So Cute & Comfortable

These are so great if you’re a thicker girl. I’ve been dying to get back into skating but knee pads are so hard to find for thick legs. They’re really cute too! The knee pads will take some adjusting from how the angle works (did not know that as a newbie) so don’t give up right away if it doesn’t feel comfortable.

Fits great! Also very comfortable. I'm on the heavy side and these fit amazingly. Very comfortable for my knees as well.

Full disclosure, I did return these but only so I could snag a different color from a local shop. These are **THE ONLY** knee pads to fit fat folx. I tried other brands and they just didn't cut it. These have a stretchy sleeve across the back of the knee/inside of the elbow, plus elastic straps for security. I played softball for decades and developed some massive calves from it. I tried 3 other sets of pads that said they'd fit my knee measurements and couldn't get any of them over my calf. These are fine going over my calves and still feel secure around my knees. The Velcro on the elastics does get a bit pinchy/scratchy if you're not wearing pants/long sleeves. For me, the wrist guards are too big but they still stay on securely. The upper part of the elbow pads sleeve is a little more squishy than I'd like but it's the best fit by far compared to any others I tried. The colors are vibrant and fun - perfect for roller skating! The plastic shells on the knee pads are really, really bulky. I feel like I'm not supposed to straighten by knees behind them. Mostly though, I'd just like them to look more like regular slimline skate pads. Overall, I'm super happy with this set. If you're a bigger skater, definitely give these a go! I will also encourage Moxie to expand the size range, expand the variety offered in Thick Set, and to slim down the shells :)

Meh!!

Let me start with the negative. I used the sizing chart and used an actual soft tape. I got them and put them on. First off the elbow pads cut my circulation off and the wrist guards seem cheap and the knee pad’s are awkward. But if you skate at a Skate Park or are learning some new tricks or jumps then I’d say get these. If you are a beginner then get them. I wish I’d gone with my gut and sized up. But then again I believe my wrist guards and knee pads would have been too big. I will use them a few times and make another review. This is just a review out of the box. But I put them on and fell on my knees for a test and didn’t feel a thing. They are nice and thick and that is what you want. But for trail skating or just a casual chill skate they aren’t it!!!! I have pads I got at Walmart that were cheap and been using them for two years and they did their job. But I’m ready to expand my skating skill and style and I wanted some good protection. So I will be back for a follow up. If you are a super thin gal go for the XS I’m not but I measured for the XS and the elbow pads are gonna be a issue. Maybe once they stretch out they’ll be ok. You want them tight.

They fit

I have not used this set yet, but I tried them on to see if they fit my thick legs and they do. My thighs near the knees are about 19" and my calf is roughly 15.5". My upper arms near the elbows are close to 13". I have had a difficult time finding knee pads and elbow pads that work for me. One con I have is that these knee pads are very thick and bulky. But, I'm just happy I have something that wraps around my legs and arms without cutting off my circulation.

Only pads out there for fat people

I was naive in thinking I wouldn't need pads. On my first trip out on my skates, I ran into a tree and flipped over a fence. So pads are a must. Safety first and everything. Did you know that every other pair of skating pads on this website is not designed for someone of my size? I'm a size 18. I swear, so frustrating. But these Moxi pads are absolutely perfect. They feel high quality, and secure, and they're cute! It's a little frustrating that they cost 3-4x the price of all other pads on the market, but you get what you pay for in the best way. Now when I go out roller skating, I feel protected.

Why aren’t there more like this?!?!?!

It pissed me off when I couldn’t find pads to fit! And had to spend a bunch of extra $ for these, but they are well worth it. THANK YOU SHOVE! For inspiring these and getting them available to the public. My arms are a bit larger than yours but these have saved my skin every time I fall! Much love

Perfect size except for the wrists

These are great for plus size athletes! I’ve always struggled with finding knee pads that fit my thick thighs. Finally, Moxi solved that problem. I’m thrilled to be able to skate safely. They are a little awkward at first, but I’m told skate pads are designed this way on purpose. If you are a bigger human, the thicc set is perfect. I was afraid they wouldn’t fit because their description didn’t include my size, but I didn’t need to worry. They are fantastic and will definitely fit people larger than a 2X US size.
