Cost/Quality Ratio out of proportion

Beautiful piece, but not of the best quality for money. Not stable, does not sit level, missing screws in the hinges, and flimsy structure.

Metal/wood trunk

I received my trunk today, very happy that it came a day earlier but, a chunk of wood was cut out or broken. I’m keeping it only because I like it and it’s a pain to return

Not terribly sturdy at all......

If you want to live your life in your living room avoid this chest. We had it for nearly a month when our son went to get a blanket and the lid cracked and fractured when he closed it. He didn't force it. He didn't apply pressure to it. He simply closd the lid and it cracked. OK, things like that happen. It's a display of shoddy workmanship, but it happens. I love the trunk, though, so I contacted the company to see if I could purchase a replacement lid to install myself. No, they don't do that. They receive it from the manufacturer and simply sell the piece. OK, no problem there. Happens all the time. Can I order one directly from the manufacturer? No, sorry. So now I have a broken lid (too broken to effectively repair and definitely noticeable), can't get a replacement and am past the return deadline. And out the money. Bottom line, if you live a normal life DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! If you live in a museum and never touch or use anything you own you should be just fine.

i like it. its really nice

i like it. its really nice. the only thing, i didn't realize one side didn't have the siding on it. its black velvet on the back. i'm using it for a coffee table so it's kind of awkward to look at from the couch but i like it so much i'm overlooking it. goes great in my rustic/glam living room

Love It!!!

I bought this to store our dog's food storage container, treats containers and all his misc items. It works absolutely perfect. It goes perfect with the rest of the items in our home. Arrived undamaged and packaged well. Let it air out for a day and put a few dryer sheets inside to help get rid of the smell most items have like this for a few days. Pretty study overall, may reinforce the hinges just because I have kids that may not be as nice opening and shutting it.

The 'style' was exactly what I wanted for this accent piece. However they are VERY inexpensively made. I returned the item twice because I received it damaged/defective. Not shipping damage, poorly manufactured. I tried a 3rd time and again defective but as I really liked the piece I was able to affect the repair myself and kept it. I can't use it as I had planned as it is very weak structure, thin wood, etc. but at least it still is an accent piece. A shame, I was really excited about ordering other pieces from this company .... but quality is severely lacking.
