Stellar sound and stunning looks.
Visuals: 10/10 very classy and retro! Max volume: 6/10 but I don’t play my music super loud anyway. Treble: 9/10 very good, clear, and adjustable. Very clean and clear sound! Mids: 7/10 decent but I think my Denon Envaya wins in this level. Bass: 4/10 adjustable but with a low limit of 60hz, you’re not going to hear feel your bass thumping through your bones lol and certainly won’t hear any very low bass. Decent for casual listening, but not for those who are like “Bass or bust!” Using EQ on apps helps more then just turning up the bass dial. Overall sound for this size speaker: 8/10 Despite the weakness in bass, this speaker sounds superb and high end, and you will hear all the lovely details of your music. It also has amazing surround effects and is basically a 360 degree speaker. Battery: haven’t tested it but it seems decent and charges fairly fast. Connectivity: Bluetooth has no problems and works perfectly. Who this is for: people who want a nice, classy small speaker that sounds good from all angles.

This Little Speaker is Seriously Impressive
Pros: - Sound quality is the best in it's class. This speaker has lots of depth and is rich, immersive and crystal clear. I find that when I listen to this speaker about a foot or two away on my desk, it sounds so, so rich - especially with low-fi songs. The 360-sound effect creates a very immersive stereo effect. You learn to appreciate and notice it with more usage. Overall, I enjoy how this speaker sounds with most genres - especially genres with clear instrumentals and vocals. This is clearly not a giant bass monster due to its size, but the depth and richness in the bass is surprising, especially when set up about a foot away from a wall. Overall, I would give the sound quality a 10/10 compared to the many other speakers I have tested in the past (Sony, JBL, etc..). This may not be the loudest speaker for the price, but it is definitely the most hi-fi when compared to the other mono-sounding options. Personally, I find that it gets VERY loud for casual listening. Nonetheless, the sound that comes out of this little speaker is trippy. it gives off the impression (mainly when it's close to you) that you're listening to a large, rich speaker. It's also worth mentioning that the quality is retained even in lower volumes. - Design. Easily the most beautiful bluetooth speaker I've had. Made from nothing but premium materials and it looks beautiful. Not much else to say here. It's also really tiny which makes it more adorable and portable. Perfect for picnics. - Battery life. As I mentioned earlier, this thing gets plenty loud. I usually play music at around 30% on this speaker and find that it is plenty loud for casual listening. Most people may opt for 50% while around the house. Regardless, the battery life is insanely good. This efficiency in battery life has to do with the type of amplifier this speaker is. Cons: - Hmm... I can't really think of any. I feel that it is priced fairly. While you can buy slightly bigger, more powerful speakers, they will simply lack the depth and richness in sound coming from this little thing. This is more of a high-quality listening experience compared to the "boominess" of larger speakers that feel like the sound is being muddled through some sort of barrier. Point is, anything below the retail price is a steal for this awesome speaker. Overall, this is such an awesome and special little speaker. It's hard to compare because it's very distinct in it's own unique way when you factor in the crazy 360 audio + amazing clarity and richness in bass. They really nailed this one.

Good Sounds, Smart Power Usage
This little powerhouse is really perfect for my needs. It's plenty loud and works great when I'm multitasking. For example I can listen to audiobooks while I'm gaming. It's big enough not to sound cheesy but small enough to pack into my small carryon. It smartly powers down when not used even if I forget to physically turn it off. It pairs swiftly without fiddling and emits a cool guitar sound when it does. Nicely done.

#1 in my homegrown Head-to-Head Comparefest
Was nervous picking this up at first, because all the reviews seemed to be from reviewers who got the product for free. Not that their reviews weren't accurate, but I was tentative to buy a Bluetooth speaker at this price, and knowing whether the performance would justify the cost was a big part of the buying decision for me. Well, long story short, I tested this speaker against a handful of other highly-regarded Buletooth speakers in the $50-75 range, just to be sure that the Stockwell's price tag wasn't based on branding alone, and I ended up satisfied with the results. The Stockwell II isn't a perfect speaker -- it does drop off more low-end base than some speakers with "boomier" designs, and it may not get quite as loud as some others at the very top of the volume dial, but the one thing it does do well, is sound good across virtually every source & listening scenario. Every time I thought I had found a song or sample that proved another contender could top the Stockwell II for less cash, I found there was a caveat... For example, the Archeer A320 produced better bass at low-to-mid volumes, but its midrange was muddier across the board. I realized after more research that the Archeer adds some artificial bass boost on the low-end that sounds good in some cases, but extended into the low-mid range, cluttering up some intstrumentals and giving voices a weird "overboosted aftereffect" vibe. Meanwhile, at higher volumes, the Stockwell produces enough thump to be heard, while remaining noticably tighter than the others. Along the same lines, speakers that could get louder than the Stockwell usually ended up sounding crushed, or with a buzzy sound either from the processing or the drivers themselves, that didn't really produce a better experience than the Stockwell at max volume, which holds together pretty well, and is loud enough for an outdoor gathering of all but the most chaotic kind! (If you're trying to outdo a kids' pool party or a rowdy family barbecue, you might need more than 1 portable Bluetooth speaker in the first place!) Anyway, I'm writing this review for people like me, who are intrigued by the Stockwell II, but have doubts about the price. I'm going to be returning or gifting the other 4 speakers I tested this against, and happily rolling with the Stockwell for the foreseeable. If you have incredible particular musical tastes, e.g. you listen to 99% EDM and hip-hop. there might be a more aggressive speaker that fits your expectations. But versus all that I threw at the speakers in my home-grown "2019 Bluetooth Speaker head-to-head," be it acoustic guitar tracks, Jazz, Rock, Metal, or podcasts and YouTube movies or music, the Marshall gave everything the most natural, i.e. "live" impression. There may be competitor speakers that outdo the Stockwell -- I don't run an audio review site nor have the time to continue testing alternatives for weeks on end. But I came away mightly impressed with this little speaker (which, it should be noted is arguably more portable than many of the other large-ish "pro" quality BT competitors in its price range.) While I'm sure I could find an even better option at twice the price or size, I could never get the Stockwell II to sound *bad* -- more than could be said for some of the others I tried -- and it often sounded surprisingly clear. Rarely do I make such an effort to review something online, but I didn't want all my time & effort on this little side-project to go to waste. :) Hope it helps someone else out there evaluating their options for a high-quality Bluetooth speaker to pair with a phone, tablet, or laptop, that's still easy to port around.

NOT loud enough
I think for this size it should be able to go louder- even for a small nyc apt -- but 4get it when u bring to a larger beach house or outside- better off maybe with headphones unless u don't love it loud ;)

Stockwell II (Volume & Bass) Not good enough for the price (£219). Great Sound quality otherwise!
Ok now when it comes to audio I really like it when manufacturers surprise you with a little speaker that does wonders, I was kind of expecting that WoW factor here but this Speaker wasn't as impressive in terms of volume and fullness, BUT! what it lacks in these areas it makes up with a rather unique audio experience. Here are my thoughts. Packaging: Packaging was great, came in a nice box well protected on the inside. Accessories: In the box you get a USB C for charging the speaker, which is quite good as this is set for the future. you also get the manual and safety & warranty sheets. Speaker Build quality: The speaker has a really great build quality, it feels quite premium with a slight rubberised feel which I love. I think the toughness can really take a beating, so durability is not an issue here. Key Features and functionality: Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity was great with audio and video sync in movies from Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube. I also didn't have issues with distance or weak signal cracking around my small apartment, signal bonding was good. Volume & EQ Knobs are a joy!!, no need for an app to adjust EQ you can make little adjustment to better tune your music, the EQ really makes a difference but! dont expect worlds of difference here, they only boost and cut the Bass and Treble of your song. Battery level indicator was nicely done, in good visible area right at the top, battery life is excellent been using it for days off and on without a recharge. The Bluetooth button had me wondering how it works ????, I thought you need to press it once for activation, but you are meant to press & hold for a few seconds to go into paring mode ????oh me lol, I never read manual first. Could not test the water resistance, was too scared ????. Sound Quality: Sound quality is really great, the sound signature is that of an 'open clear sound', the speaker adds some kind of reverb/delay effect to your music, very subtle but cleverly done. its like the effect is only affecting the mid-range and a bit of the highs, so it targets mostly vocals and solo instruments like trumpets and sax or lead guitars. This is quite unique and new as I haven't heard this well executed in a speaker. Sony tried something like this in their SRS XB 40 and 41 with the "LIVE" sound but in my opinion it was bad, but these guys manage to pull it off here. its not all perfect here tho! some songs actually suffer harm from this effect in my opinion, and since you can't turn it off that particular song will always sound weird every time it plays ????, a control knob would have been great to adjust that effect to taste. The speaker is not a 360 speaker but it sure gives 360 speakers a good wake up call. the sound at the back is almost the same as the front just a little less shimmering, also great sound all around the speaker from all angles. Treble: The treble on this speaker is really good the clarity is awesome and Crystal. Mids: Mid range definition is also really great, the bass doesn't drone out the mids, the vocals are clear, even some nuances are heard clearly. BASS: now this is were we pack our bags and leave the show, this speaker is simply not a bass speaker or one for small parties. it is just about ok for a small room or low to average level listening. it lacks resonating low end, causing the music to feel a bit empty sometimes, this is more evident in Hip hop, Pop some EDM music with some 808 kick. However I found that backing the speaker to the coner of a wall will give a reasonable bass boost and some fullness, however there is no hope for the outdoors with that technique. other genres like smooth jazz, classical, funky and surprisingly some EDM with heavily compressed kicks actually sounds really good on here so its a hit and miss with the bass. keep in mind it has a small body too. Volume Level & Loudness: usually some speakers with weak bass at low levels will often resonate a bit better at higher volume levels, but this speaker will max out at about 80% in my opinion, if you go above that then the internal limiters will start to mess with the music which is just unpleasant to hear, and you end up turning the dials back down, and even at 80% the loudness is still not as majority of small body cheaper speakers on the market and this might be the surprising factor that may break the deal for some. Conclusion: Now the Stockwell 2's unique sound experience definitely has a place in the market but I think the price (at £219.99) is a bit much for what the speaker offers in general (as just a Bluetooth only speaker). The next point of action would be to look to the bigger brothers, the Killburn 2 and the Tufton, but seeing that the price of the Kilburn II is too close to the Stockwell 2 makes me to question the performance of the Kilburn II as well, I think the Tufton might be good to try since its all round bigger. bottom line: if you want to occasionally crank the volume to get people moving and feel the beat then just look elsewhere as this speaker will disappoint you. BUT! if you are after a really awesome sound experience and dont mind always listening at Low or average comfortable levels with decent bass, super compact form for travel, excellent battery life then this speaker is awesome for that. Hope this helps!

Outstanding sound for the size, but with a major flaw with the audio input
The media could not be loaded. I didn't end up keeping this speaker and have actually been without it for quite some time now. I wrote an extremely long and detailed review and then wondered where i would put it. It was too long and detailed for amazon really. So I have decided to cut it down somewhat but still go into detail about the speaker. Still is very long so those wanting to know more about the sound, go into that rather than the issues further down. Most of my impressions on the sound are very good. I will start off with the negative that made me return it. There is unfortunately a lot of things that are not good about my experience. Now a lot of people will just use bluetooth and not the 3.5mm input. But when you spend this much on a blutooth speaker, I would consider it poor not to have the ability to connect devices this way. As when you have a speaker sound this good, it is always as good or better to use a cable rather than bluetooth so long as you find it practical enough. The issue is that the speaker always goes into what seems a sleep mode when a cable is connected to this input. It does this in under 2 seconds of no audio playing. Then often takes over a second to wake up again. This results in it virtually always skipping the beginning of tracks off. If they begin with lyrics, well you miss the first few words. This is an unacceptable flaw for a speaker of this price. I thought it was a fault with mine so I returned it and got another. It had the same issue. I also went into PC world to try their one on display and it is exactly the same. I am really surprised nobody else or the professional reviews have mentioned this. Not that many would use this speaker for audiobooks or radio, but it would basically be unusable via the 3.5mm input. Every time there is silence for over 2 seconds, you will almost certainly miss the next word or two. Really poor. No other blutooth speaker I have tested out in a store or have owned has had this problem. I contacted Marshall trying to explain just how much it would change my view on this speaker if they sorted it out. I just can’t accept it for such a premium speaker. It will be a simple fix, but would obviously cost them money to start producing them all and having to sort this out. They in the end did thank me for what I had found out, but it was at first quite difficult for them to believe what I was experiencing. I also tested the charging ability. Claiming it can charge at 12V 3A may be a bit of a stretch. With the correct PD charger, it can get close to 2A at 12V but no where near what it states. It also says it can charge a phone from the type c port at 5V 2A. From the picture of it charging my tablet, the voltage drops quite a bit even when it isn’t close to 2A. I feel if it reached the current it claims, the voltage would drop to a point where it wouldn’t charge your device correctly. It seems to do the job, but very slow. Yet more negatives is that with my replacement, the tweeter on the back must not have been sealed in place correctly. Whenever there was a lot of bass, you could hear air being forced in and out around it. Basically like port noise. This to me shows that there may be some inconsistency with build and quality control too, but I think this is not going to normally be the case as my first one sounded fine. In the end I returned both though. Onto the sound. It isn’t totally without issues here either but none are at all big, and if I try and ignore the other issues with the speaker, the sound is very impressive for the price and size of the speaker. Again, I will start with the areas that could be improved. This speaker has very impressive low end. Those saying it is lacking need to factor in just how small it is and not just how it sounds. It sounds massive for it’s size. I also don’t get the problem with volume being to quiet. You can’t expect a small speaker like this to be loud while maintaining a clean and accurate sound. This limits it nicely and never distorts. The problem is just how separate the low end is from the mid range. There is a hole in the middle effect. There is very little in the way of mid bass. It seems very boosted from around 55hz – 75hz and sounds incredible if the music being played just has bass at around these levels. If it goes beyond that, it can sound incredibly lacking. I find the bass dial always needs to be on full as it controls bass at around 100hz and if you turn it down, you get the low end and virtually nothing in the middle. If you use EQ on your input device, you can get it to sound brilliant though. But it could either do with the mid bass boosting or not so much weight on the low end. And if marshall had tuned it slightly differently (which would have been possible), it really could have been outstanding here. Something that I think is good is that is sounds pretty much the same from all angles, but there is unfortunately a negative effect that I think is related to this. As you have the left and right channels coming from the front and back, you get an odd echo effect. Even worse when against a wall. Many instruments sound very distant as if they are in some large hall and sound quite artificial at times. As a very critical listener, I was not a fan of this as it would have been avoidable at the expense of the sound coming from all directions. I don’t think this is such a disadvantage as the audio quality for the size is still more than acceptable. If it didn’t have the aux input problem and the 2nd purchase didn’t have an issue with the tweeter, this speaker would have been 4 stars, maybe 5 now the price has gone right down. But the input issue and faulty unit really makes me disappointed with this speaker on the whole. But don’t let this review put you off if you are a bluetooth only user, as in that case, I think it will likely be outstanding, especially at the price it is at now. The build of this speaker is the best thing about it. It is remarkably solid compared to most stuff these days. Got a good weight to it and the dials have a great rubber grip. I wouldn’t worry about this getting a bit wet or getting bumped about. Since I returned this speaker, I took a risk and went with something very different. The IKEA ENEBY 20. This is built nothing like as solid and not waterproof in any way. It also is a little bit bigger in every direction, which does make it seem pretty large in comparison. But what made me try this out was because of the reviews it was getting. And the fact that the speaker plus the battery for it is just £60. And I’m being honest here – it sounds better. With the expense of it not being as practical, the sound and price makes up for all of this. It doesn’t have stereo, but has no echo sound effect and not a hole in the middle between the midrange and bass either. You can make it better with EQ too. I would actually recommend the ENEBY 20 over the Stockwell II now. But can fully understand that the need for the small size and build can outweigh saving money for the other speaker. If you are after good sound though and value for money, there is not really any comparison. The ENEBY 20 has a dial like the Stockwell II which is pretty hard to find and also has bass and treble EQ built in though is harder to use. Very long but hope some of you find this review helpful as it seems I have had a very different experience to most. Update: I've since been to several stores to see if this is in stock, and after finding another, this aux sleep / delay problem is still there, so it clear that all will be the same. I have also attached a video I made at the time I had it which shows this problem, as well as the rattling with the replacement I got.

100% recomendable para quien quiera potencia media.
The media could not be loaded. No he odio nada mejor.

Mmm nothing special
I don't understand why everyone leave 5 stars on this, but this speaker have nothing special, is good in lower listening, in a small room, after 50% of volume start to sound average, is just 20watts. there is way better speakers in the market at lower prize then this, like sony xb33, im not happy about this speaker

It's the little things that'll make you smile
I watched many reviews on Youtube before buying this portable bluetooth speaker, and I'm so glad that I made this choice. The speaker is a lovely size and weight, and the strap really finishes it off nicely. I really enjoy the small touches like the way the battery level indicator smoothly scrolls up to max when I switch the speaker on, the satisfying quality "click" feel when I turn the volume know to power-on the speaker, the USB-C charging port (which doubles as a phone charger if I need it to), the very slightly warm Marshall sound signature, the bluetooth pairing sound that's identical to my Marshall Mid ANC headphones. It's a modern-day piece of audio artwork. A real gem.
