I have a really big old desk that’s a hand-me-down from my dad’s business. It’s extremely deep and all wood, but with no handles, so I’m constantly breaking my nails on the drawers. I admit it’s a little used, but it’s still a very nice desk, and these handles fit with it very well. I hate to sound wishy washy, but I feel like these could go in a rustic situation just as well as a more formal or modern situation. I can’t say which is best, but I think that makes them more useful. They’re nice enough to dress up a casual décor, but if you have serious rustic décor, these dark ones would fit in nicely as well. They’re solid and very sturdy. The holes were all threaded well, and all screws needed were included. Definitely good quality and well made. No burrs or flaws. Seriously impressed with them. Very pleased! I’m good about updating if any issues pop up. Any questions, feel free to comment or email.

Beautifully crafted and machined pulls, heavy and substantial
These are great pulls, whether you use them for drawers or cabinet doors or find some other clever use for them. The machining on these pulls is very impressive, they were done with great care and craftsmanship and each one comes separately wrapped in foam and then sealed in a clear plastic bag--and if you've ever seen the carelessness with which some retail pulls are packaged, you will appreciate how much care was taken to protect these. I have a longer set of pulls (10-inches with 7-inch centers) from South Main that I'm already using my my kitchen and I'm going to use these for a series of drawers. The pulls each come with two sets of screws (one long, one short) so that you can match the screws to the depth of the wood that you're working with. The dark bronze color is beautiful. Buying pulls might seem like a simple thing if you're updating a kitchen (which is what I'm trying to do on the cheap, alone), but when you start to see all of the variety of what's out there it quickly gets overwhelming. But these pulls are so substantial and so nicely crafted that I'm glad I found them early on. The end edges have a nice bevel and the welds (and I'm assuming whats how they are constructed) are invisible. These pulls will last a lifetime (a long lifetime) and if you're going to go to all the trouble to replace pulls (select them for a new installation), buy something that will last and hold up to daily ware.

Update / Upgrade With South Main Pulls
I ordered two sizes of these South Main Hardware Handle Pulls. The Straight Euro Style Bar handle pulls look and feel like high end, modern and substantial. The slightly smaller size are exactly what’s needed to complete a DIY project with a wood dresser that I picked up second hand. The dresser’s original finish was trashed, but I bought it because it was built solid with dovetail drawers, all indicative of a once high quality piece. The drawer fronts were smooth, no handles. Each opened via “hidden” finger grips along the bottom lip of the drawer. DH and I worked on it together, giving it several coats of high-gloss paint, sanding in between coats, and ending with a hard-finished coat. The finish looks like it came out of a quality furniture factory. It coordinates beautifully with the modern style furnishings of our guestroom, but I didn’t realize it was missing a certain something until I saw South Main’s European drawer pulls. The brushed bronzed handles will perfectly contrast with the high gloss paint. The fact that they are from South Main Hardware was what ultimately led me to get them to finish the dresser. We previously updated our master bath with towel racks and towel bars from South Main and have been completely satisfied. Highly recommend.

I'm amazed that these are this inexpensive for the quality! They are heavy, solid metal with a perfect finish. I picked up three different lengths as replacements for drawer and cabinet handles on our office furniture. These new handles are identical except for the overall length. The "ends" protrude approximately 1" on either side - it's the same for any length. It was literally a few seconds to change out our existing handles. One BIG difference with these handles - the screw holes are deep. Each handle come with two pairs of screws, short and long. Our cabinet doors are thin - 1/2" - this means we had to cut the screws down for our previous handles. Not with these ones! There's plenty of depth in the handles - I mounted these on 1/2" thick cabinet doors and 1 1/4" thick drawer faces.

Very high quality, attractive handles in the European style
I had been thinking about adding some decorative, though functional, hardware to my kitchen drawers and these came my way. I like the look a lot, clean, rubbed, black, and stylish. They are also dense, if that makes any sense. Some handles can feel flimsy, lightweight, almost hollow. Cheap. These are elegant and quite substantial. I was able to put these as well on some cabinets in my bathroom. You get ten handles in the package, which comes complete with necessary hardware to install. They do not come with any directions, but if you don't not how to put these onto drawers or cabinets, there are dozens of sites on the Internet as well as countless Youtube videos that can help you with the installation. If you are looking for handles and you like the clean, unadorned Euro style, you'll love these.
