Light and portable
A good paddle, with the expected compromises. It has a good deal of “give” at the articulations but that applies to almost all 4-piece paddles. It may be a bit too short for those wide inflatable yaks it’s usually coupled with. It does the job and I would gladly buy it again, though.

Great Pack Paddle
Got this for my pack raft, it’s exactly what I was looking for. It is plenty sturdy enough for river / lake crossings on my hunting trips. I don’t plan on using it heavily so it does it’s intended job just fine. Price, quality and weight right where is should be.

Very light and useful, excellent for light packrafting
Update: I am amazed and very happy with the purchase. They’re extremely light and provide sufficient force in the paddle on slight winds and against current and can take a bit of abuse! Just be very careful not to drop them when disassembled onto hard surfaces as the tubes may bend and therefore make it either difficult or impossible to reassemble this happened to me and made it slightly more pressed against the tube so there was actually less play but definitely was still able to disassemble with ease. This was my fault for not being careful and taking them out of their included storage mesh bag. Original review: I really like the color and look of it I have no idea if it is functional as I am new to pack rafting and wanted to get something very light and portable and this is perfect for that! I have no clue how it’s supposed to perform in water but I don’t intend going open ocean or whitewater rafting on this anyway so the portability and build is really good I attached pictures of the blades as I couldn’t distinguís them in the description photos. The color is more of a space gray tone and the paddles are black and of plastic material.

Light, compact
This thing is flimsy! But I knew that reading reviews and I’m ok with that. I’m pretty sure I can break it paddling hard with it. I use this in my light weight inflatable kayak that I barely fit in. I chose this and the kayak to pack into secluded lakes, and I couldn’t be happier.

Good for packing along in a carry-on
I bought this mainly for going to destinations by air since I already own a paddle that breaks in half to go in a car boot. No frills but completely serviceable and looks like something I can get plenty of use from. It seems a little pricey based on the design and materials alone but I can't say I found anything cheaper elsewhere and typically accessory sales are a major profit center so I can't fault AE on that. If you're looking for a 4-piece paddle on a budget you probably won't find anything less dear and you should be satisfied with this item.

Good buy for the $
Haven't had a chance to test the paddle out yet. For the price you get what seems like a good paddle. I bought this one for it's take down ability and it's light weight with out spending a fortune for a paddle I plan on using for back packing. The blades are better quality than the cheapy blue and yellow paddles. But they are still a little on the flimsy side. That's the 4 star rating. I also like the 4 piece design and it will allow to to leave a section out and just use 3 pieces for a shorter and lighter paddle.

This paddle broke down into 4 pieces and made a small and light package which I packed on an airplane with my AE packlite inflatable kayak. They are not too sturdy - the whole set up is still a "toy" kayak, but it was fun to noodle around in the ocean on a week long beach camping trip. The paddles are probably too heavy for a backpacking trip. I think the paddle part which is small in volume and made from a seemingly flimsy plastic might break if you used them too roughly.

Great and inexpensive!
I was really impressed with the fitting tolerences of the pole and where they attach. little to no play in the connecting pieces and it works with our without both of the middle pieces which is great for packing lighter or smaller frame bodies. A1 will for sure purchase more. Great for value, and as good as some very expensive paddles i've bought years ago.

A great getting in paddle.
It’s not carbon fibre but it’s light enough and easy to carry. Very durable construction. Haven’t used it in crazy conditions but it did help to cross a lake and do a river float. I think it might stand up to a little rapids work. Works really well with a pack raft situation. Priced fairly for an entry level paddle. Recommended.

Light, sturdy, inexpensive, pick two
This paddle is light and inexpensive. Not to say that it isn't solid enough, but the blades have been kept small to avoid overpowering this paddle. As a remote touring paddle on flat water, it is adequate, but most will grow weary of the small blades if they are trying to cover larger distances. Overall, it is a great value for those seeking something light enough to carry on their backs or on their bikes.

It's a decent light weight 4pc paddle
I bought this for packrafting. At 224cm I like the length (I'm 5'6"). It is super light and I also like the small shaft (hard to find in 4pc). I have compared only to the "airhead" 4pc sold by Amazon and I find it much heavier and i over power my packraft. I also have tried a carbon Werner cameno and I prefer this paddle for packrafting so far.

Breaks down into short length pieces .
Really liked that they are easily stored in the trunk or back seat. Still a nice rigid paddle once assembled. Plenty good enough for this amateur.
