Ice is No Match for This Beast!
Due to a faulty ice maker in my expensive Samsung refrigerator (which they can't or won't fix), I resorted to buying an ice maker and storing the ice in the freezer. Often times, the ice clumps together so I needed something to break up the ice. I didn't want one of those cheap long pointed picks so I opted to buy the Barfly Ice Pick. It is extremely sturdy, very well crafted and has three different heads to choose from to break up the ice. I will never need to buy another ice pick. It's more expensive than other products but well worth it!

Should have not made it past Quality Assurance
The item that I received should not have made it past QA. There was a 1 mm gap between the blade and the handle (the tang of the blade was not completely pressed in to the handle). I fixed this by putting it in a vice and carefully tapping on the handle. Four stars because this is Barfly's problem. Keep an eye out for this kind of thing, Jeff.

Wow, best ice breaker I've found
Barfly M37062 Ice Pick Chipper. It's more like an "ice fork". I have a few other ice chippers: an ice pick, an ice hammer, and an ice tapper. This is the only one that really works. I used an ice tapper for years and it did a good job until the metal ball broke off, then an ice hammer that just made a mess, and an ice pick that is just plain dangerous and not very effective, especially when it goes straight through the ice and into the table... This one breaks up clunks much better without ice flying everywhere, you don't need to hit the ice as hard, just a bit more strategically. You can still hit the ice with so much force that it shatters the ice and keeps going through the bag or to the table, but nowhere near as bad as an ice pick. I've only used it on frozen bags of store-bought ice cubes, not on a big block of ice, but there is a metal cap on the handle so you could pound it with a hammer if necessary.

Not that great Quality!
When I received the Ice Pick, I picked it up and the wooden handle was loose and not solid as it should be. This is terrible craftsmanship. So, I would advise anyone to buy a better Brand. I would NOT buy this product again. DON’T Waste your Money

Handle is for looks, not functionality
The wooden handle on the ice chipper has a strange taper that does not lend a confident grip when chipping ice. It's held on with a heavy metal base that screws onto the central shaft and makes it even more handle-heavy. I got a different brand of rubber-handled 6-prong ice chipper on here and it's much easier to use, albeit not as classy-looking.

Nasty sticker covering cracked handle
Item had a barcode sticker along one side of the wooden handle. When removed it revealed a crack in the wood. I won’t be doing business these people again.

El mejor picahielo del mundo.
Solo hay que manejarlo con mucho cuidado. Es fácil tener un accidente si no se maneja con cuidado y tenerlo siempre lejos de los niños. Es mucho más fuerte y afilado que un picahielos comun.

Muy buena calidad
Luego de usar este producto por varios meses, no he notado que tenga algún defecto. La calidad es muy buena y el acabado es bastante bueno. Es muy fácil de limpiar.
