I don't even own a biOrb!

I love this product. I bought it because it was aesthetically beautiful and had great reviews, and I didn't let me down! The soft leaves are not only beautiful and natural looking, but they do not tear at my fragile betta's fins like many other artificial plants of inferior quality. I have a regular cube aquarium that is 1.5g with a single delta tail betta (Merman), and I will say that even a small grass ring is quite large. It fills a huge chunk of the middle, so if you have a tiny tank (smaller than 1.5g), I wouldn't recommend it. (I'm upgrading to a 6 gallon and mixing this decor with real plants so it won't be a problem). I shoved some sand over the bottom to make it appear like it was growing out of the sand. I really like that it is weighted in a ceramic ring - there's not risk of it floating up and destroying the illusion of a real plant. Another huge plus of having this biOrb grass ring is that it is hollow in the middle, obviously because it is meant to fit over the air filter tube of a biOrb. In my non-biOrb tank, the hollow middle part serves as a very ingenious "cave" that my betta loves hanging out in, and sleeping in. It is so thick with hair grass that you can't see the hollow in the middle - imagine my initial surprise when I was looking for Merman and he was nowhere to be found! Eventually he came lazily swimming out of his new hang out in the middle of the hair grass, it was hilarious. He adores it. As a tip, it is definitely worth it to gently bend the leaves while doing that first rinse, so that they end up spreading outwards in the tank. It looks much more natural that way, and your fish will love swimming in and out of the leaves. The only con is that this is really expensive by fake aquarium plant standards, but the quality and fun of it all is priceless.

It's plastic but adds natural look to biorb

The rest of the Biorb centerpieces are sculptures by an artist and I love the detail. But despite the plastic this adds a nature element. So with plants there's nothing but natural looking things in my biorb. Definitely a different appeal. Also conceals more of the tube than many other Biorb centerpieces. And my small guppies love to move around inside it in the usual hunt for food.

Overpriced and small

I purchased this for my 4gallon biorb. Overall, I feel like biorb brand décor is very overpriced but I do like having a decoration that surrounds the air pump. It's smaller than I expected and lots of space remain between the grass and the top of the air tube. I wish it were taller to help camouflage the air tube better. It's just oK.

Good for biorb tanks

Great product for the biorb- it hides the central filter tube. Not super easy to clean- the "blades of grass" are hard to scrub algae off. Otherwise good purchase. No suction to speak of, but it is weighed down enough to not float around in the tank.

Perfect

No suction needed, it fits over the tube, I haven’t decided if I like the look, I love my bio orb, it’s a bit overpriced but it’s so pretty!!!!! I might go for a more mini almost look my betta has to many hiding places!

I really liked it but I thought it was quite expensive if you ask me. Also I bought the medium grass ring for my baby biOrb thinking it wouldn't matter even the recommended size for the baby biOrb is the small. But it kind of does because the grass ring covers the whole tube which kind of makes it difficult to see my small fish if they are in the back :( So I would suggest getting the small grass ring for the Baby BiOrb!!!

Larger than expected!

Exactly what I wanted it to do, which was to slide over the Biorb bubble tube and sit on the filter cover, but it is quite a bit bigger than I was expecting, especially as I have other plants in the tank. I have the Halo 30 so ordered the medium size but with hindsight I would have preferred the smaller one. However, it still looks good!

Smaller than thought

This is too small to use as the centerpiece to surround the ait pipe in the centre of the tank. I though it would be the same size as my old one but is half the size so I was disappointed when I opened it

biorb medium grass ring

delivery was great the grass ring i went for a medium as i have a 60 litre biorb tank and it was the perfect size i have also had comments from people when they have been in my house the grass isnt sharp like blades as some body commented as i was hesitated to buy i just took the risk and glad i did my fish love it and i would buy again.

My fish love this. Well, I have no idea really, but it looks good.... I have a Baby Biorb and it fits perfectly around the filter tube. It's nice for the fish to have some greenery. Not sure it's any different from other plastic ornaments, but at least it fits nicely around the central filter
