Hits the Baby Jogger Standard

Really love our Baby Jogger City Select so I opted for the Summit X3 Started running with a 2008 Bob revolution. Couldn’t get the smell out of the seat and purchased the Summit X3 on Black Friday special. Great price! Super easy to put together. My little one seems to enjoy it. Holds the good quality of Baby Jogger and has additional accessories available. The canopy is really awesome and provides pretty good shade and protection while keeping an eye on the little one. Not as sturdy as the Bob. The handle is the standard Baby Jogger rubber handle. I’m not a fan of the Baby Jogger parent console. So I did opt for the Bob parent console, which is amazing, and comes with a tire pump. When running in sprinkling or wet road conditions, the tires do kick up water so the under carriage gets wet. Also not a fan of the Chicco car seat adapter. You have to remove the canopy and recline the seat, so it’s not a seamless transition. Reclining the seat is a little tricky and can get stuck on the safety warning that’s on the reclining straps. Love the belly bar, and the snack tray is great for older toddler/child as it sits higher. Overall, I enjoy this stroller and would give it a solid 4/5 as I feel the main drawbacks are in comparison to a Bob. Great for Babies 10+ months and city runners.

Fits city elite

Wish it came with a drink holder and snack tray and it wasn’t extra. I got the stroller second hand so I’m not sure if it’s usually sold with the stroller or not! For a belly bar it’s good and clicks right into the city elite.

Worth it for a toddler

Was on the fence about ordering one of these... but my toddler was starting to hate being in the stroller, and I was starting to regret buying a city mini... why don’t the make it more upright???? Anyway, I was about to sell my city mini and find something with a better seat, but thought I’d give this a go first... and I’m happy I did. My 18 month old now sits upright, points out things and turns around to look up at me. He is much happier and loves the stroller again! Still think baby jogger need to redesign the city mini as it’s far to reclined, but this bar does help. NB: as one reviewer suggested we no longer use the shoulder straps, just buckle around the waist. Taking one star off because it really should be included w the stroller and not an acessory item.

Should've Been Included with Stroller

I know this isn't exclusive to this one company but hate that Baby Jogger makes you buy every single little accessory, when this really should've been included with the stroller (hence the 4 star rating). Once my baby started sitting up more, this bar was necessary for her to hold onto since the stroller seat is reclined too much even in highest position. I like that it is padded and just the right diameter for her little hands to grasp onto, but really, $30+ for a belly bar? *groan*

Great accessory

Product is just as described. I ordered this and the tray and this one is preferred by me and my LO. She is 9 months and this fits at a much better height. She can easily pull up to it and gives her a better sitting position when we are using turn stroller as a seat at outside events (i.e. not walking or strolling). It has a cover in it that seems like it would wipe clean easily. Can’t say for certain nor can I say how long this would holdup to a kid. What I disliked was folding the stroller with the bar attached. I wish this came with the stroller and didn’t have to be a separate purchase. I

Necessary to pay extra to make the stroller useable

Our one year old needed too have this to make the Citi mini gt a useable stroller. Like most other strollers we tried, most really don't let the baby sit up. This was a necessary purchase to have the expensive stroller be something the baby would tolerate being put in to. Should come with the stroller in my opinion, but guess everyone wants to make extra money.

Awesome product!

I love this product! It is adjustable which is a nice feature. My 9 month old likes to sit forward and this gives her something to hold onto + somewhere to tether her toys. Another feature I love about this product is that the casing of the bar comes off for easy cleaning - it just zips off!! Others stated the stroller becomes too bulky when folded if the bar is attached, I did not find this to be the case. I was able to fold my City Mini up without hassle and fit it in the (tiny) trunk of my Honda Civic.

My baby loves it.

I got this belly bar because I thought my just-turned-one year old would like to hold on to that while going for a stroll. And she does. She loves sitting up and holding on to the bar to get a better view and when she's feeling lazy she likes to lay back and put her feet up on the bar. It fit my citi mini gt perfectly. Is easy to wipe clean and is durable.

Splendid addition, but very expensive!

Had to contact the company as my stroller is an old model, but their advice was excellent and I was then able to order exactly the right belly-bar to fit it. It does exactly what it should, even though it's a bit stiff to remove. Tempting to use it to lift the folded stroller but it's not meant to carry any weight so don't fall into the trap!! Disappointing that these bars aren't supplied with the strollers, but are sold as "extras". What a money-spinning trick to play on new parents!

Does the job

It's a bar and it works. It has two angles so is adjustable. It sits quite high on the buggy but you can see that before putting it on based on the position of the holes for it It's currently used to prop little feet up but as she ages she will be able to hold it better

A massive bad point about this pram is that the babies sit very slumped. I worry about it affecting posture. With this bar my daughter sits up in the pram (I dont tie the top straps but I think this is against manufacturer advise). She is mush happier in it as she sits forward and I think feels more secure in it.

Worth buying

Very quick delivery, we're very happy with our purchase. Our son likes holding the bar while on walks and he has a better view what's going on around him. The only thing is, when we want to open the bar for him to leave the buggy, we have to remove the whole bar. But he started sliding under the bar to leave the buggy and he isn't bothered at all. He's happy so still 5 stars. PS. It gives more space in the buggy than the tray, it's better for older and bigger children.
