Very easy to install.
I almost returned this back to Amazon after reading the negative reviews. I decided to keep it since it’s not made of plastic. I has this installed in probably less than 5 minutes. This includes all screws in place and secure. I put on gloves and using both hands pre formed the funnel smaller than my 30 gallon barrel. Once I had it in place I simply let loose of it carefully lining it up to a perfect fit. I used the predrilled holes and screwed the funnel together. Next I screwed the flanges to the side of the barrel. The fit of this funnel is very tight. No gapping cracks for corn to go in. I didn’t screw the funnel together first and then try to insert it in down in the barrel as I thought it probably wouldn”t be a good fit.. No screws in my package but I had replacements. Definitely be buying more.

Didn’t fit the barrel. 30 gallon.
The 30 (smaller setting) didn’t fit the barrel . I had to Jerry rig it.

Know which barrel size you have- metric or standard! Works great for standard as is.
I see some negative reviews so I want to make sure people are aware there is a standard 55 gallon drum and a metric one that is slightly thinner and taller. This will fit either, but you will have to drill new holes for the metric one! This fits a standard 55 gallon drum perfectly. It's cheap, ships flat, includes screws, and has little tabs and self tapping screws to hold it in place. I don't know what else you could ask for for $19. Amazon double boxed it in a big box, so I didn't have problems with it being bent like some others. I plan on buying more for additional feeders that I make. I have used the spun filters before which are more expensive, and I prefer this one because the width is adjustable to any barrel.

Not worth the hassle
The amount of time it took to trim it for the 30 gallon barrel, bend the edges so they lined up, and struggle to get it screwed in for it not to fully fit without gaps where food could get through was not worth it if you’re a novice like me. I ended up buying the plastic moultrie funnel that slides in perfectly. Obviously, most people have success with this but be warned if you don’t want to deal with the hassle, just spend the extra money on the plastic one made for it.

Not sure of complaints
Takes 5 minutes to put together if you're smart and safe. If you're working with/bending thin sheet metal shouldn't you be careful or wear gloves to prevent injury? I took 5 minutes without gloves to ensure i don't slice myself. If you have gloves or a brain, you should be ok.

Putting one in all my feeders now.
This device is great. No more corn sitting in the bottom of my feeder like before. Only warning is that the edges are sharp. Be careful when fitting it to your feeders that you don't slice your hand or arm on it. I'll stick to trash can feeders now that I won't have 10 pounds of corn sitting in the bottom around the hole all the time.

Just buy the plastic one!
It was between this one and the plastic funnel. I figured hell this one is steel let's go with this one. It is not easy to get to fit right. If you dont slide it in perfectly the first time you will damage and bend it up getting it out. Had to literally hammer all the bent parts back once I had it set with screws. Speaking of screws, they pop put the side of the drum. Yeah it's out in the woods itll get beat up,I get that it's not a beauty contest, but those 4 screws sticking out are just ready to stick you when you forget about them, and it looks like crap. Not to mention when you actually transport the barrel to your property. Possibility of damaging the screws are high, and there goes your support for the funnel. Go ahead and not notice, pour your corn in and realize the funnel lost center and dosent line up to your motor. Now scoop out all the corn, run back to town and get more screws for repair. Theres no way you will line up the holes you drilled the first time so drill some more and figure out a way to seal up the previous holes. Ridiculous. Buy the plastic one and save on the frustration
