Nice shorts but run small
I was excited to find a pair of running shorts in youth sizes for my middle schooler to use for his cross country meets. The style of the shorts is really nice. However they run pretty small. I brought my son the normal size he wears and we had to return them right away. They work small in the waist and uncomfortable.

Cut like a running short, but fabric is a bit heavy
I bought a couple of pairs of these for my sons to run with me. I like the cut and size--they are cut like running shorts, perhaps just a tad longer than some adult running shorts which I liked. I think they have been very comfortable and in the hot weather, shorter running style shorts are MUCH better to run in than the knee-length basketball style athletic shorts. My only complaint is that the fabric is a bit thick. I would like some kids running shorts in a lighter, more wicking fabric. These are the same fabric you would find in the basketball style athletic shorts. But my kids have liked them a lot and the sizing is right on.

Perfect Shorts
I was a bit wary of the fabric being too heavy because of the pictures but I was proved wrong. These shorts are perfect. Good cut for running and nice and loose, great material that was much lighter then what the pictures looked like, and the built in underwear is comfortable and secure. Im 5'3" and 110 Lbs and the larges fit perfectly.

Good running shorts for kids.
We got a few of these for our older son for XC. He outgrew them a year later so we bought a bigger size. The younger son is very happy to take the hand-me-downs. Hold up well to west and washing.

Nice loose fitting short for running
Sizing is always the biggest concern so hopefully this helps.. My son is 13, 5'9 115lbs with about a 26" waist.. The youth large we ordered fits him good. They're short (but not nearly as short as a lot of track shorts you might get as part of a school's track jersey). Still, they're loose fitting in the leg with a runners underwear liner inside.. perfect for track meets.

If you purchase these for anything other than running then you may not like the length
I purchased these for my son for cross country. They are well made and fit the way they should. They are a thin lightweight material. I want to reassure potential buyers that these are not as short as other reviews make them sound. They are running shorts. They are supposed to ride higher up on the thigh area in order to allow runners a broader range of motion when they stride. If you purchase these for anything other than running then you may not like the length. But they work perfectly for what they are indented to do.

Cross country shorts
These are running shorts. Shorter than the normal boys sports short. Shorter running shorts seem so hard to find so I was pleased to find these. And these were perfect. Light, well made, washed well. Colour and size as expected. Very happy with my purchase.
