). The cordless electric models are definitely getting better and better BUT,..youget KILLED on the cost of Lithiuim Ion Rechargable Batteries and they keep raising the required voltage/battery capacity 20V, the 40V and now 80V and $$$ just for batteries. I figured it would be difficult to accidentally cut a 10-gauge cord with a BLOWER! With the 2 100 ft heavy duty extension cords + my 2 existing fifty footers I can cover everything I need to clear NO fighting fouled sparkplugs, gummed up carburetors, etc No remembering to buy gas, oil, or fuel stabilizer for winter. OK, YES, it does take a few mins. to deploy the extension cord, BUT, once that is done, I flip the switch and get 'er DONE. In my case its a bonus to have a couple of heavy duty extension cords always available! The ONLY downside in my case is winding up the last 50 ft or cord around my hand and elbow makes my right arm a little tired(maybe I'll just spend another $20 and buy a heavy duty cord reel and give my 68-yr-old shoulder a rest! BOTTOM LINE: If you don't mind 10 minutes of cord management (vs. ?? mins. of mixing gas/oil , ## of attempted pull starts, running for the recharger because the battery ran down before you were finished, just GO for this B & D blower. You will NOT regret it!

Price is very convenient but the hose is loosened while it is working. The locking clips are not well enough.

Beware of the air intake - otherwise, great!
Great leaf blower. I’ve been using it on my concrete patio, super lightweight & powerful. Before I bought it, I read another review by someone saying they got their hair caught in the air intake and I’ve always had that in the back of my mind and have, generally, worn my hair up around it, like I did today. What I was not mindful of today was the drawstring on my shorts… got sucked right in… the blower sputtered for a moment as I ripped it out… then continued on fine. The drawstring was partially ripped off so, just be mindful of anything lightweight and loose near it.

Small and light but more than enough for a townhome
I've used this blower every day for about a week and very satisfied. There is a large tree right next to my townhome and in the fall it drops seeds and leaves inches deep. The only way to keep up with it is to use a blower every day or so and this one is light and easy and puts out enough air to push everything into a pile in the corner of the yard. From there it's easy into the recycling bin. The angled intake on the back is great and doesn't get completely blocked if one side sucks my shirt in. The extension tube is fairly short but works fine. Simple three position switch is right where it should be on the top of the handle and doesn't need to be held to keep the blower on. Overall, a good deal for a simple leaf blower.

Good air flow
I purchased this to blow lint from the dryer vent. The common dryer vent is around 4" and with this 450CFM is like piece of cake (most of the time when cleaning dryer vent, you dont need fancy tool but use powerful blower to blow once a while.). No more error code from the dryer after all. I will use this to blow the snow from my driveway in winter and use this to blow leaf/insect bodies from my car's engine before pulling spark plugs. Generally speaking a powerful blower is common tool for every home owner

Love that it is not battery operated
Good quality product with great blowing power. I recommend the corded product to complete your jobs. I have tried the battery operated product and it lasts only 20 minutes max. Lightweight, easy to use and does the job to clear debris such as leaves, dirt, spider webs, pebbles and smaller rocks. I have not tried it in snow as of yet.

It works and it is great
I love this product I used it to blow light snow of my bridge and step. I also used it to clean snow of my car it only takes a minute to do it and to clean sand and dirt of my drive wat . Looking forward to cleaning up leaves with it this fall.

Strong but…
This is a pretty powerful blower and moves light snow quite well, but it’s a bit heavy and be careful of the intake vents around loose clothing. Just be sure to keep it away from your body.
