Great machune.

I've ownwd Hoovers, Bissels. Sharks and Dysons, this Bissell is probably the best I've owned. To address some criticisms....If you know it's going to bang into the wall and chip the drywall don't drag it room to room. pick it up. For those who feel 18 ponds is heavy, compared to the vacuums of the 60's and 70's...it is not. Yes the main wand falls off from time to time, just make sure it's lined up right and push HARD! No issue that the attachments don't have on-board storage..I have a closet. It needs some maintenance for sure, especially rinsing out the 3 filters and you will have to unblock the entrance into the dustbin from time to time, but minor gripes for the power and function of this machine. Definitely a big bang for the buck.

After 6 months, regret

It just feels kind of cheap and weighted wrong. The part you move across the carpet to vacuum (I just looked it up, Floor Tool) is really lightweight and feels like a toy. The body of the vacuum has a weird shape that looks like it wouldn't get stuck on corners but it does, all the time. I drag it by the hose to bring it closer and the entire thing is heavy and clumsy. I prefer the feel and power of having a more substantial Floor Tool that feels heavy and the suction is smooth and strong. I wish the body canister part was somehow shaped better so it doesn't flip over or wildly go in the wrong direction when I pull on the hose to bring it closer. Overall, does anyone want to buy my 6 month old vacuum for 50% what I paid?!

Great vacuum for hardwood floors

I have had more vacuums than I can count over the last 20 years and I have to say so far this is my fav. Ive had it two months and use it almost daily. I think it has great suction, it’s easy to move around and I don’t have to empty the canister as much as I did others. So far no smell or dust which was always a big issues of mine w/others. I only wish it came with another bigger head attachment for carpets. The one included is great for hardwood though which is what we mostly have. I highly recommend if you do have hardwood but probably not so much for carpets.

Extremely heavy

I am a professional house cleaner. This vacuum has amazing suction, large canister and the longest cord I've ever had on a vac. A few bad things. The clip to extend the pole has broke off and I've used it a week. This vacuum is extremely heavy, bangs into corner of walls and nearly takes off drywall. Hard to pull behind you as it's heavy and with the cord being so long it gets caught in the wheel. For almost $264 I paid for this, I feel like parts shouldn't be breaking already.

Great suction

Pros: Great suction; long power cord and hose, which is very hard to find; easy to empty dust bin; floor brush goes under most of my furniture. Cons: The floor bush has extremely short bristles and they are not very soft, so I'm not crazy about using it on my hardwood floors; there is no on board carrier for the dust and crevice brushes, so that's very inconvenient; does not roll as well as I expected, but it's not bad enough to be a deal breaker. Overall, I like the vac.

cleans hard surface floors like a charm!

Very very satisfied with my vacuum! I bought it on a Saturday and it arrived to me in Hawaii by Tuesday and I could not believe how fast it arrived!!!! I made sure to do a lot of research before I bought something just for hard surface floors and after I tried it for the first time, I was blown away!! And another thing is how well it cleans my hard surface floors, from vinyl wood floors to tile, it picks up hair, dust and fine particles like nothing! My feet can detect easily when my floor is dusty or sandy and I am very happy and my feet feels very happy too when I'm done vacuuming! thank you Bissell!

really a great vacuum!

i am older plus disabled and needed something more lightweight to drag around and this vacuum is really great. the hose is very long, so i can vacuum usually with vacuum in same place and when i do have to move it, it is very easy to do. and the suction is awesome! i have lightweight carpeting, so can vacuum quite easily but do have a heavier carpet in one of the bedrooms. i just set the suction power lower and it does the job. really a great vacuum!
