READ IF YOUR GATE IS BENT!!
First off, the common issue a lot of folks are complaining about— TOTALLY understandable— was the bent and unaligned gate. I was frustrated with the bent gate too until I read the sign that says to not cut the zip tie until the gate is fully installed. It was too late by the time I read the sign but FEAR NOT! Your solution now is to find something to replace that original zip tie the gate came with so you can REbind the gate to the gate door. That is the ONLY way you’ll be able to proceed and correctly install your gate. I didn’t have another zip tie around to use so I used my 13” coated bungee cord (they come with a hook on each end of the cord). I wrapped it as tightly as I could around the bars of the gate (in the SAME place the original zip tie was tied around) and I used the hooks to hold the cord in place. Now remember that once you do that, the gate and door will not be automatically aligned JUST YET. That’s when the NEXT STEP comes in (written on the manual): Install the gate where you want it and begin to tighten it into the wall. You will notice that the more you tighten it into the wall as you spin those four circle shaped things at the 4 corners of the gate (I forgot what they’re called), the more you will notice the gate align with the gate door. You’re gonna have to turn those 4 circle things as tight as you can (you need muscle for this!). Once they’re as tight as they get, you should then have a perfectly aligned and straightened out gate that functions perfectly. Once that is achieved, you can then carefully remove your bungee cord (or whatever you used as the zip tie replacement. REMEMBER to PLEASE use a zip tie replacement that is JUST AS strong or STRONGER than the original zip tie or you might hurt yourself or damage something. My recommendations are to use a bungee cord or a thick and long zip tie like the original. I hope that helps you guys! Now my only complaint is that when I tried calling the manufacturer’s number to get help for the bent gate, my call went straight to voicemail which didn’t help since the mailbox was full so I couldn’t even get help from THAT. And my gate came a day late but ok. Other than that, the instructions on the manual were very clear and pretty easy to understand and there are not a lot of steps involved. It comes with pictures too so everything is easy to comprehend. Good luck y’all and spread the message so future buyers don’t stress over the bent gate and have this trick/advice to rely on!!

Its a great gate.
The first one i bought was clearly broken and amazon wasnt very helpful in replacing. But a little tight strap went a long way. Now i bought this one and see how sturdy it is and now i know for sure that the last one came broken.

Best baby gate i own
I have bought 3 different baby gates off amazon and this is by far the best you will get for your money. The ease of install is very nice. Only took me about 5 minutes to install where as the safety first baby gates i have took about 15 minutes. I also like how this baby gate is almost 100% metal so its the sturdiest of the 3 as well. It also is the only one of the 3 that has an auto close feature when the door isnt pushed all the way open too. This gate also swings both ways right out of the box (the safety first gate you have to mess with some plastic pieces to choose which way the door opens and they often fall down causing you to reset them). So far this easily blows every other baby gate ive used out of the water. I wish i would have bought all 3 of just this one, but now i can tell you all about it! Just avoid the safety first brand baby gate ($50 last time i checked).

One of the better designed products.
I needed a gate to stop my dog from getting in this room. The doorway was very narrow, only 26 inches. This gate fit just right and looks good. It was very easy to install and I didn't even have to drill anything to put it up. Great product and great price.

Works great, simple, and doesn’t look ugly.
Got this for a dog to avoid going up carpeted upstairs. Works great! I required the extension but easy to assemble. At first I had some difficulty turning the tightened, but took a rest, got some pliers, and for some reason, didn’t need the pliers the second round. No idea why. I did switch out the screws to other ends just so the turning would make more sense the way I was situated. But it worked with little effort. Hoping the padded ends won’t take off paint cut since we have to leave them there for the time being (and maybe forever), we’ll deal with it when it happens. It has withstood a lot of general abuse and learning curve to lift and pull the handle. Overall, very happy with it and would buy again.

Fantastic Sturdy but Easy to Use for child or dog
I was most pleased with this gate. They are usually not as strong or sturdy like this gate. Yet its so easy to use. It opens back or forth. This is a great gate to protect a child or keeping dogs out of an area.

Childproof, All metal, Sturdy (very safe) Safety Gate,
This item was quickly delivered. It is completely assembled and just needs the 2 adjustment knobs (on each side) tightened such that each side of the gate is firmly wedged against the wall such that the lock is in the correct position (photo 1). The opening of the gate requires a "child proof" 2 position maneuver (up and out) (Photo 2, upper and lower locks closed; photo 3 robust upper lock). The gate is also self-closing (photo 4)! The hinges are metal and are designed to "self-close" the gate (photo 5). This all metal "BalanceFrom" Safety Gate exceeded my expectations and was easily the best value for an excellent performing, sturdy, safety gate. Its heavy construction will protect several generations of grandchildren to come.

Perfect Gate!
The gate is exactly what I needed. It is very sturdy. I had to use the extended as my doorway is 34.5” & I found that without the extender it wouldn’t have been as sturdy. The extender almost made it too big for the the doorway which was frustrating but I got it to fit & I got it tightened enough so it works perfect. The instructions were super helpful. I am very happy with the gate & the price was perfect too!!

Can take on a toddler!
The gate was relatively easy to install, and allowed us to account for the difference in hallway width at the top (wall) and the bottom (baseboards), which other types of gates do not allow for. We have used this gate for over a year now, and it has been able to stay up while a toddler, a crawler/stander, and a dog all go after it. The latch is easy to open if you know how, but the grandparents can't seem to figure it out (every time... oy!). All in all, I would definitely recommend this product for your home!

Easy to install
Easy to install, sturdy and great looking. Glad we went with these gates (bought two) as they look great ,are easy to use and the automatic close is a nice feature. Would recommend for sure!
