Perfect to Hold a Leashed Dog

We needed something to easily secure a leashed dog. This was simple to install on a porch post with a couple of 2” deck screws. It is deep enough to quickly drape the leash handle loop over the cleat, and it’s secure enough to hold a quiet golden retriever while he waits a minute to continue his walk.

Good cleats.

These were exactly as described. Did the job and fit perfectly. As with many "small ticket" items, check your pricing. I found out that the local, privately owned marine dealer sells these considerably cheaper. This didn't cost these cleats a star, they were exactly what I expected, the price was my fault for not shopping, not the manufacturer's or seller's. I could've helped the local economy, saved money, and had them immediately, rather than waiting for shipping. They are not smooth and glossy, they are textured, matte finished.

Best cleats for metal boat

These are great cleats -- nearly fabulous at Amazon's add-on price. And for my aluminum boat, they're the best option to avoid corrosion caused when any non-aluminum metal comes in contact with an aluminum hull. I bought two #14 stainless flat-head machine screws for each, put a dab of marine sealant on each 3/16" hole in my boat, and they mounted very tightly and securely. They look good, and they won't corrode. Love these cleats.

This was just what I needed for a little cheap light weight fishing boat. They are a very good value for small utility use.
