Rabbits Out
We wanted to grow more pole beans, cowpeas and squash this year so we turned over an area of our yard. I installed some teepees and planted at the normal time I would plant seed for what I wanted to grow. Just after I planted, we experienced unusual amounts of rain and much of the seed never germinated due to too much water. The seed that did germinate, was quickly chewed off by the many rabbits that live in our area. The space quickly became a mess, so we've had to turn over the soil again after removing the supports for the vines. I should still have time to replant, but I know that I need to keep rabbits out of the area if I hope to be successful. The one inch mesh should keep the rabbits out and 24 inch height is easy enough for me to step over. Uncoated poultry netting can be difficult to to work with and even more difficult to roll up again for future use. This should be easier to use and reuse and will hopefully protect my plants long enough to get established. At least one of our local stores has this for about the same price. Since Amazon delivers quickly, I decided to just purchase it here.

Used it on a raised bed
I bought one roll to build a removable “cage” that goes on top of a 6x3 raised bed I recently built, to protect vegetables from rabbits that frequent my backyard. The height of the frames I built was 2 feet and the netting was slightly sticking out from the top, but it was very easy to fix by just folding the extra “hem” back on the frame as I staple the whole thing onto the frame with a staple gun. I like the vinyl coating and how it looks. It’s only been a week or so since I put it in the garden but no rabbit damage so far. Very happy :)

Good but Be Aware
I love the fact that it is vinyl coated. I am in the great northwest where moisture will cause such uncoated fence fabric to rust much sooner and wish there were more of this type, and other fence fabrics, came vinyl coated. However, the gauge on the wire is only 20 ga. This means this fence fabric is only usable, successfully, when it is on a framework of some sort, which in this case it was for the project I purchased this for. I do not suggest purchasing this product if you will not be using it on some sort of framework as it doesn't have the tensile strength to support itself as in making plant cages out of it. Otherwise the product is fine for in ground and framework applications. Would have purchased 18 or 16 ga wire but couldn't find any that was right height or vinyl coated.

Keeps rabbits out. I use half-width.
I use wire cutters (scissors work too, but I don't know for how long) to cut these down to half width. Then I cut to length and make little tubes to put around plants the rabbits like to eat. The ends of the piece can easily be bent to complete the tube. The rabbits don't go over the top and don't seem to try knocking them over. But I frequently knock them over - they blend in.

Very nice vinyl coated wire.
Exactly what I needed to protect my tomatoes from the pesky critters. For some reason, birds and other small critters try to enjoy my tomatoes as they ripen before I get a chance to taste them. So I pretty much enclose the tomato plants in a chicken wire cage to protect the critters from me. Think Dirty Harry with a BB gun. The vinyl coating makes the wire more transparent and avoids rust.

Great wire fencing, blends right in
Exactly what I was looking for! There were some gaps in my picket/vinyl fence that my small dogs were squeezing under, so I bent this in half and secured 1 ft to the fence and 1 ft to the grass. I attached it using zip ties and 6" garden staples. This stuff is strong and easy to work with. It is wire coated with flexible green plastic. It blends right into the grass. I had to cut it using tin snips, as I don't think regular scissors would work cutting it because it is so thick. This blends right into the grass. Dogs don't even try to get through it!

Chickenwire, contains lead
This is perfectly good chickenwire, but read up on lead content in chickenwire. I can't say whether the plastic coating reduces the leaching of lead into the soil. We returned it (had to pay return shipping)
