I recently purchased the BLACK+DECKER Cocktail Maker Machine and Drink Maker for Bartesian capsules and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This machine is a game-changer for anyone who loves to make cocktails at home but doesn't have the time or skill to do so manually. Entertainers Bartender

We like to entertain friends and family and we usually have a lovely group that enjoys a good cocktail ???? ????. I've had a bar in every home I have lived in and as a host, I always made sure to offer and make drinks for everyone who wants one. If you like to make drinks then you know it could be time consuming and it may interrupt you if you're busy doing something else. I was first introduced to the Bartesian cocktail maker which came out prior to the BEV and I loved the cocktails it made. My goal was to buy one when it went on sale. When I was researching prices , I saw the B&D BEV advertisement and looked into it further on YouTube. After viewing comparison's of the two machines the BEV had me interested. I purchased the BEV under$200 here on Amazon and it's been a wonderful machine. I purchased a variety of cocktails from Bartesian and the me and my guest all agree the majority have been incredibly good. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys an excellent cocktail.

Sometimes distractingly strong

I bought this in December when all the holiday sales were going on to help make the price a little better. First off, I love the design. I like that all the bottles are upright, and it doesn't rely on gravity to assist with moving the alcohol. Additionally, I like that it has space for all 5 alcohols to be installed at the same time as it is a little annoying to have to swap in Gin on the Bartesian models if you have a Gin drinker in your household as that could cause for some undesired mixing of the alcohols. Additionally, the water bottle is glass and easily accessible as the Bartesian water container is not great and can leak water everywhere if you leave the water in there for several hours. Bartesian's response to that issue is that they say get fresh water every time you use it, but it is inconvenient to access their water container. Now unfortunately for the bad. Because the Bev uses pickup straws to draw up the alcohol it seems to give inconsistent results. I'm not sure it the one I had was malfunctioning or if it is a design flaw but it seems like it doesn't know if the alcohol is primed and filled the straws or if it is a new bottle inserted into the machine. I think it was supposed to empty the straws every use to ensure that it knew the state the unit was in. But from the drinks I had it seemed to make some of them undrinkable as it didn't get the measurements correct. Occasionally I would get a great long island iced tea and other times I'd be very disappointed with the results. It was not making the drinks to strong it was making the drinks wrong. It was unfortunately so bad at times I decided to return my unit and get the original bartesian despite not loving the gravity assist feature and the potential for water leaks which I had several times but now follow their suggestion to keep the water container empty until I have a need for it. I generally love Black and Decker and was very happy to see that they offered a compatible product that I could have available when entertaining friends especially since I got mine for half the price of the Bartesian. Plus as I stated I love how it looks and do think the pickup straw system looks much cooler and fit my industrial style. But with it being so inconsistent I just can't recommend this to anyone. Hopefully the unit I got was just having a bad week because I do like that more than one company is making compatible hardware for the pods and maybe if there is a second gen Bev i'll give it a try. But until then all I can say is if you buy it try it quickly so that if needed you can return it within the proper amount of time. P.S. Don't forget to purchase pods at the time you get either machine as they don't come with a sample pack as the pods have an expiration date on them.

Pretty good

This was a gift for my mom, she loved it. I also purchased the margarita pods and the variety pack. The machine does the job it makes mix drinks pretty easily and quickly, and its not loud or excessively bulky. The only thing to be prepared for is how expensive it can be. Keeping the alcohol stocked (as the machine is not shy about shots lol) and the pods are about $15-25 for 6 in a pack and the packs seemed to almost always come damaged and they can not be refunded or replaced.

Love it

Been thinking about getting one of these for a while, and finally took the plunge. On a scale from 1-10, I give it a 12! I love it. Assembly took no time, and as soon as you get the pods away you go. Used it a couple times and have been impressed with the flavor. Just bought a bunch more pods. Overall very happy with the purchase!

Très déçu ! C'est la 2e machine que je reçois en 1 semaine et toujours le même problème...l'eau ne s'écoule pas. Le service à la clientèle de black and decker est inexistant en français. Ça fait 24h que j'ai la machine et elle doit aller en réparation selon amazon
