Does the job of de-veining the shrimp, but not cutting the head as the plastic is not that sharp like a knife.

Disappointed in use on smaller shrimp
This is very light and may be helpful if you are processing a ton of larger shrimp. For the size shrimp I used it on (medium), a pair of scissors produced a cleaner break with the shell. On this size shrimp, the tool tended to create a ragged edge as it passed through the shrimp and under the vein. I will try again on a larger size shrimp.

Cool tool for shrimp!
It was good, easy to use. It takes a little time to figure out how it works best. Works best on large shrimp, not very good on small.

I must not be smart enough.
To be fair, I only tried it on one uncooked, store-bought fairly large shrimp. On that attempt, it smushed the shrimp, broke it in half and pretty much left the shell attached. I decided that, rather than practice, I would do the rest of that batch by hand. I will try again and update if appropriate.

Very flimsy. Poor quality
I cook an awful lot of shrimp as I'm here in Florida and I'm able to get gigantic shrimp for about $6 a pound. I figured this would be the perfect Gadget. If it was made with stronger materials it might work better. The wife and I did a competition she used this gadget and I used a knife and it took a little longer with the gadget that it would with just using a knife.

Larger than expected
I haven’t had the chance to try it out as of yet (not sure how it works either, so will need to search on that) and although it’s larger than I anticipated, the non-slip handle is, well, just that.

Missing something?
Pinching the body off with your finger tips is easier than using this tool. Most of my prawns wouldn’t fit anyways. Also the deveiner and she’ll remover would be easier of there was a second blade like scissors that would separate the flesh from the shell like other tools I’ve seen. I probably won’t use this again, it just didn’t make removing the shell any easier than by hand.
