Not made in the US

This bicycle just works. They call it the "Hinge" because get this... it uses actual door hinges as the folding mechanism. lol 4 stars simply due to it being made in China. If I was saving $1500 dollars theoretically as a person in my 40's from not paying car insurance every year, I should make enough to support American manufacturing but this bike just annoyed me by not reading that fine print before purchasing from an American company. Make sure to clean and lubricate that bicycle chain every week. The hinges may not be properly welded but some white lithium grease spray will get some of the less crude bikes to open and close properly whenever they present resistance.

The bike seat is a crime against humanity

Overall, for the price, I am happy with the bike so far. It came out of the box in good condition and was easy to put together. It isn’t that sturdy, but I just have to be careful and not stand on it or get too crazy with it. It’s a single speed, so combined that with the sturdiness of the bike, anything other than flat pavement like a sidewalk or a street would be torture. Speaking of torture, that’s how I would describe the bike seat. The seat is on a long pole, specific to the bike, so I’m going to need to do some research to see if it can be replaced. The folding mechanisms can be a bit unwieldy and difficult, but suspect with practice I’ll get better at folding it up. The best thing about it is that it is space saving. You have to understand what you are sacrificing by buying a lower end folding bike.

Good, but check brakes and oil first.

Pro: Sturdy frame. Cons: Folding hinge very tight. Spray it down with WD40 or it can refuse to fold at all. Brakes came tightened too tightly, and had to loosen them as they were gripping the tire at all times. Most uncomfortable seat. Highly suggest replacing the seat. Personal annoyance: I bought the bike under the assumption it was a beach cruiser style as I saw it was a 1-speed. I don't blame the dealer, however, as I should have looked closer. Hoping to eventually replace the tires with backpedal brakes. Otherwise, the bike is very sturdy and reliable. I've deducted it to 3 Stars because the brakes aren't calibrated properly prior to shipping, and replacing the seat seems like a must. After that, however, great bike.

20 inch wheels mean decent torque even with one gear

Can confirm: my single speed version arrived with a bent hinge, no damage to shipping box, which makes me suspect malevolence (vandalism) against Schwinn somewhere in the supply chain. Bent enough to ruin the paint protecting the steel underneath from eventual rust in the long-term and the bike could not function. Vice grips, a little elbow grease, and spray paint transcended the problem (it took about 9 coats of Krylon Gloss Bauhaus Gold from Lowe's to cover the dark blue-grey and match the accents and lettering). Flipping the bracket around that holds the rear fender helped center it above the wheel too, like it was installed backwards. Now, it's excellent. Five stars easily, if vandalism is truly the cause, ill marks can hardly be metered out for that. Whatever the reason, I wasn't going to let it stop me enjoying my first brand new bike! The single gear and 20 inch wheels makes for a great cadence with good torque if you aren't looking for high speed and want the convenience of a smaller folding bike instead of a 29 inch road bike or hybrid. In the picture, you can see the indentation and bite marks from the vice grips, next time I'd sacrifice some washers or something to sandwich in-between while bending it back into shape. Very happy.

Okay bike overall

The bike itself is okay, but the way it's secured in the box is awful. It comes folded, standing on the front chainring, which is very fragile and in my case it arrived bent. Second thing is the wheels come bent, un-trued so do speak, which makes adjusting the brakes a big pain until you true the wheels, for which you need a tool or send it to a bike shop.

Excelente opción! Estoy muy contento.

Excelente opción! Me encantó desde el primer momento. La conducción es suave y muy estable. La uso entre 4 y 6 días a la semana para recorridos pequeños (4-6 km) en la CDMX y me ha funcionado perfecto. Lo único es que para ser una plegable es algo pesada, quizá sea un poco cansado estarla cargando para trayectos largos, pero se puede guardar muy fácilmente. Soy una persona con 1.77 mts de estatura y de 87 kg de peso.

Lástima que la calidad mexicana me hizo comprar producto americano

Esta es mi segunda bicicleta plegable. La primera fué la mercurio folding bike; en dos semanas tuve que pedir reemplazo. Está bicicleta Schwinn es un poco más pesada pero lo vale porque es muy resistente y te da confianza para conducir por la ciudad de México. La recomiendo ampliamente.

Folded to acceptable size. Fit into the trunk easily. Easy to fold and unfold. Nice rack and carrying bag. Looks durable. Reasonable price. Fit for short distance ride. Muy buen desempeño, buena inversión.

Es una bicicleta no tan pesada, se puede transportar en el transporte colectivo (CDMX) con su bolsa de transporte. Yo lo llevo en el auto para moverme por la ciudad, en subidas es más o menos ligera, no tiene tanta estabilidad como una de montaña, pero es claro que es para ciudad en superficies pavimentadas. Es muy sencillo plegarla en tan solo tres pasos. Ahora lo negativo: no desarrolla velocidad. Aunque la calidad del material es muy buena, he tenido problemas con el asiento debido a que lo "subí" demasiado y el tubo se flexionó unos milímetros con lo que ahora es difícil retraer el tubo. (soy una persona alta). Por otra parte, tiene un ligero chasquido que se nota cuando se avanza rápido, que no logro saber de donde es, la bolsa de transporte no es tan resistente, el cierre se desprendió y lo tuve que reparar, pero cumple su función de moverla por el transporte público. No obstante, es una de las mejores bicicletas que he tenido, los frenos están excelentes, el asiento es relativamente cómodo. La he rodado por la ciudad hasta 24 km y sin problema. La relación precio beneficio es muy bueno.

Bonita, resistente con buena calidad.

¿Ya te compraste un convertible? Fue de las primeras cosas que me me dijeron cuando vieron mi nueva bicicleta, capta muchas miradas, que sea plegable la hace muy versátil, es muy cómoda al manejar, los frenos son muy buenos pero algo ruidosos. Es un poco pesada, trae una bolsa para que guardes tu bici en ella.
