Accurate and Precise. I have done the research for you, this is the scale you want!
I have had this scale since February 2021. We are doing a weight loss competition at work, and I had brought my old scale in for everyone to use. I loved that scale, but it died, forever, pretty quickly in the competition- I mean, it was 15 years old. I began searching for a new, similar scale. My old scale was the same clear glass style, and I wanted that again. I searched and searched and searched through all the scales available. Every single one has mixed reviews. What I learned from my old beloved scale: it had a few extra features - like BMI, body fat %, water %, etc. You could assign users and track history. I cared about none of them. I would use the extra features here and there. But my weight tracking has always been more manual (on a calendar or phone notes), and I rarely care about the rest. BMI can be quickly calculated online if I wanted (I don't), I don't care about most of the other numbers, and body fat % is not that accurate. Period. Unless you're using a pod or a pool to determine air or water displacement, respectively, or, you're using the old-school caliper technique and you know what you're doing. I digress. Anyway, basically, I just wanted a scale that gave me my weight, accurately and precisely, and was preferably transparent glass. So, as I said, a complete mixed bag here on Amazon. So much so, that I even searched Google for scales and reviews, and started wondering where doctors offices get theirs. Could I find the same digital scale as a doctor? Could I find space for one of those old school move-the-weight scale types? ???? After all my exhaustive searches, I ended up back on Amazon, where I combed through the scales and scale reviews. I used a review checker, and a ton of scale reviews here are fake. What compelled me about this particular scale was that my independent review program flagged it as having a large number of false negative reviews. It gave it a name that I don't remember, and then explained that this type of thing happens when a ton of negative reviews are posted to a product around the same day, by users that don't seem legitimate, and other compelling data. It gave scenarios where this type of thing has happened to other Amazon items, like a particular political persons book release that racked up way-more-than-possible negative reviews the first day it was available. Having gone through all of the Amazon scales, twice, I had a list of scales I was interested in. I immediately threw out the ones that had many reviews of the glass shattering. Or the ones that seemed to be more about the scale's bells and whistles instead of just being good at weighing a body. Then, as I mentioned above, I used my program that analyzes the reviews. All of the others scales had a lot more "fake" reviews than this scale. This scale didn't have near the volume of reviews as the others, a lot of the "fake" reviews for this scale were negative, and this scale still pulled out a decent Amazon score. I decided to pull the trigger and purchase this scale. So, if you're still with me by now, let me tell you about my experience with this scale... I love it! The numbers are big and easy to read. The scale is perfectly easy to use. We have many people using it, and it works well for everyone. It gets moved around the office a lot, and has been completely durable. When I first received the scale, I weighed a 10 lb weight, and a 5 lb weight, and my body holding said weights - someone at work also tested the scale. On day one, right after opening and starting the scale, the 10 lb got a weight of 10.0 several times. It also did a 10.2 and a 10.4. The 5 lb weight gave a weight of 5.0 and 4.8. Holding the weights added on exactly 5 and 10 lbs to my weight. Once I took the scale and 10 lb weight to work, it only ever gave 10.0 as the reading for the 10 lb weight by itself. It added exactly ten pounds to my colleagues weight when she held the weight. If you step on and off the scale, it will repeatedly give you the same weight. Essentially, I have confirmed that this scale is both accurate - in that the weight it gives is the true weight of the object, and precise - in that it gives consistent readings over and over again. So, fast forward to now. The first weight loss competition started 1/5/21 and ended 4/7/21. I killed it. No one was even close. I lost 15%. I won $400. I decided to challenge everyone for a second round and I threw all $400 back into the pot. The new competition begins today, 4/16/21, ends 7/16/21, and the pot is now at $900. I will win! The first scale I purchased stays at work for the competition. When I realized I would have to go another 3 months with no scale in my house, I immediately purchased this one, again. There are now some bigger guys in the competition, and we are starting new, so, I'm capped at a lower weight. I WILL win! ???????? I have been using my scale at home to grab a reading mostly every morning and evening so that I can get a good baseline of my true weight and fluctuations. This scale is amazing for that. If you've made it to the end of my review- congrats! Buy this scale! If you want a scale for weighing your body that is easy, accurate, and precise - look no further! I'm excited to tell you that this is it!!! I now own two. ????

Accurate and good looking
Our previous black plastic taylor scale suffered an attack from our 15 month old. There were some loud bangs and the scale had given its last reading. Anyway, we had a glass one before the plastic one that we liked a lot so I figured I'd look for one of those again. We've been using this one for a few months and it's been good. Good: - Fast readings. - Consistent readings (when I check somewhat back to back). - Easy to read numbers (our previous plastic one had taller and thinner letters and was harder to read). Sort of cons: - I wish the background lit up (our previous had a blue backlight and it did make it even easier to read). - The circular base points are a bit far from the outside edges (too far inward). Sometimes when I try to stand on it (and 150% of the time when our kids stand on it) and you stand too close the edge, the other end of the scale seesaws up and then it falls back down to the tile sort of violently. I'm always worried we're going to break it. I have to be very precise when I stand on the circles so I don't do that. Anyway, we're still happy with the look and functionality of the scale and would make the same purchase again given the same options at the time.

Works great
My husband is 300lbs and it held him just fine. He's down 40 lbs and counting. Compared to the doctors scale it is correct.

Taylor Digital Bathroom Scale review
Light and precise

easy but not perfect
A basic bathroom scale. It works fine, although it runs 3-5lbs higher than my old scale, but consistently. I don't know which of the two scales is the inaccurate one. But bathroom scales are such a well-explored commodity (consumer goods that should be close to generically "perfect") that I have quibbles, which are enough to dock 2 stars. * It's physically heavier than my older glass scale. * Heavier matters because you have to pick it up to move it-- the non-skid feet mean it won't slide on tile. * Not sliding is annoying if you wanted to tuck the scale under a vanity or in a corner when not using it. Who wants to devote multiple square feet of floor to a scale? * The LCD isn't backlit, so it's hard to see in low light. * The scale is rated to 400lbs. I'm just half that, but standing centered on the scale it's hard to see the display without "sucking in". If the 400lbs is a selling point, they should have made the platform larger, or added a voice read-out. All minor quibbles, but enough to say there's better Taylor models out there. You can't return these scales unless defective, so I'm stuck with this one, but I would buy a different one next time.

Large print is easy to see
As I've aged, my eyesight has deteriorated and I couldn't see the numbers on a regular scale. It is easy for me to see the numbers on this scale. I like how it is turned on just by tapping a toe on it and automatically turns itself off to save the battery.
