Perfect for my needs.

Was very easy to set up and so far seems to be accurate. I like how you can have the screen automatically dim at 9pm and brighten up again at 6am or have it at full brightness or dim all the time.

Awesome! No more Worrying about Temps in Basement and Garage

I have large thermometers in the unfinished part of the basement and the garage, but during the last deep freeze, I was worried about pipes freezing so I needed to check them several times a day. I thought there must be a better way and Accurite provided it. This is an awesome system if there are places in your house that it's important to monitor the temperature. With three sensors and the base unit, you have four areas that can be monitored. The sensors can even be place outside and alarms for temperature and humidity can be set for each sensor. I have the base unit on my nightstand and can see at a glance the garage, screened porch, and unfinished basement temperatures. I set an alarm for the basement if the temperature goes below a certain temperature. The setup and installation is easy. The only thing that the instructions weren't clear on was you have to set a switch under the sensor batteries to correspond to the correct place on the base unit. But that's easy once you understand it. As soon as I placed the sensors, the base unit began picking up the temperature and humidity. The only down side for me is I wish you could add more sensors but it's a useful system that keeps me informed without running up and down the basement stairs to check the thermometer, especially during the freezing nights.

Easy stand-up

Likes: easy to assemble & startup. Bringing the sensors into view was a snap (as compared to others out there) . Set a given sensor channel, put the batteries in & a few seconds later, the display indication appears. The setup controls are conveniently located on the front & makes it faster to implement the basic settings (time zone, time, date ... ) Not a diss, but room for improvement - Would like to see: A display dimmer control or automatic day/night brightness. As setup in the kitchen window, over the sink, this makes a great night light ... but a bit too much in a 12x16 kitchen. Easy to read metric: Though large enough characters, doesn't read well at steep viewing angles.

FInally found a multi Sensor System

Needed a temperature gauge/system that would report two outside (one garage) locations. Purchased this system after going through two other systems. One, of which was physically a multi sensor system, but would never sync up more than one sensor, Tech Support was hit or miss, regurgitating the same steps of pull batteries, re-insert and wait 3 minutes, if no-go, try again, IT was returned. The other, which was categorized as a multi sensor system but when received, found they classified one inside, one outside was a multi sensor system, Returned immediately. Received this system, powered, synced all three remote sensors, worked great. Placed them in their locations, Garage, Outside and in our Atrium, all are working great. Having all the sensors readouts on the screen at the same time is a bonus. Range of the sensors seems okay, my furthest sensor is about 75 feet away but goes through 4 or 5 walls will usually one bar of signal, My only issue with this unit is the display, it requires a pretty narrow viewing 'cone', the numbers dim rapidly as you get off-axis, especially viewing it on the tilt stand or up on a wall, while setting down. It IS pleasing and acceptable in most cases. My only concern as with anything is the reliability. After reading reviews of most of the

Humidity levels at the best!

Have had this for a couple of weeks; watched YouTube to get it set up (fairly easily done). Place 3 sensors under my house in the crawl space -- I've had water issues for years (another story for another day). I made a spreadsheet and logged the temp and humidity for each 'named' location for well over a week. Humidity numbers were HIGH!!! Had a dehumidifier ordered and once it was installed (just a few days ago), I watched the humidity levels go down by the hour! Excited to say the least! I used to have the small hand-held humidity testers but had to get under the house (and I'm an older woman - this kind of physical activity is not my preference). Now, I don't have to open the crawl space door, use a flash light, get on my hands and knees to crawl around. I have the base unit in my sitting room and can check the readings at any time. These sensors can be hung with plastic 'electric ties' -- moved around if needed. This is AWESOME! I hope the unit will last a long time, or I'll get another -- best purchase I've made in a very long time. The base unit will tell me if any of the batteries are low or quit working. I can place a sensor under my deck (out of weather) and get weather readings -- amazing! Right now, I want to get humidity levels down and feel more comfortable about what's going on under my house. It's working! I'm sure I haven't mentioned everything but this has truly been great and the price was more than reasonable. The color display base unit is very pretty! The readings on the base -- 3 are from the sensors and the 4th reading is inside my house (I was confused about the set up from the screen but YouTube helped step by step). This may be considered the 'honeymoon stage' but I sure hope we can be a pair until 'forever'!! Because I'm celebrating having this AcuRite Model 06036 in my home!!

Good Overall

The weather prediction is not as accurate as previous models of AcuRite products we've had, but the multi-zone function is very useful and it is easy to set up.

Very Practical - update

This wasn't exactly the design I was looking for and was more money than I had planned to spend, but that being said, I'm most pleased with this purchase. It works as stated and is a very handy device. The auto-dim feature is practical at night. It's simple to set up and operate and the temperature and humidity readings are easy to see, although the precipitation indicator, clock and date are somewhat less visible. I'd buy it again. UPDATE: I had to upgrade it to 5 stars. It fell into an aquarium and filled with water. Took about a week for the water marks inside to go away, but it works as it did before its big swim. Amazing. Follow-up: Although I've come to love this, unfortunately one of the temperature sensors has stopped working. Despite valiant efforts, the unit will not receive a signal from it. Sadness.

Useless device, not accurate, doesn't work

As much as I really like the product for appearance, design and ease of reading, I cannot recommend it. It is useless. It will not pick up data from the 3 sensors, even when they are placed a foot away. It will display random data, and will not update to its own sensors. I even removed the batteries from the sensors, and it still displays random false readings. When I reset it, 2 false readings show up. Where they come from? Who knows? No amount of fiddling and resetting works. And many times the readings are all over the place. See pics. I returned the first defective unit for replacement, which they promptly did. The replacement didn't function either. Sadly, I had to return this one for a refund. This is unfortunate, as this product is very smart looking and would be perfect for my needs, if only it functioned as it should.

Very good product!

I use this unit to monitor the temperature in my house, garage, greenhouse, and outdoors. It seems to be reasonably accurate and reliable. I have had the remotes outside in the cold for 2 months and haven't any issues, nor have I had to change the batteries. Read the instructions on how to set the frequency for the remotes or you might lose your marbles trying to figure it out on your own. Setting it up is a bit of a pain because the interface is not that intuitive. Luckily once it is set up, you won't have to mess with the settings again. That is, unless you neglected to install the backup batteries in the main unit and unplug it. Then you'll get the pleasure of setting it all up again. I wish you could input your own custom names for the zones, but the preloaded list is pretty good. Overall, it's very useful and a decent value.

Bright appealing display

Great 4 zone temperature and humidity monitor. We had a couple of grey LCD ones before, but having one bright display to show all our zones is very nice. Great product.
