Best of both worlds!
I caught some videos featuring the oil cleansing craze, seems I came to the party just a bit late, but better than never! I like the oil cleansing, it cleans my skin without stripping it, it does actually clean, I have combination skin, this helps my dry areas and doesn't over stimulate my oilier areas.

Korean Cosmetics
The Beyond Cleansing Oil can be used in the am or pm, to remove makeup and to cleanse oil-based impurities. It contains Avena sativa oat Kernel oil and natural oils. It is made in Korea, and most cosmetics I've tried from Korea are usually great. I am happy with this cleanser, but I find it to be a little over-priced.

Wheat Sprout Extract, Gluten-Sensitivity?; Good Oil Cleanser
I've tried a few items in the Beyond Glow Botanical Skin Care line, and most of them, including this Cleansing Oil for All Skin Types, do contain Triticum Vulgare wheat sprout extract. According to some online sources, "Triticum Vulgare germ oil (derived from wheat) and Hordeum vulgare extract (derived from barley) are two examples of gluten ingredients that might evade detection. If you're sensitive to gluten, you should be using gluten-free cosmetics and toiletries." Ultimately, there is mixed information regarding wheat germ and its suitability. But if I were remotely sensitive to it, I would likely avoid it just in case. Having noted the concern above, the 2-in-1 Cleansing Oil is a good first step in a double-cleanse routine. I would not use this as my only cleanser. As with most oil washes, you take a pump of this and massage it onto a dry face, not wet. Wetting it first will cause it to emulsify, which you want to do after you've broken down your makeup and SPF. Gently rub your face for ~30 seconds and rinse with warm water. You'll notice the cleanser turn milky with immediate contact with water. The oil cleanser comes off easily, but you can use a washcloth if you want to. Then follow up with your regular cleanser and the rest of your usual skincare. Oil cleansers are great because they disrupt the stubborn layers of makeup, SPF, dead skin, and sebum. It isn't irritating or drying. I have mature, combination, acne-prone, sensitive skin. It can be used AM or PM, but honestly, I'd stick to just using it in the PM unless you have severely dry skin and want something you can use that is non-drying to cleanse with in the AM too. Short of the unnecessary added fragrance, which isn't overpowering or bothersome enough with a rinse-off product to reject the use of this, and the questionable suitability of wheat germ for those with sensitivities, I think this is a good, inexpensive (~$25 for 5oz), suitable for most, oil cleanser.

Smells Great & Good At Breaking Down What Needs Removed
Even though this cleanser is called a cleansing oil, it doesn't feel oily at all. It's actually on the thin side and feels and smells like something that is good for oily skin. Oil does break down oil, so that's why they have oils in this and call it a cleansing oil. But it still doesn't strike me as being an oil as I would normally tend to think. Maybe because it rinses away so easily. It has a lovely mild lemony scent that is very pleasant to the nose. It spreads easily and does a decent job at breaking down any excessive oils and other gunk on your face. They also refer to this as being a pre-cleansing solution, I guess meaning that this will breakdown your make-up and any other oily things going on on your face needing some extra help with removing that your regular cleanser might have a bit of a difficult time removing. Honestly, this is a fairly decent cleanser and I don't see why most people can't use it for their sole cleansing solution. i guess that it might depend on how much stuff you may have on your face and whether or not you want to top it off with a more moisturizing cleanser. The bottle is kind of small but the price isn't bad. My face feels totally cleansed after using this. Good for all skin types and feels safe for sensitive skin.

Oily
So this is an oil-based cleanser that is different to me. I use in the shower on my dry face and then it's easier to wash off. It does wash off nicely and doesn't leave a film on my hands which I expected it would. I haven't noticed anything special on my face so far but it does leave it clean. I prefer a more lathering/foamy soap but wanted to give this a shot. It does clean makeup off my face better than regular face soap which I think is because of the oil properties. Worth trying but needs to get used to.

Works Well
This is a gentle facial oil cleanser. It worked well for me to use before bed.

Doesn't clean completely
While I have been pretty impressed with a few of Beyond Glow's offerings, I didn't find the Beyond Glow Cleansing Oil to be anything special. The oil sat on my face after I cleansed with it, and I had to repeatedly clean with a foaming cleanser or micellar water afterward. I found that it didn't break up my makeup completely (ick), and if there's one thing I cannot stand, it's having makeup left on my face. It seems to be step one in the cleansing process (to be followed by the foaming cleanser, if I recall, and is usual with an oil cleanser). However, I found I had to cleanse several times afterward, which really dried out my skin. What I do not need right now is dry, peeling skin. This is really not my favorite oil-based cleanser, nor my favorite step one of a two-phase cleansing process.
