A Very Good Bird Bath
I am very pleased with this bird bath. It fits on my cage easily and is quite secure. There is no leakage problems like I have had in some other bird baths, and it is large enough for my Fischer Lovebirds. This bird bath is an appropriate size for lovebirds, parakeets, finches, parrotlets, and canaries, but anything as large as a cockatiel or larger this bath would be too small. I am very happy with this product and my birds use it and seem secure and happy with it. It did take quite a while for my birds to start to use this bath - my birds, and maybe yours too, are VERY wary of anything new in their cage, and this bath was no exception. But after they got used to it, they use it frequently. I hope you find this review helpful. The reason I gave this bird bath 4 stars is because it is made completely of plastic - I would have liked some metal clips. I wanted to include here a recipe for a fresh diet that a breeder I highly respect gave me just to offer some advice to keep our pet birds healthier - it is not at all related this the product I have reviewed here but it could very well give you some great ideas to get fresh fruits and vegetables into your bird. All domestic birds, especially parrots, lovebirds, parrotlets, parakeets, canaries, finches, conures, etc, should have fresh fruit and vegetables and they can present a challenge to get them to eat them. Gives this recipe a try Here's a recipe that I make and it took some time for them to get used to it, but now my lovebirds and my parrotlets both eat this when provided. I give it in the morning and remove uneaten food in the evening. 1 apple cored and chopped 1/2 Cup chopped raw broccoli 1 Chopped bell pepper seed included 2 shredded carrots 1/2 Cup chopped greens (bok choy, mustard greens, kale and/or chard) 1/4 Cup frozen corn (can be eliminated if you put slices of raw corn on the cob in treat holders/clips in your cage - all my birds LOVE it and I have had 100% success getting them to eat this) 1/4 Cup frozen peas 1/2 Cup cooked rice (brown or GABA brown rice) 1/2 Cup cooked dried beans (they will need to be soaked overnight for 8 hours) A handful of blueberries, chopped cherries and chopped seedless grapes Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Place ingredients in an ice cube tray and freeze. Remove frozen cubes and place in plastic bags to store in freezer. Then you can take out the perfect portion on a daily basis . They say 1 cube per bird but you may bind that 1 cube will work well for a pair of birds of if smaller birds, even more. Instead of an ice cube tray I use slider freezer bags and press them flat after I fill them with enough of the mixture and this way I can easily break off appropriate sized pieces. This recipe is variable and you can switch out or add/delete ingredients that you have on hand or what you know your birds already like. This recipe is in ADDITION to their regular diet of pellets and seeds and not a substitute.

A Big Hit!
I wanted a bird bath that wouldn't make a mess. I liked that this one had a smaller opening than other models so water would be less likely to splash out. Some other reviewers dislike the color I see, but I actually like it. I have a natural setting style bird cage intended to look like a woodsy habitat so this muted color was perfect. Clear enough to see the bird but shaded for some privacy/feeling of safety for the bird. There's a panel that slides on to the top of this unit and you slide it up and under the bars on top using the enclosed panel and then set it in the doorway using the bottom nub as a catch. This doesn't seem very secure to me, yet it seems to sit still and hasn't moved yet, so I may be wrong. My bird is tiny but a larger bird could possibly knock it off the cage if they do a lot of moving around but I'm not sure if that would be the case. So I added water and set it up and waited. Within 20 minutes my bird decided to check it out and jumped right in and took a bath. I really wasn't sure if she'd use it so I am thrilled. Because she's small and has to climb in she doesn't use it as a drinking dish which is great - she opts for her more convenient water dish. I would prefer it to attach more securely to the cage, but on the flip side this also makes it easy to remove to clean and refresh without spilling. I'm so glad I got this, I had no idea how much my bird would appreciate it. I call it her "Spa".

My canaries love it
My canaries love this bath. Do not put more water then half inch depth, if canary cannot reach with her beak the bottom the bath throughout the water - she will be scare to go in, so put just a little bit of water and see how canary will enjoy bathing in it.

Simple to use
Can also be used to as extra large seed dish, that contains the mess well.

So happy with it, I bought another when I accidentally broke the first.
I love this bird bath. Having had several in the past, I place it in the top two, edging toward first place. It is extremely easy to use and fits the cage well. The pieces snap together firmly and there is no worry about it falling apart. My present bird is still thinking about using it as a bath, but has entered it many times, playing with the inside walls and ceiling instead of bathing: He should be getting the idea soon. This is actually the second one I've bought. I broke the first one after a few weeks by accidentally dropping it on a tile floor. Oops. It definitely survived the impact but one of the joints was loose and I wasn't going to risk it. I liked it so much, I made sure to buy the same product as a replacement.

Best bird bath
I've used one that looked just like this in the past and loved it. But when I got new birds could no longer find this style in the stores so I purchased one that looked similar but it wouldn't stay together and was so shallow that the water kept spilling out from slightly moving the cage. I was happy to find this on amazon and hoped it would be what I was looking for. I am happy to say that it is great. It stays together, is deep enough that the birds can enjoy it and fits nicely on the cage door. I'm very happy with it.
