Quieter than the last one
I have three of these and this one seems quieter. They all still work after years of use and battery life is great.

Cheap plastic pump
These aerator pumps work ok for a while. While not putting out alot a air they do run a long time on the batteries. The problem with these aerators is that the pump is made from cheap plastic that cracks after a few months in hot conditions. It doesnt matter if you use it or not. They all break down and crack. The cracks start as micro cracks so you probably wont notice them but it affects the performance of the aerator. Basically they start cracking and loose their seal and their ability to pump air like they did when new.

I really like it
I used Duracell batteries. It uses 2, so I bought 4 so I had back up. I’ve used it twice, once it was dropped in water for brief second and another time it was mounted on side of bucket out in the pouring ran for 15-20 minutes and I didn’t find any water inside when I checked, so seems to be fairly water resistant. I kept track of time, and first trip the unit was on non-stop for 25 hours. 3 days later I used it again and it was on for 24 hours. While it’s quiet, I noticed that around the 37 hour mark it got quieter. Thought batteries would die but it still put out plenty of bubbles and kept fish in perfect condition. I’m guessing batteries will die next trip but so far 49 hours on same batteries and not a single dead fish in bait bucket, I’m impressed.

Much Quieter than my previous bubbler
Use this for my ice fishing minnow bucket. It's a lot quieter than the previous bubbler that failed after 2 years from another manufacturer. This unit is well protected with it's case. The case has a gasket to keep moisture out. It's a bit heavier, but looks to last longer.

Did Its Job Well!
We just transported our two freshwater fish from L.A. to Memphis in a 5-gallon Craftsman bucket that we bore a 1" hole in the top. The tank heater was suctioned to the inside of the bucket and plugged into the cigarette lighter. We used this little gem for aeration and it worked perfectly! It runs on two DD batteries and we had it running 24/7 for 4 days straight. Only had to change the batteries once, which was less often than was directed on the box. It's a little louder than expected but still relatively lightweight and no louder than most tank filters. We HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone transporting fish.

Great aerator
after replacing too many of the regular bubble boxes due to saltwater damage i paid the extra and got this one. that decision has saved me a lot of money. the aerator works well and has been totally waterproof so far. it isnt much quieter than the regular boxes though. Would recommend
