It absolutely does not kink!

I have a large lot and a lot of shrubs, trees and flowers to water in the heat of Florida. This hose makes that job a whole lot easier!

This hose is kinky

It is advertised as "Kink + Twist Free" but my hose definitely twists and kinks. I like the color (it matches the Aqua Joe sprinklers I purchased for the garden), but it is a pain to drag from the hose hook-up to the chicken coop when it's time to clean and re-fill their water. I must stop and untwist and un-kink several times before the whole 50 feet is extended. I don't know how durable it will be because of this problem...only time will tell. I like how easy it is to hook up to the faucet and add the hose sprayer. The connections are well made and should outlast the hose. I gave this hose a four-star rating based on the other "Joe" products I have purchased. If not for the problem with the kinking and twisting I would have given it a 5-star rating.

Does the job well

So far, this hose seems to do the job it's intended for. I would say it has a slightly above average tendency to kink, and I sense that it may not be as durable as the "old-fashioned" rubber hose that I used for many years and replaced. The couplings may be the weakest part of the product. Pulling it around the yard can be a bit ungainly, though I'm not quite sure why. It almost feels as if it has a mind of its own at times. That said, I like the color, and it really puts out the water, which I appreciate. Longevity remains to be seen.

Great hose

Great hose for a good price. It’s well made and sturdy, while being flexible, which is important. I have another non-kinking hose that is so stiff and heavy, I never use it. This Aqua Joe hose is perfect. Lightweight and very flexible. I don’t understand the complaints from people about kinking. Since hoses are packaged and stored wound up, they can take on that shape. But with this hose, because the material is soft and flexible, if you unroll the hose, it lays out perfectly smooth. And it does not kink. If people are just pulling on it without rolling it out, I guess they could create kinks, like you could with anything. Believe me, I’ve had kinking hoses and this is not one. This is the best hose I’ve ever had. And the fact that it’s a drinking water safe makes it that much better.

After hose blew apart company shipped new one free of charge. Great company

Hose end blew off. Contacted company they couldn’t find my registration Customer service reregistered me and said replacement would follow after replacement was located. WRONG. Next email telling me to register or me complaint would’ve dropped. Registered 3 times. I’ll report back if hose is made good. But not looking like it Yes I own two of them. Fingers crossed. Damaged hose replace by company thank you. New hose arrived from company working great.

Ok, but not worth the trouble

I purchased this hose 7 months ago, and I have used it three to four times a week since then. The hose does kink, maybe not as easily as other hoses, but it absolutely does. There is also a stiffness to the hose, and that seems to make the hose want to coil up on itself. If I put any tension on one of those loops or coils the hose will kink easily. The surface of the hose is also slightly tacky which helps it grab itself and knot up when I am rolling it up. If you have a hose reel that may not be a problem, but I need to move my hoses around. Those drawbacks make it much harder to roll up than any of my other hoses. I will say that the fittings seem nice on the hose, and it has held up well under all of the use. However, in my case, there are more drawbacks than benefits so I wouldn't buy another one.

Lightweight still kinks

Light weight nice feel to it. I can tell the metal inlets are sturdy. I still get kinks. The blue material on the our side seemed to twist or bubble after I dragged past a corner? Hose integrity is still there but the jacket is not as strong as expeected.

works great, almost

without a brass fitting it seems to leak no matter what you do. I tried to change the o ring but that didn't help either. if you roll out the hose before using then you get no kinks and stays flexible. if this hose had a brass fittings at both ends then it would be a 5 star

Flexible

After wrestling with a poor quality hose, I read reviews and lucked out finding Aqua Joe. An excellent quality garden hose. Flexible and durable, with none of the worry about cracking or curling.
