A great little item to own.
It seems like a lot to pay for an ice cream scooper, but it’s worth it to me: it works better than any scooper I’ve ever used, and ice cream is one of the joys of my life…why not embrace it with a great scooper? It has some kind of liquid in the handle that allows the ice cream scoop to just fall out. What more can I say? I love buying an expensive version of a humble thing. I like that it’s American made. I will own this for the rest of my life. I’ve bought two as gifts, as well.

Great scoop
Works really well however you cannot put in dishwasher. I did and it ruined the scoop. My fault the web site says not to put in dishwasher. I bought another one.

No better than the average scoop!
We eat a lot of ice cream and other frozen confections, so I finally went ahead and bought this ice cream scoop because of all the claims I read about its being "the best ice cream scoop in the world," or words to that effect. However, I had to give it only a three-star rating because it just didn't live up to the hype. I mean, look, it's an ice cream scoop, right? Sure it's easy to hold and clean! No problem there. But honestly, I've found that it's no better than the one I've been using (the red-handled one on the right), and on top of that, only produces a scoop about half the size a typical scoop. It does not warm on its own; you have to dip it in hot water first - but you can do that with any ice cream scoop, right? Plus it's significantly more expensive than average. Save your money, I say!

So inexpensive and worked so well that I bought every to make fancy presentations
I still microwave my ice cream for around 15 seconds to condition it, making it taste better as well as making it easier to scoop. Conditioned ice cream was still a big challenge to scoop with our old scooper. Rolling up a perfect ball of ice cream is so much easier and, for some reason, fun with the Zeroll.

Perfect little ice cream scoop
It works exactly as the description says it's supposed to. My hand warms up the handle and the scoop cuts through hard, frozen ice cream like a knife through room temperature butter. My only knock on this particular model is the scoop size of the ice cream is small--think a melon ball. If you were trying to do a double a traditional sugar cone you'd have to scoop 6-7 times.

I had no idea an ice cream scoop could be this good
Received my order today, and broke the Zeroll scoop out for use the same night. I had no idea an ice cream scoop could be that good. Yeah, you read the reviews, but it's hard to believe it for yourself until you actually hold the product and use it. I wasn't sure too if the hot, humid climate where I live would affect the use of this ice cream scoop, but I'm happy to say that it doesn't. It made beautiful little round balls of ice cream with almost no effort at all, from a hard-frozen tub. The leading edge of the scoop almost feels like it cuts smoothly into the ice cream. A welcome change from wrestling with almost bending spoons, other ice cream scoops that just mush the ice cream about without actually making a proper ball of it, or leaving the ice cream to melt a little on the counter before scooping. Build quality feels pretty solid, and after doing a wonderful job, washed up with zero hassle. The only downsides I can see are that I may be eating much more ice cream now that I have this, and that I also want a larger scoop size too for cones.

The Best Ice Cream Scope Available with One Major "But"
Let's start with the "but" to get it out of the way. This ice cream scoop is not dishwasher safe. I know, this may mean it is a non-starter for many of you, but I'd implore you to consider it anyways because it's so good. After being sick of my old scoop I wanted any new scoop that I bought to do a few things well: cut through ice cream easily and not need to use my finger or spoon to actually get it out of the scoop and into my bowl/cone. Zeroll does exactly this. It is so much easier to scoop out ice cream than anything else I've used. Having worked at an ice cream stand growing up, I certainly wish we had these. It has a great grip, can cut through ice cream easily, the ice cream doesn't stick into the scoop and makes a perfect scoop every time. For me it's well worth a little extra aggravation of having to wash it by hand. Being non-dishwasher safe is the only reason why I didn't give it a 5-star rating.

Finally a scoop that works with hard ice cream.
I bought a lot of scoops for ice cream but nothing work like this one! Even if my ice cream comes directly out of the freezer, it scoops easily. It does small balls of ice cream.

Makes Scooping Ice Cream So Much Easier!
The small size of this is perfect for portion control. The scoops come out in approximately 4cm diameter balls, so quite a bit smaller than what you would get from an ice cream counter. It cuts through hard frozen ice cream really easily, the conductive liquid in the handle really works to warm the scoop.

I scream, you scream...
Can’t put it in the dishwasher but cmon it’s easy to clean. Nice scoop, makes me feel like I’m in Ye Olde Cone Shoppe.

Just perfect
A perfect scoop for ice cream, if you hold it under hot water for a bit before scooping to get perfect ice cream balls in seconds!
