Look good and are well-made
This is our second set of South Main Hardware handle pulls we tried. Last year we got a set of 10 aged bronze ones in a different style for our kitchen. We got 10 free to replace the plain ugly silver tube ones that had been there since the 50’s. We liked the free 10 pack enough to buy a larger pack and finish off the kitchen with them. Those pull handles worked out well so when we were offered these to review we were interested. To be honest we weren’t sure about plain black but the styling is nice and we figured we could always tint them later or buy alternative coloring if eventually they come in different finishes. These were for our bathroom which has small white 50’s cabinets that are shaped a bit oddly with smaller than today’s drawers and cupboard doors. But for us they worked perfectly. The existing hardware already has 3” hole spacing so these handles can be a direct replacement. Packaging The handles arrived as 10 handles in separate sealed plastic bags with the pull handles wrapped in a thin foam sleeve to protect them from friction-based wear. A small bag of 4 screws comes in a separate, small bag. The handles only require two screws but the manufacturer was nice enough to provide two lengths so these will fit both older period cabinets like ours or modern ones which often have thicker MDF type panels. The Handles The handles are very nice. They have some heft to them and feel well made. The finish is a satin light gloss finish and very smooth. They are exquisitely shaped with nice smooth tapers; the handles protrude out a little further than the previous style. This means that people with larger hands like my husband have an easier time getting their fingers around the handles for a better grip. The finish of these is really nice. Unlike a lot of inexpensive handles the reverse side of the grip is as well finished as the front. One gripe we had with the previous set was that the reverse side had raw casting that felt rough and dug into your fingers when pulling a heavy drawer. By contrast, these are wonderfully smooth and offer no discomfort. The only casting visible is on the bases at the ends where the handles back onto the cabinets. Completely invisible once mounted. These aren’t completely plain either. There is a nice detail in the raised lip around the outer edge of the handle ends which is a nice touch and make these look a bit more sophisticated than simple plain rounded edges would be. Installation Since we were replacing existing handles with the same hole spacing, installing these was a breeze. If you have a short, stubby screwdriver there isn’t even any need to remove the contents of the drawers. These handles were threaded the same as the original handles so we didn’t even need to change the screws. We used the screws that came with these handles because they are Philips heads which are easier to mate with the screwdriver so less fumbling in awkward tight spaces. The handles all screw in from the back inside of the furniture with the threaded holes inside the handles being the equivalent of the nut. So it’s very easy to replace existing handles; even for a novice it should only take a minute or less each. Conclusion We only needed three handles in the bathroom. And we are glad we got these. The black looks very nice against the white cabinets giving the bathroom a slightly more modern look. You get 10 in the set and we just happened to have a cupboard built into the wall in the main corridor of our house that has 5 drawers and two doors which made the remaining 7 handles the perfect number. We replaced the cheap looking golden color handles with these black ones. That resulted in a improvement too. It just happens that we have a couple of dark colored pet gates in that part of the corridor blocking the rest of the house from our three pugs. The new handles matching the gates made everything look more like they belong together. So both my husband and I are really pleased with the new handles. And the dogs haven’t chewed these yet like they did the gold ones when they were tiny puppies. I’ve included some photos to show you how they turned out.

Excellent quality
I’m very impressed with these. We absolutely love the styling and finish. All solid metal with no flaws, seams, or rough edges. They come with two different size screws, and the threads in the pulls are all perfectly machined. I have yet to find the slightest problem, and I have several sets of these now. They’re calling this “traditional” and boy are they ever, to me. These are thicker, more substantial than others I’ve seen in this shape. Usually they’re flat, cast iron. We had those on the kitchen cabinets when I was growing up. To me these are a lot more elegant, though, so more like ‘upscale traditional’, if you will. The extra rim around the ‘feet’ is a nice touch, along with the gentle curve and slight flare in the middle. The extra style detail is quite classy, I feel like. Décor stuff is rather subjective anyway, in my opinion, but they have a rather large assortment of styles to pick from. While many of their styles can be used in different situations, I do feel like these are just straight up traditional. I’ll certainly update if there are any wear and tear issues, but so far we’re quite pleased. As of this review, the product isn’t available yet. They may well add more pix before releasing, but as of now, there’s only the one. I’m not so good at measurements, so I did a couple of pix to show size. Please note this is not representative of finish/color – I used backlight to help contrast for size and it makes everything look darker.

Give your cabinets an updated look.
These are really nice handle pulls by South Main Hardware. They come in a pack of 10, include 2 different sized screws, and are a nice flat black finish that are curved with a rounded foot. It's amazing how you can take an older cabinet & bring them a little more up to date just by changing the handles. These are a nice contemporary look & seem to be made well. Each one is thick, sturdy, & weighs about 2 ounces each. They arrived individually wrapped with the screws attached to each wrapping per handle. That's nice if someone is buying them & doesn't need to use the whole quantity, like us. We updated our bathroom vanity & used 6/10 of them. They were easy to install & look very nice! I'm very happy with the look & quality. If you think you will be updating multiple projects, & may need more in the future, I'd recommend ordering them all at once. This way you can ensure you get them all to match just in case a style or color becomes unavailable or is discontinued. 5 Stars. Highly recommend these. :)

Another Great Product from South Main Hardware
We have both reviewed and purchased multiple sets of South Main Hardware products, and I have never been disappointed. These are replacing old pulls in our bathroom and are being used with a medium wood grain. It's amazing how the simple act of changing pulls can make such a huge difference in the look of a room! Because they replaced pulls with the same rough dimensions, installation was a breeze. The construction is sold, the screws fit nicely, and the pulls hold securely. I can see them fitting a variety of door/drawer thicknesses, within reason. If your drawer or door is too thick, you'll need longer screws. But, that is something you would probably notice in advance. The finish is sturdy and durable. No scratching during installation, and a little bit of usage seems to not have impacted them negatively. Being in the bathroom, I definitely look for something easy to clean, and these fit the bill. After such positive review experience, South Main Hardware is now my go-to brand for hardware supplies. They are solid, durable, classy, and great for a quick, basic facelift. I'll be browsing for a new bathroom towel holder very soon.
