Easy to fold, lots of shades

These are good papers for origami. Turns out, only having one paper of every color isn't that great - especially since the stack is not sorted by color. So, if you are looking for a yellow paper, you may have to do through the whole stack to find it because its between a green and a blue. But there are multiple shades of yellow, so you know you have more than one sheet of yellow. Its a little frustrating honestly. But, if you are wanting a variety of colors of paper, this has it. Its also nice thin paper making it easier for designs that have many layers of folds. Overall, this is a nice pack of paper if you don't mind hunting for the color you need. If you wanted to make multiple projects that go together, you will either need to order multiple packs of paper or go with a different pack that has multiple sheets of the colors you want to use.

I am by no means an origami expert, but my son is obsessed with origami and goes through a lot of paper. I assumed that it wouldn't be difficult to find paper, but surprisingly the first few times we tried to buy paper on Amazon (different products than this one) it was different from advertised. It was either 2 sided (without having specified that) or it was just normal paper in origami size or it felt like wrapping paper that had been cut up. This is cheap, it feels like my conception of 'real' origami paper, and it comes in many colors. I've repurchased this product on about 5 occasions over the years, about 15 packages total. The only possible issue (if it matters to you) is that you might need to order more than one packages of this at a time if you need to have multiples of the exact same color.

Good basic paper

I don't know much about origami paper, but this seems like a very good starting point. I just wanted to show my children what origami is and give them a chance to try it out. I didn't want to spend a lot of money or buy a huge amount of paper, so this seemed perfect. There are a lot of colors, but only one of each color. If you're giving it to children, just make sure they understand that they won't be able to have the same color as their sibling/friend. My kids didn't seem to have a problem with it. As far as the quality, it folded well and the colors are very vibrant and pretty. It is just the right thickness and texture to make any basic origami project. It comes with some project ideas on the packaging, and I also found a few project ideas online. The kids had fun and learned a new skill. Mission accomplished!

Fantastic Color Assortment

I did not buy this paper to use for origami, so I can't speak to its usefulness for that purpose. I bought it for other craft projects and was attracted to this brand because of the fantastic color assortment. As noted by other reviewers, you only get one sheet of each color - but what an assortment. I did not give it the full 5 stars because I can not vouch for it as good origami paper, but if you need a stack of paper in a huge assortment of colors, this is a great choice.

Really nice paper

This product is a good bargain. HOWEVER, there are 100 sheets and they are all DIFFERENT COLORS. It's fine but if you want to do complex polyhedra and things made from 6 pieces to 120, sometimes you want all the same color. So this will be fun too, trying to get creative on the color scheme. One thing I would consider is getting a package with 36 pieces of metallic paper, that's what I did, so I can get some sparkle into them all. This would be great for children who like to do smaller projects from a single sheet. For a school- teacher. There's something fun (nerdy) about having packaging that's clearly Japanese. I bet that I find other uses for paper as nice as this besides origami, making cards and writing thank you notes. This was pretty cheap but the paper is just BEAUTIFUL.

good solid product

So I know nothing about Oragami but my 9 year old is completely into it. He gets books from the library and will work on it for hours. When this product arrived I thought it was very small but again.. I know nothing about oragami. It has great colors and I guess it was important that they have two different colored sides so all the sheets are white on one side and a vibrant color on the other. My boy is thrilled with this and I would buy it again. One note is that there was one gold and one silver metallic sheet which he used immediately, would have like to have more then just one of each.

Beautiful paper

Thin but sturdy. Good value. Bright colors. Easy to fold with precision. This is my favourite brand of origami paper.

HAPPY but also a bit sad

THE PAPER IS GOOD! When I got it it was great shape. its really smooth and 1 side is white and the other color, 1 thing though if you are making origami that requires d same color more than once you might not want this in particular. I had to buy another one from a different brand for this matter and because of the size. If you are doing origami dat requires a larger piece because it turns smaller I would be careful with this paper. I havent tried making things like dat on this paper yet but I will try. other than that it was great
