For Babies only

The pics make it seem like kids will have a blast, but it’s weak and boring. Not meant for older kids. You’ll have better luck with a garden sprinkler instead. This is cute, but completely designed for very small children who will get excited with the least amount of pressure and water. It spins slow and the water pressure is basically for babies entertainment, not older kids. We ended up putting it away and my 2 and 6 yr old played with the garden sprinkler instead since it was powerful and way more fun. We also had issues connecting the water hose and had to use the other parts that came with it to make it fit and not leak.

A couple flaws make this pretty disappointing

I was really excited about this sprinkler and after buying it for Christmas, it FINALLY warmed up enough to try it out! It's super adorable, which is why I gave it as many stars as I did. But it has some pretty bad problems. There's a little hose on the bottom side of this that will slip out and if it does, the sprinkler does a whole lot of nothing good. I can't really see any good way to fix that part. Then the piece that the garden hose attaches to leaks like mad where it meets the body of the sprinkler. I'm really bummed about this because other than those two things, it's built pretty heavy duty and it's so cute! But those parts that they seemingly cut corners on the quality control kinda make the whole sprinkler just "meh." I really wanted to love it and I'm bummed that I can't!

Not worth it

I had hoped this would be a fun outside toy for my kids but it makes more of a mess than anything. We have tried multiple ways to keep water from shooting out of the connectors but nothing has worked. The areas circled in the photos attached are where profuse amounts of water squirt out. This causes less pressure to the sprinkler so it does not work properly. We’ve added tape to help seal this better but it still shoots out from the little blue tabs on the connectors. This was not worth the money and we will not be continuing to use it. It causes muddy areas in the yard due to the excess water coming from the side.

Really cute item....too bad it doesn't work correctly.

Really cute but could not get the water to come out correctly. After looking at other reviews, put 3 washers in where the hose connects and still has water spraying out the hose connection.

Unique and fun product! :) But requires an easy fix :/

It’s a unique and fun product that except for one thing looks well built with high quality materials. I would have given it 5 stars if the hose attachment was better designed or if it had come with enough hose washers to prevent spraying/leaking from the hose attachment. However if you’re buying this product or already bought this product you can easily make it work! I suggest buying some hose washers from a hardware store (see pic). You still need to use the hose adapter included with it. Then you have to add at least one hose washer to the adapter and at least one hose washer to the attachment in the unit itself. Add enough washers to cover the slits you see inside the hose attachment and adapter. The manufacturer should either include more washers or redesign the hose attachment to reduce the length of the stress relief slits in it. If you’re a handy customer like me then this isn’t a big deal but other consumers might not feel this way and not buy this product. I strongly recommend a product update.

Not worth your money

Well, it did what I wanted it to initially; the hat on the whale spins, and the fish go around in a circle, although slower than I anticipated. But it lasted all of 3 months before the connector cracked and broke. Only used it somewhere between 5-10 times, didn't leave it out in the sun/yard between uses either. Disappointed in the product.

Disappointed ☹️

Wish this worked as well as I’d hoped. It’s so cute and my daughter loved the fish as soon as we pulled it out of the box. However it doesn’t work properly. Most of the water shoots out between the connector to the sprinkler and the actual sprinkler. Will try some gaskets before we return.

Disappointed

Poor poor quality

This is the second sprinkler of this type we bought. I thought the first possibly had a defect and didn’t work well but the second one was just as bad. Their is hardly any pressure coming out of the sprinkler and after the second use the attachment piece from the sprinkler to the hose broke off. Poor poor quality.

Really poor design

I purchased 3 of these for gifts, they were at an amazing price so I felt I couldn’t miss out !! I really should have looked at the negative reviews, whatever you do with this sprinkler it is REALLY disappointing, I love a B toy, I have never been disappointed with one, ever ! Well this looks a gorgeous toy, same quality as all the others, beautifully made, stunning to look at, the disappointment on my grandchildren’s face was really sad to see, they took it home ( we blamed our water pressure ) it wasn’t much better at their house. I will not give the others out as gifts, sad really but I wouldn’t recommend buying this for the garden as it isn’t much fun.

Leaky sprinkler

This sprinkler looks great but doesn’t work well. It doesn’t shoot water very high and the majority of the water comes out of the hose attachment. I put them on correctly and they have the rubber rings to lock hose into place and prevent water leaking. Not a good sprinkler.

Hugely dissappointed

Seriously disappointed with this item. We have always had this from Battat and always found the quality of the product to be excellent, but this just did not deliver. My found that no matter what we did the sprinkler did not sprinkle. It merely trickled. I’ve read other reviews where people said that they had pressure issues etc, but it just did not give the desired effect. An absolute waste of money. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Disappointing

This b toys whirly whale sprinkler looks the part and feels quite sturdy and well made. It spins round and has lots of fun looking small colourful whales that have blow holes that water cones out of. The sprinkler connects up to a hose pipe and it is a relatively small unit. We found it a bit underwhelming and disappointing. It leaks a lot and the water that jets out is in very small amounts and weak. This would be better suited to a baby/toddler than older children.
